JustBet Rating

Best of 3 Totes

JustBet releases their own fixed odds a few days prior to the race, and are generally competitive. However, if this doesn't do it for you, they also offer the best of 3 totes on every single Australian horse race.

Opening Specials

JustBet's main selling points are it's promos that they offer punters, mainly for racing, and a very strong for opening specials.

Same Game/Race Multis

As expected, JustBet offer the popular betting options of same race multis in all Australian horse racing, and some greyhounds and international meets. They also provide same game multis in popular sporting codes such as EPL and NBA.

Few Insights

JustBet does have the form guide and pre race flucs for all Aussie horse racing, but that is about all in the way of insights. They are missing speed maps, race overviews and tips, and there is nothing for sport.

Sport Needs Improving

While the offerings for sport and racing are generally the same as you'd expect at other bookies - the fact that the promos are racing skewed and they offer best of 3 totes for racing punters, we think more needs to be done for sport to get up to the same speed.

FiestaBet Rating

BetCloud Bookie Promos

FiestaBet is one of many bookmakers that launched on the BetCloud software this year, and like the others they have opening specials and interesting regular promos for their users.

Same Race Multis & Blended Bets

FiestaBet allows you to spice up your punting on the ponies by offering exotics, same race multis and blended bets on all Australian racing, and on some international meets.

Heaps of Same Game Multi Markets

FiestaBet offers same game multis in popular sports such as Basketball, Soccer, American Football etc. In the popular leagues, there are tonnes of markets to include in these same game multis, including 500+ for NBA.

Few Features or Insights

Although FiestaBet does have some racing insights for Australian racing - they are missing more in-depth stuff such as speed maps and even the form guide, which is a pain as we (and many other punters) like to do the research ourselves. There is also no live streaming.

Average Fixed Odds

FiestaBet's fixed racing odds are definitely nothing to write home about, and they only currently offer the middle tote to counteract this. Although there international racing odds are actually pretty decent.

TradieBET Rating

Best Tote + SP

TradieBET has ensured from the start, that even if you don't like their fixed odds on racing, you can always take the safe bet and get the best of the 3 national totes, or starting price, on every Aussie horse race.

Competitive Fixed Odds

Speaking of their fixed odds, at this stage we are very happy with what they are offering and it is often a better bet to go with their own fixed odds in racing, as they are very competitive and often higher than the tote.

Few Sporting Markets, High Odds

Although TradieBET offers 10+ sports, there are few markets in there and no stat markets in NBA or EPL just yet. However, they sports they offer, there head to head and line betting odds are as good as you'll come across.

Punterstech Platform

TradieBET is one of the few bookings on the new Punterstech bookmaking software platform, which started releasing brands in the back half of 2023. The software is very fast and impressive, with us and many punters praising the efficiency of the TradieBET site.

Lacking Features

While it's understandable a brand new bookie on a new platform has no features, it is worth noting this if you are one to get on with a bookie to use their live streaming and read tonnes of insights - you won't find it at TradieBET, at this stage.

JungleBet Rating

Same Game Multis

JungleBet doesn't have many sports, but does have same game multis available for many obscure leagues in the sports it does have - including 50+ markets for cricket one day internationals.

Plenty of International Sporting Markets

Furthermore, JungleBet has plenty of markets in international leagues such as the NFL, where there are 500+ markets in some games, and 50+ markets in the ANHL, for Ice Hockey fans.

Same Race Multi & Exotics

JungleBet have standard exotics that you'd expect, including exacta, quinella, trifecta and first four - but they also offer same race multis and blended bets for all Australian horse racing.

Fixed Odds & Middle Tote

JungleBet release their odds several days prior to a race, which is good early but they're not that great closer to the jump - but they do now offer the Middle Tote, so you'll have a better chance of a solid price.

20 Leg Multis

With the 1000s of different markets in international sports - you can add all these up with JungleBet and create a multi up to 20 legs! Unfortunately though, you cannot place several same game multis, into one big multi, at this stage.

PremiumBet Rating

PremiumBet offers decent safety type promos for their users, which is pretty evenly split for racing and sports. Usually a new bookie only provides some for racing, but PremiumBet seems to be happy enough giving out more then what is expected.

PremiumBet hasn't forgotten about the popular betting option of same game/race multi, offering it on all Aussie racing and on a wealth of sports including NBA, EPL, NHL and NFL.

Combine Same Game Multis

Bet66 offers same game multis in a wealth of sports, including NFL, NBA and EPL. On top of this, Bet66 allows you to combine individual same game multis into one mega multi, to really enhance those odds.

Bet66 provide their own competitive racing odds a few days prior to the jump, but also give you the option for the top price out of the three national totes.

Daily Fast Withdrawals

Live Streaming

Lacking Obscure Markets

Bet66 is a real, bet on what's in front of you, type of a bookie. There is no futures betting, or novelty markets like betting on Married at First Sight. Also, the sports book could use some work as it doesn't feature volleyball, table tennis or anything like that.

