Betting Tip: Essendon by 3

A cracking start to the weekend with the Goliath v Goliath Anzac Day rematch - which might have been the best game this year thus far.

Both teams play similar footy, and they have both been hot and cold of late. It is always a good hit out, and this Friday will be no different. The eyes will be on every umpiring decision, and Brad Scott will surely drill it into the Dons this week to keep their composure, and if they listen I think they’ll prevail. Plus, Jamie Elliot loves playing Essendon and he won’t be there to save the day.

Betting Tip: Gold Coast by 16

Kangaroos are still on the verge of disrupting some finals dreams, and are a very real chance of doing so to the Suns, in a game Gold Coast probably considered a lock.

However, I’m backing Suns to not drop the ball on this one. The incredible home prowess they keep showing continues to give hope they can beat anyone anywhere - which they can’t, but surely they’ll keep the Kangaroos at bay.

Norths advantage of a young and tough midfield will be meet their match with the hard nuts at Gold Coast, and both teams have their sharp shooters (King and Larkey). Should be a decent game, but backing the Suns.

It’s exciting with such a close 3-13, it makes most games a must-win. And although we sound like a broken record, this will be no exception.

Port have gone to sleep of late and only just snuck home a win against the relatively easy beat St Kilda last week, while the Dogs are in much better form, led by future Brownlow medalist The Bont.

Another rematch of a usually weapon of a game - the Easter Monday performance as abysmal from Hawthorn earlier in the year, but, neither team is the same as they were in April.

Although the Cats demolished Essendon on the weekend, the score did not reflect the result. They’ve been less than average of late, and Hawks are looking unstoppable.

Expecting a turn of events and Hawks to prevail this time.

The orange tsunami has fully receded so much lately that it’d be too small to even surf on.

The Blues on the other hand are in Premiership form and Patty Cripps showing why he is one of the best of the league.

It was a fun ride Giants, but backing the Blues to send Western Sydney to want to watch League again.

It’s barely worth doing a match preview on Richmond, as the only thing is predicting how much they will get flogged by, what player might step up but won’t, and how hilarious the whole situation is.

Freo are looking very strong lately and over in Perth this should be a percentage booster. Considering they recently flogged Richmond by 9 goals less than 2 months ago, I think this will be a similar result.

Fremantle to win comfortably and be happy with their draw.

Speaking of rides that were fun, this week will determine if the Eagles and more specifically Harley Reid, will show any type of entertainment to fans or just start preparing for next year.

The Dees are one I consider will drop out of the 8, so West Coast do stand some kind of a chance, but it’s not enough. Even with a continuous depleted side, Melbourne should get it done.

If the game was in Perth maybe not, but it isn’t.

Freo magnificently proved that even a god team can bleed last week - and at Sydney. It was always bound to happen, although I didn’t expect last week, but Sydney will be much more alert this week and will safely resume the mantle.

St Kilda have done nothing but make footy boring this year, and will be no threat to capitalise on Sydney while the chips are down.

Sydney to prove a point on why they are where they are on the ladder.
