❌ Fewer options for smaller sports

Australia's Best Fixed Odds
PlayUp is still a minor player in Australia but it won't be that way for too long. PlayUp is a simple, generous betting site that often has Australia's best fixed odds.
It's worth saying that of course PlayUp will not always have the best prices, but they are one of the bookies that you can always expect to be there. Otherwise, PlayUp has quality betting apps, great sports lines and is very easy to use.
Don't expect all the sports betting options in the world, PlayUp will give you all popular markets and a few specials for each match but for most people, including the pros, this is more than enough. PlayUp also offers Same Game Multis.
Launched in 2019, PlayUp is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - If you're looking for a new bookie, make it PlayUp.
2. BetBetBet

BetBetBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ BoB odds on Metro Saturdays
✅ Reasonable, fair bookie
✅ Near-instant daily withdrawals
✅ Great customer care
✅ Clean and easy to navigate
❌ No speedmaps/streaming

Honest, Personal, Real Aussie Bookie
BetBetBet is very similar to many of the other Generation Web bookmakers (TexBet, Southern Cross bet, PuntersPal etc.) in Australia - they use the same betting software and have very similar features and markets.
Those worth mentioning include Same Game Multis, a variety of futures markets, Best of the Best odds on metro Saturday races, Best Tote + SP odds, and exotics.
What really makes BetBetBet stand out though is the betting experience. They process withdrawals at least twice a day with Bendigo Bank fast payments meaning that you'll generally get paid out within a couple of hours. Additionally, unlike popular corporate bookmakers like Sportsbet, BetBetBet is less likely to promo ban and restrict you.
Launched in 2021 with exceptional client care, BetBetBet is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - Bet with BetBetBet if you want an honest, local racing bookie.
3. MidasBet

MidasBet Australia
Pros and Cons

✅ Responsive mobile design
Quick Facts
- Website: midasbet.com.au

Classic Local Racing Bookmaker
MidasBet only offers a couple of payment options like card, bank transfer, cash deposit, and POLi, plus only 15 or so different sports with only the main pre-match and futures markets, however, MidasBet's racing offer is quality.
You'll get Best of 3 Tote, Top Fluc, fixed odds prices for the win as well as Mid Tote place odds - that goes for every Aussie thoroughbred race. For other codes and countries you'll also get fixed-odds prices but generally only one tote option - Middle or Vic Win and Place odds. You can also expect exotics, major futures markets, and form/track information for any local or major international meet.
Don't expect fanciness or extra features like same game multis or speedmaps, MidasBet does racing betting (and a bit of sports) and does it well.
Launched in July 2022, MidasBet is licensed by Liquor and Gaming NSW - If you're looking for one of Australia's newest betting sites, then MidasBet is for you.

Australia's Newest Corporate Bookmaker
If you've been paying any attention to the world of Aussie bookmakers then the betr name should already be familiar to you. Bought to us by industry giants including Sportsbet's former head Matt Tripp, Murdoch's News Corp, and Las Vegas-based Tekkorp betr has all the benefits and pitfalls that come with corporate money and management.
This includes plenty of member promotions, thousands of weekly racing and sports markets, decent prices, and features like pro tips, betting apps, speedmaps, cash out, and same game/race multis - We've ranked betr as number out of all bookmakers for Same Game Multi.
Still, betr certainly seemed to overextend a bit during its launch with some outrageous offers, slow withdrawal processing, and largely non-existent support. Thankfully these issues have all been remedied though.
Launched in October 2022, betr is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Pick betr if you want to see what you're missing out on.
5. BetGalaxy

BetGalaxy Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Competitive fixed odds

✅ Build 20-leg multis

Quick Facts
- Website: betgalaxy.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: BetCloud
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Exotics
2023's Newest Betting Site
BetGalaxy is a member of the Victorian Bookmakers Association and the first new betting site to launch on the yet-to-be-tested BetCloud betting software.
Before signing up it should be noted that BetGalaxy is still very much a work in progress. It is fast, fresh, functional, and has enough sports and domestic racing markets at competitive fixed prices to get a bet on but anything outside that and they're severely lacking.
That means no features like same game multis or speedmaps, no tote racing products, and only a couple of ways to pay. Still, if you want to create an account before they become the next Sportsbet then now is the time.
Launched in 2023, BetGalaxy is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - Choose BetGalaxy if you love what's new.
6. WellBet

WellBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ New in 2023
✅ Intuitive iOS & Android apps
✅ Unique odds/lines
✅ Sharp racing fixed odds
✅ Set to add options/markets
❌ No tote odds
Quick Facts
- Website: wellbet.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: BetCloud
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Exotics
Modern, Competitive New Bookie
Just like its BetCloud-powered cousin BetGalaxy, WellBet has plenty going on behind the scenes - they've got a fast site, an intuitive app, and sharp odds.
However, at time of writing, there's still plenty to be desired. We're talking about no tote odds, only 10 or so sports betting options, no same game/race multis or speedmaps, and limited payment and support options.
Despite all this it's obvious to see that there's some quality behind this bookie and also rumors of many improvements in the works so we're excited to see what the next few months have in store.
Launched in 2023, WellBet is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - Consider WellBet if you're a fixed odds racing fan.
7. WinnersBet

WinnersBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Newly launched in 2020
✅ Small, no-nonsense bookie
✅ Best tote odds & protest payout
✅ Popular & fast-growing
✅ Plenty of Au & intl races
❌ Not the best for sports betting
Quick Facts
- Website: winnersbet.com.au
- Apps: None
- Software: Generation Web
- Features: Protest Payout
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best of 3 Totes, Top Fluc, Exotics
New Horse Racing Bookie
If PlayUp was a step away from the corporate bookmaker feeling, then WinnersBet is a jump away. Launched in 2020, this is a small, Aussie-owned option.
With a horse racing focus you'll get best tote odds, fast past the post payouts, and a protest payout for all Australian gallops. WinnersBet also has a solid selection of international racing markets, futures, and specials.
Don't expect fancy features, heaps of payment options, and even lots of sports betting markets, WinnersBet is not there yet. However, you will find quality customer service, generous extras, and high odds for all Australian races and popular global sports events.
Launched in 2020, WinnersBet is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - For a small Aussie-owned bookie, try WinnersBet.
8. Neds

Neds Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Same race, blended & split multis
✅ Functional & easy to use site/apps
✅ Range of instant deposit methods
✅ Special racing & sports markets
✅ High odds for hundreds of sports/races
❌ Poor live betting interface
Quick Facts
- Website: neds.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: Entain
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Cash Out, Live Streaming, Comments, Tips, Protest Payout, Statistics, Form Filter, Previews, Blog, Neds Card
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Best of the Best, Mid Tote + 5%, Nom Tote, Starting Price, Top Fluc, Exotics, Specials (eg. fav vs field), Mystery Bets, Pick Your Own Odds, Pick Your Margin
Awesome for Racing & Many Features
One of the hottest new bookmakers to launch in recent years, Neds is another online betting site that has it all.
While you'll find hundreds of sports betting options for 30+ different sports on Neds, this agency shines when it comes to racing. Expect all NZ and Australian races, hundreds of international racing markets, and heaps of extra information and racing features.
It's also worth mentioning that Neds' blended, split, and same game/race multi options are top-class. Neds' biggest let down is the weak live betting offering - which is understandable since live betting must be done on the phone in Australia.
Launched in 2017, Neds is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Choose Neds for racing.
9. Bet365

