In the last 30 years, the Olympics have pretty much been dominated by the US, with only China winning once at Beijing 2008 and US came second. Although recently, China also gave them a scare at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and won 38 Gold Medals, which was one less than the US.

Our Olympic Tips
5/6/2024
"Coming into the 2024 Summer Olympics, the bookmakers have given us odds on Most Gold Medals, Most Medals Total, and also Over/Under markets for both.
One of the most eye catching ones I noticed was USA Total Medals line to be at 121.5 (over/under). Looking at the table above, we can see that in the past 30 years, the most medals USA has accumulated at one Olympics was 121 - back at 2016 Rio.
So even at their best performance, they still did not reach this amount, and even further away at the most recent Olympics".
Best odds for USA to receive less than 121.5 medals is 1.75 at Unibet.
"Another bet that I like from the early odds released, is the over/under line for Australia to win 13.5 Gold Medals. As per the table below and since 2000, Australia have only dipped under 13.5 medals once, which was back at 2016 Rio (8 Golds).
From all the Aussies likely to win Gold that we have analysed, we predict that there are 11 individual events (and 8 different athletes) where Australian's are the best in the world and are a lock to take out the Gold.
Of course, they may have an off day and not win, but that's not taking into account the other top rated Aussies worldwide (#2, #3 etc.) who may sneak themselves a gold from strong competitors. It will surely be happening both ways, but we are being conservative. The other event's we did not take into account are the team swimming, and with how strong our women swimmers are this year (and always) - I think there will be 3-4 golds come from there also.
I'm predicting 15+ Gold Medals for Australia".
Best odds for Australia to receive more than 13.5 gold medals is 1.75 at Unibet.