BetEstate gives all punters daily specials, mostly focused on racing but also throws in some sports specials, for popular sporting codes in Australia.

Like half the bookmakers in Australia, BetEstate uses ASX Listed BetMakers, which provides them with sturdy reliable websites and apps that are quick to use and with little lag time.

Racing Insights

BetEstate has plenty of insights on racing, specifically Aussie horses but also the dogs and some international - including form guide, speed maps, race overview and more.

Same Game Multis

BetEstate offers same game multis on AFL, NBA, NRL, EPL and plenty more. The odds are pretty standard, but they have decent stat markets, such as steals, assists, rebounds etc in NBA.

No Futures

At this stage, BetEstate does not offer and future betting on any long anticipated races. For example, there are no Melbourne Cup odds, or on sporting events such as betting on the Brownlow.

BetRoyale Rating

Easy to Read Racing Insights

BetRoyale provides punters with easy to read racing insights, with quick notes like "Best Rated" or "Consistent Performer" - with blurbs for what each insight means. E.g. Consistent Performer (12 Top 3 finishes from 14 starts).

Many International Sporting Leagues

With only a selection of 10+ sports, BetRoyale has a big selection of leagues to bet on - with around 100 different basketball leagues and around 150 different soccer leagues to bet on.

International Racing

BetRoyale is average for racing in Australia, but pretty solid for international meets, with quite good odds in countries such as Ireland, USA and UK. They also provide the pre racing fluctuations for these races.

First Past The Post

Like many other bookies, BetRoyale will look after you if your horse wins the race, but is then deregulated due to a protest - essentially paying out on two runners in some races.

Fixed Odds & Tote

BetRoyale have their own fixed odds that they release a few days prior to the jump, but have now implemented tote betting also. We haven't come across any tote products like Best of the Best or Top Fluc yet, but are waiting for it.

Golden Rush Rating

Great Odds For Sport

Golden Rush only has 10+ sports, but they have a huge amount of obscure markets in these sports (e.g. Soccer), where they have very competitive odds in some of these leagues. Which is great if you have a betting niche.

20 Leg Multi Builder

Golden Rush has an efficient multi builder of up to 20 legs, that has no lag time when selecting between events. Although the sporting odds are quite decent, be weary that their maximum multi payout is $40k.

Flexible Handicap & Over/Unders

Golden Rush allows you to choose a broad selection of handicap and over/under markets in sports, to play a really safe side to a multi. While these are nothing new, many betting sites have only a small range of handicap markets to choose from, to avoid people using these as 1.10 "multi builders".

Plenty of Soccer, No AFL

Golden Rush has a huge amount of Soccer leagues to bet on (140+), and also a decent amount of European leagues for Ice Hockey - they don't at this stage have markets for Australia's favourite sport (AFL).

Better For Sport

Although they cover all Aussie racing and some international meets, Golden Rush does not provide tote betting or racing features such as live streaming or tips. Not that it has these for sports, the multi builder, decent sports odds and flexible handicaps makes it a much better option for sports bettors.

Chasebet Rating

Greyhounds Specialists

Prior to launching in September 2023, Chasebet have made it no secret their ambitions to be the best betting option for the dogs in Australia. With Allan Hilzinger (Former CEO of NSW Greyhound Breeders Owners & Trainers Association) at the helm inspired some confidence, Chasebet have so far lived up to their word and have consistent top offerings and specials for the dishlickers.

"Trending Bets"

With little context on their website about this, Chasebet offer "Trending Bets" - which we presume are popular bets of the day amongst other punters, which aren't necessarily dead favourites that the market has swayed down.

Country Greyhounds & Promos

Chasebet are the only bookie to provide online markets for some of NSW Country greyhound meetings. Chasebet also have solid greyhound focused promos, which is unusual and a point of differentiation compared to other bookies.

Racing Features & Insights

As a BetMakers brand, Chasebet has plenty of racing insights and features including, live streaming, tips, form, speed maps and flucs. They are however, missing a black book and alert reminders for races.

Sportsbook Needs Work

While Chasebet offers same game multis and a solid sports book of 15+ sports - they do not offer many obscure sports (such as handball or Esports), nor do they offer any entertainment or novelty bets (disappointing for those of us that get roped into watching The Bachelor).

Sterling Parker Rating

Growing Sportsbook

Sterling Parkers features 12+ sports that is growing as its software provider continues to expand. Although there are no same game multis or stat markets (besides Tennis), all team sports have markets on handicap, over/under, 1st and 2nd half, and much more - even in the dregs of the 140+ soccer leagues that they cover.

Responsive Website

Sterling Parker has a fast and easy-to-navigate website that has little lag time, which is reliable and easy to place a bet. This plus the underwhelming amount of markets, makes it a decent option for beginners.