Bet365 Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Auto, partial & full cash out
✅ Multi-builder for 4 different sports
✅ 150,000+ live-streamed events every year
✅ The most payment options in Australia
✅ Consistently high odds for racing and sports
❌ Unappealing website design
Quick Facts
- Website: bet365.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: Bet365
- Features: Same Game Multis, Cash Out, Live Streaming, Statistics, Protest Payout, Live Golf Tracker, My Horses, Bet365 Card
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Fixed + Best Tote, Top Fluc, Exotics, Each Way Extra, Specials (eg. cover bets)
Many Payments & Bet Types
Bet365 is the world's biggest betting site with over 60 million worldwide users. Bet365 also pioneered many of the most common betting products including live streaming, cash out, the bet builder, and live betting.
Because Bet365 has a such a large customer base, they can afford to offer great prices for a immense number of sports markets - what this means is that you'll get the widest range of bets and consistently great prices from this bookie.
Bet365 also dominates the game with 150,000+ different sports live streams every year, full, automatic, and partial cash out options, a live golf tracker, and the most extensive bet builder (for same game multis) for soccer, tennis, AFL, and basketball.
Launched in Australia in 2012, Bet365 is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Choose Bet365 for the range of markets, bet builder, cash out & live streaming.
10. Dabble

Dabble Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Well-priced odds all-round
✅ Banter with mates and others
✅ Follow experts & copy bets
✅ Scroll popular bets
✅ Many special markets
❌ No website (app only)
Quick Facts
- Website: dabble.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: Dabble
- Features: Same Game Multis, Follow Tipsters, Copy Bets, Chat, Live Streaming
- Racing Products: Fixed, Top 4, Best Tote + SP, Exotics
Social Bookmaker with a Competitive Offering
As a true blue Aussie punter you may be put off by the new-fangled way that Dabble is approaching bookmaking. For example, Dabble has no betting website and on the app, you have the ability to 'follow', chat with and copy the bets of friends and expert tipsters. That's not to mention the 'Fixture Feed' which lets you scroll through the most popular bets for that match or race.
Fair enough.
Despite your possible reservations though, it cannot be denied that Dabble is already changing the way thousands of Australians bet, making wagering more fun, accountable, and profitable than it ever has been.
On top of this, Dabble has a pretty wide range of sports and racing markets from around the world, at competitive prices. We'd love to see more payment options, but otherwise, hats off to Dabble for a unique product packed with features and value.
Launched in 2021, Dabble is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Get the Dabble app whether you're into 'social betting' or not.
11. Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Huge variety of bet types
✅ Secure and fast payments
✅ Best Tote, SP & Top Fluc odds
✅ Stats, form guides, flucs & tips
❌ Almost identical to Neds
❌ Big corporate bookmaker
Quick Facts
- Website: ladbrokes.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: Entain
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Cash Out, Live Streaming, Comments, Tips, Protest Payout, Statistics, Easy Form, Previews, Mates Mode, Ladbrokes Card
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Best of the Best, Mid Tote + 5%, Nom Tote, Starting Price, Top Fluc, Exotics, Specials (eg. fav vs field), Mystery Bets, Pick Your Own Odds, Pick Your Margin
Quick Payments & Top-Notch Support
The oldest name in world betting, Ladbrokes is actually owned by the same company that owns Neds, Betstar, and Bookmaker.com.au.
This means that these betting sites' odds and options are almost identical but some of the layout, features, and functionality is slightly different. So, overall you'll get a great mix of competitive odds, many payment options, and quality features.
It also means that if you have an account with Neds (or Betstar or Bookmaker) you won't get much from Ladbrokes, so you're better off looking elsewhere for unique markets and prices. If this is your first bookie though, you won't have many complaints.
Launched in 2013 in Australia, Ladbrokes is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Go with Ladbrokes for a reliable betting experience.
12. BlueBet

BlueBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Best Tote + SP on Aussie gallops
✅ Great support & simple to use
✅ Many Cash Out, Multi & Futures markets
✅ Run by veteran bookie Michael Sullivan
❌ Sports & racing but no esports betting
❌ Missing racing features (no speedmaps)
Quick Facts
- Website: bluebet.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: BlueBet
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Cash Out, Live Streaming, Comments, Tips, Blackbook, Blog, Protest Payout, Dead Heat Payout, Statistics, Previews, Early Payout, Specials
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Tote + 5%, Fixed + Best Tote, Best of 3 Totes, Best Tote + SP, Best of the Best, Starting Price, Top Fluc, Exotics, Specials (eg. fav vs field), Mystery Bets, Head 2 Head
Small Local Bookie, High odds
BlueBet is an awesome bookie in most respects but has a few areas to work on before it becomes a real top betting site.
Probably the best thing about BlueBet is the Aussie-focus. Cash out, Same Game/Race Multis, social betting, low minimums, Best Tote + SP, and Protest Payouts are all offered. Being a local bookie, you'll also get great customer service from BlueBet.
BlueBet also has futures and special markets for sports and racing, and good odds on all markets. A few downsides include that BlueBet doesn't accept esports bets, that they don't have a huge range of options overall, and that they don't have horse racing speedmaps.
Launched in 2015, BlueBet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - For a True Blue betting experience, choose BlueBet.
13. Unibet

Unibet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Consistently high sports & racing odds
✅ 30,000+ live-streamed events every year
✅ Accepts Neteller, Skrill, PayPal & Apple Pay
✅ Cash-out, multi betting, blog & previews
❌ Customer support not available 24/7
❌ Poor betting app - hard to use
Quick Facts
- Website: unibet.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: Unibet
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Cash Out, Live Streaming, Speedmaps, Comments, Tips, Statistics, Previews, Blog, Betting Guides, Protest Payout, Dead Heat Payout
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Tote + 10%, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc, Exotics, Specials (eg. fav vs field), Mystery Bets, Head 2 Head
Many Payments & Live Streaming
I always think of Unibet as the younger brother to Bet365 - even though they aren't related. Unibet has it all - cash out, live streaming, unique payment options, heaps of bet types, and even live streaming.
The best things about Unibet are the high odds for certain bets/horses, the sports live streaming (30,000+ events every year), that this bookie accepts Skrill and Neteller payments, and also the unique prop and specials markets available for sports.
Still, Unibet has its faults. The Unibet app could definitely use an upgrade and Unibet's customer support team is only available from 9 am to 2 am AEST. These things may not seem like a big deal, and they aren't, Unibet is still a great choice.
Launched in Australia in 2012, Unibet is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - Often overlooked in Australia, Unibet is a great bookie.
14. LucasBet

LucasBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Can negotiate prices
✅ Family-owned bookie
✅ Top Fluc & BoB odds
✅ Starting Price Guarantee
❌ No sports options
❌ No futures betting
Quick Facts
- Website: lucasbet.com.au
- Apps: None
- Software: MyTrackPrice
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc, Best of the Best, Starting Price, Exotics
On-Track Service with Online Flexibility
Luke Lucas (yes, we know) comes from one of Sydney's most well-respected bookmaking families with the Lucas name dominating the Sydney betting rings since 1949.
Like some of the other old-fashioned rails bookmakers (DaveBet, LynchBet, Pendlebury Bet etc.) who have now opened an online betting site, LucasBet focuses on quality service, low margins, and no frills.
This means you'll get BoB odds on both weekend and mid-week races, Top Fluc, and generous fixed odds prices but not too much more i.e. no early markets, speedmaps, form, or even sports betting.
Launched in 2018, LucasBet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - If you bet on fixed odds Aussie races, LucasBet is ideal.
15. DaveBet

DaveBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Accepts all bettors
✅ BoB on Wed/Sat Metros
✅ Can request instant withdrawals
✅ Very low margin
❌ No sports markets
❌ Not open in the evenings
Quick Facts
- Website: davebet.com.au
- Apps: None
- Software: MyTrackPrice
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc, Best of the Best, Starting Price, Exotics
Generous Rails Bookmaker Now Online
David Dwyer, a former teacher and 20+ year NSW on-course bookmaking legend launched DaveBet in 2022, which was actually an upgraded version of his previous site David Dwyer Bookmaking which went online back in 2020.
Ignoring the history, today DaveBet is one of the few truly honest bookmakers that will give both pro punters and rookies the same limits, options, and offers. This includes BoB odds on NSW and metro meets, as well as Top Fluc for gallops and low-margin fixed odds for all three Aussie racing codes.
It should be noted that DaveBet doesn't have sports betting yet (NRL markets are coming soon), and lacks virtually all the features that have made the likes of Sportsbet popular with mug punters. However, DaveBet will process withdrawals instantly on request, and will generally just give you great service.
Launched in 2022, DaveBet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - If you're an experienced racing punter, you'll love DaveBet.
16. LynchBet

LynchBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Doesn't limit winners
✅ Negotiate prices/promos
✅ 30 mins or less for withdrawals
✅ Director of NSW Bookmaker Co-Op
❌ No sports betting
❌ Phone support from 9am to 6pm
Quick Facts
- Website: lynchbet.com.au
- Apps: None
- Software: MyTrackPrice
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc, Starting Price, Exotics
Personal Bookie, Ultra-Competitive Racing Product
Just like DaveBet and Pendlebury Bet, LynchBet is the online version of the long-running on-course bookmaking service offered by Grant Lynch.
With this comes 20+ years of experience, lower fixed odds margins than the corporates, products like Top Fluc and best Tote + SP, and personal service that includes being able to negotiate your own prices/promos with the Grant and his small, family-run operation.
LynchBet has the benefit of being open longer than other MyTrackPrice bookmakers (closes at midnight), but still has the disadvantages of no sports betting, no features (eg. streaming or same race multis), and no apps.
Launched in 2020, LynchBet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - If you want old-fashioned service and very competitive racing prices, give LynchBet a geez.
17. Pendlebury Bet

Pendlebury Bet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Unbeatable fixed odds
✅ Starting Price Guarantee
✅ Excellent customer service
✅ Long-standing on-track bookie
❌ No apps
❌ No sports, few intl races
Quick Facts
- Website: pendleburybet.com.au
- Apps: None
- Software: MyTrackPrice
- Features: None
- Racing Products: Fixed, Starting Price Guarantee, Best Tote, Best Tote + SPG, Top Fluc, Exotics
Very Small, Very Good Fixed Odds
The online branch of Jeff Pendlebury's Sydney-based bookmaking operation can be found at Pendlebury Bet.
With no sports betting options, betting apps, an outdated design, few payment options, and basically no extra features it would be easy to ignore Pendlebury Bet, however, with fixed odds racing prices that consistently beat those offered by almost all betting sites in Australia, we can't.
So, if you choose to use Pendlebury Bet know that you forgo the smooth, modern experience expected from an online bookmaker today but you gain an old-school bookmaker-client relationship with Sydney's longest-serving and most competitive racing bookie.
Launched in 2020, Pendlebury Bet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - If you want to support the little guy, start using Pendlebury Bet.
18. ReadyBet

ReadyBet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Won't ban winners
✅ Free pro racing tips
✅ Unique odds, low margins

A Bookie by Punters, for Punters
Despite using the well-worn BetMakers software to bring their bookmaking service online, cousins Mark Rhoden and Cameron O'Brien have still managed to create a unique product at ReadyBet.
How?
ReadyBet doesn't limit winning punters. And, O'Brien (a pro punter for the last 15 years) shares expert tips and analysis for Australian and NZ races. Normally you need to pay a premium for this kind of content online.
Otherwise, ReadyBet is a classic on-course bookmaker gone online. 5,000+ races every week, 10+ different sporting codes, speedmaps, best tote odds, a couple of different payment options, and decent betting apps.
Launched in 2022, ReadyBet is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - To bet against pro punters, with their tips, pick ReadyBet.
19. Swiftbet

Swiftbet Australia
Pros and Cons
✅ Small, responsible, service-orientated
✅ New in 2022, growing fast
✅ Top Fluc & Best Tote odds
❌ Boring BetMakers design
❌ Lacking unique markets & features
Quick Facts
- Website: swiftbet.com.au
- Apps: iOS, Android
- Software: BetMakers
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Speedmaps, Live Streaming, Protest Payout
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best of 3 Totes, Top Fluc, Exotics
Dependable New Racing Bookmaker
One of a series of new, racing-focused, BetMakers betting sites launched in 2022, Swiftbet offers Aussie punters plenty of valuable markets including domestic and international racing and sports from 15+ different codes. This includes same game and race multi options, speedmaps, international racing streaming, and Best Tote and Top Fluc odds.
Aside from these selling points, Swiftbet is rather uninspiring. Knowledgeable and helpful customer service staff and the occasional well-priced fixed odds market stand out with Swiftbet although card, bank and POLi payment options are somewhat limiting.
All in all, Swiftbet is a good choice if you want something new, something Aussie-owned, or just a new opportunity to get a better price or an extra incentive to play.
Launched in 2022, Swiftbet is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - If you need a new racing betting site, take a look at Swiftbet.

✅ High max payout ($200,000)
❌ No FAQs or About Us
❌ No phone number

- Software: BetMakers
- Features: Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Speedmaps, Live Streaming, Tips, Protest Payout
- Racing Products: Fixed, Best of 3 Totes, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc, Exotics
Fast Withdrawal, Friendly Support
With the backing of well-known sweepstakes platform Swopstakes and run on the successful BetMakers software, GetSetBet has all the tools needed to offer Aussies a quality local alternative to the big-name bookmakers.
While GetSetBet is firmly positioned as a mid-tier betting site - offering 15 or so different sports betting codes, and all the local and international races you'd expect with both fixed and Best Tote prices but not much more, there are still some selling points worth noting.
One is the high maximum payout - $200,000, which is significantly more than other bookies of a similar size. Another is the support - most small betting sites in Australia pride themselves on their support but GetSetBet really shines with our experiences being nothing but positive when reaching out. And finally the payment processing - withdrawal requests are processed twice daily meaning you can often get your money the same day you request a withdrawal.
Launched in 2021, GetSetBet is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - If you're after fast payments and support, give GetSetBet a go.

RealBookie Australia

- Racing Products: Fixed, Best of 3 Totes, Best of the Best, Top Fluc, Exotics
Experienced with Market-Leading Odds
RealBookie is not the first betting site that we've claimed has great odds but the reality is that (when it comes to racing at least) a few different betting sites do offer the best fixed odds - depending on which horses you want to back of course.
RealBookie also offers Best of the Best odds, Top Fluc odds and their sports odds are better than most. Do know that RealBookie only offers odds on the most popular Australian, US, and European leagues like Aussie rules, rugby, basketball, tennis, soccer, ice hockey.
RealBookie is run by two Victorian bookmaking veterans - Mark Sampieri and Chris Lester - which shows when you consider that they offer a no-frills approach to betting but still with key features like free racing streaming, same game/race multis, daily price bumps, form guides, and a very helpful customer support team.
Launched in 2020, RealBookie is licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission - For great odds on most markets offered, create a RealBookie account.

Niched Bookie with Cult Following
Currently, there are six guys working at EliteBet, Daniel (the owner), David, Jeff, Nick, Beau, and Matt. Why is this important? Because it's not often that you know everyone behind a bookmaking operation enough to name them, but with EliteBet good old-fashioned customer service is their m.o.
That's won them a dedicated crowd of loyal punters, as have a couple of other features including their Hot Bets (pro tips), runner comments and previews, instant withdrawals via Osko, same game multis, and overall market-leading odds.
EliteBet's also got enough major sports markets to keep most players happy.
Do know that EliteBet's app is not on the Android store though, it's only on the App Store for iOS and has to be downloaded from the EliteBet website for Android.
Launched in 2012, EliteBet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - For superb service, pro tips & quality odds, check EliteBet out.

Country-Based Bookie with Great Service
Mark Johnston is keeping the family and country bookmaking business alive with his Bathurst-based online betting site Southern Cross Bet.
Employing, family and racing experts based in the country, Southern Cross Bet is a bookie that prides itself on providing a quality and personal service to Aussies betting on domestic racing and major sports markets.
While you won't find Top Fluc odds on Southern Cross Bet, their fixed odds are competitive, they have betting apps and they accept phone bets. So, overall Southern Cross Bet certainly isn't Australia's best online betting site but there's plenty to like if you're a more traditional racing-minded punter.
Launched in 2004, Southern Cross Bet is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - Southern Cross Bet is a great option if you want to support country racing.

One of Sydney's Most Respected Bookies
Shane Filipek started bookmaking at the Sydney rails back in 2003. Since then he's taken his PuntersPal brand online, added sports betting options, then esports and betting apps as recently as 2023. Today he offers a range of features and markets for thousands of bets every day of the year.
With BoB odds on every Metro Saturday race, plus fixed odds, Top Fluc, and Best Tote + SP odds the rest of the week, there's plenty of value to be found. PuntersPal has hundreds of international and future races year-round as well.
PuntersPal also offers Same Race Multis and Same Game Multis on soccer, rugby, and Aussie Rules events along with speedmaps and full form guides for racing. Unfortunately, the PuntersPal Android app isn't on the Play Store just yet, but, with live chat, phone and email support, and a comfortable number of deposit and withdrawal options including more obscure ones like cash and cheque this bookie doesn't lack in too many areas worth noting.
Launched in 2007, PuntersPal is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW - Create an account with PuntersPal if you want heaps of betting options from a local Aussie bookie.

Bet How You Want with Australia's Best Service
Perhaps Melbourne's biggest on-course bookmaker, Rod Cleary offers the same fantastic odds and service online via VicBet. While it's true that he doesn't do sports betting, and that the app is set for launch later in 2022, if you want to bet on racing then VicBet is one of your best choices.
VicBet offers Best Tote + SP, Best of the Best, and Top Fluc odds for every Australian gallop race plus Each Way, Head to Head, Exotic, and Special Betting markets like Odds vs Evens and Favourite vs Field. Better still, if something isn't available, you can just ask and they will add it.

Quality App & Aggressive Odds
There aren't too many Australian-owned bookmakers that can compete with the international bookies in all areas but Palmerbet is one of the sites that can.
Palmerbet's iPhone and Android apps are quality - they're fast, easy to download, and intuitive to use. Palmerbet offers Best Tote & Top Fluc odds for Aussie races and 100+ markets including props, same game multis, and specials for all the most popular local and world sports.
Palmerbet's odds can be pretty aggressive, especially for underdogs and outsiders, but like any betting site, they aren't always the best. We also like that Palmerbet's limits are higher and that their payments are quicker than most online betting sites. Palmerbet is subpar for live betting though.

Responsible Queensland-Based Bookie
A solid bookie with an experienced team of on-course bookies at the helm is beginning to sound like a familiar story with many of Australia's top small betting sites. That's because online bookmaking technology has gotten easier to implement and the Covid-19 pandemic forced us all online.
Still, CrossBet has its own advantages and disadvantages. They offer 24/7 support, live racing streaming, same game/race multis, betting apps, and all the sports and racing markets you'd expect from a local betting operator.
Improvements could be made with more payment options, niched sports markets, a more informative help section, and extra features like cash out and betting previews. However, CrossBet is still a responsible, locally-owned bookie who is gonna give you a safe betting experience.
Launched in 2020, CrossBet is licensed by the NT Racing Commission - For a responsible operator with responsive support and sharp odds, give CrossBet a go.

Modern Bookie with Experience
BoomBet may seem like a new betting site but it's actually Sportsbetting.com.au with a facelift. Sportsbetting.com.au rebranded in 2021 and has bought their renowned quality fixed odds offering to a modern website and mobile apps.
We're not saying BoomBet always has the best odds for every horse - but you can always expect some runners to have the best prices with this bookie. That goes for all three codes and includes Australian, New Zealand, and international races.
As a small betting site, BoomBet has limited payment options, sports markets, and no same game/race multis but they do offer helpful customer service, fast withdrawals, and popular products like Top Fluc and Best of the Best odds.