First Past The Post

If your horse wins the race but loses in a protest, Sterling Parker will pay out both runners as winners on fixed Australian and New Zealand thoroughbreds and harness racing win bets.

Updating Regularly

We first reviewed Sterling Parker in September 2023, two short months later they had already improved their game and added same game multis and more sporting markets. We anticipate more growth in the future.

Now Has Tote Betting

Again, Sterling Parker has increased its betting markets and now offers Middle Tote for punters who don't want to use their fixed odds.

HavaBet Rating

Top Fluc & Best Tote + SP

Although HavaBet already has competitive fixed odds on Australian racing that comes out a few days prior to the race - they further offer Top Fluc and Best Tote + SP on every single Australian horse race, so you're spoilt for choice for getting good odds.

15% Boosts

While nearly every single bookmaker will offer a certain amount of boosts- HavaBet boast that they offer more than most, and are more generous with theirs, by offering up to 15%.

Daily Withdrawals 9am-9pm

HavaBet provide daily withdrawals (including weekends), and constantly have staff doing it between 9 and 9, and use Osko instant withdrawals - so you'll always get your winnings fast.

Lacking Sports Markets

HavaBet is much better for racing, and although it offers over 12 sports - the markets for these are pretty thin, with few stat and match outcome markets in team sports, and few games offering same game multi.

Few Features

While HavaBet does good odds and fast payment - it is still a basic betting site and is missing features such as live streaming, insights, tips and black book. Still in their infancy stage, hopefully we can see some of these fun extras added soon.

Lets Bet Rating

Best Tote + SP & Top Fluc

Lets Bet have solid enough racing odds - however, they further offer the best tote + SP, or, Top Fluc, on every horse race in Australia, so you nearly always have the opportunity for the best odds.

Same Game/Race Multis

Lets Bet offer punters same race multis on Australian racing, and also same game multis on popular sports such as AFL and NRL. The best part though, is their same game multi odds are way superior than any other brands, when selecting same team outcomes.

Responsive Support

With a team of experienced bookmakers behind it, Lets Bet takes pride in excellent customer service that they know punters come to expect, including fast withdrawals during business hours.

Best of the Best

Lets Bet also provide Best of the Best odds on select races, including all Saturday metro races in Melbourne and Sydney.

Lack of Features

The major downfall for Lets Bet is its lack of features. There is currently only the form available on select races, and there are no speed maps, racing insights or live streaming. There are also no sporting insights whatsoever.

JuicyBet Rating

20 Leg Multi Builder

JuicyBet's multi builder allows up to 20 legs from different sporting or racing events, with markets including head to head, handicap, over/under's and much more. Same game/race multis however, are not available.

Competitive Odds

While JuicyBet does not provide tote betting, their racing odds are generally not too bad and come out a few days prior - but they're sporting odds are much more competitive, and more often are superior in the more obscure leagues than the Sportsbet's of the world.

Good For International Sports

JuicyBet has a few domestic sporting options, including no AFL - however they do have a solid sports book for international leagues, including Major League Baseball, NBA, NFL and tonnes of international Soccer leagues.

Few Racing Insights or Features

Unlike many other betting sites, JuicyBet does not provide any tipping, form guide, speed maps, flucs or live streaming. They have recently added some racing insights.

Responsive Support

Although JuicyBet don't have a support phone number, their live chat generally responds within a few minutes at any time during the day (e.g we tested this at 10:00pm AEST on a Tuesday).

BetProfessor Rating

Protest Payout

BetProfessor offers Protest Payout, where if your runner is first past the post, but loses after a protest- BetProfessor will still pay you out as a winner.

Growing Sports, 80+ Soccer Leagues

While BetProfessor's sports book doesn't compete with some betting sites - it must be noted that it has been growing with the BetCloud capabilities, and they do offer a huge selection of local soccer leagues to bet on throughout the world.

Early Racing Odds

BetProfessor releases its racing odds a few days prior to the event, and the fixed odds aren't the best, but quite often you can find a good price on a runner before the market has swayed the price.

Few Racing Features

The site and graphics look flash, however, BetProfessor does not offer many racing or sporting features, such as live streaming, tips, or even form. However, they have recently added some racing insights.

Blended Bets

BetProfessor gives punters the opportunity to place blended bets, in case you can't choose between two runners in one race, you can select them both (or more).

BookiePrice Rating

Collection of Bookmakers

BookiePrice is unique in that it is not an actual betting site, but a platform where bookmakers can log on and take bets on races as they please. By using BookiePrice, you are supporting the very small bookmakers across the country.

High Fixed Odds

BookiePrice allows the bookies to offer high odds as they would on the course, but as you are betting against many bookies, they have less liability, so they're happy to provide larger odds. The odds are calculated on the upper end of what the majority of bookies are willing to offer.

Very Incomplete

The BookiePrice website is very much a work in progress, and is still testing different blocks. However, it is still usable at this stage on most Aussie horse racing.

No Sports

Although the site is still incomplete, it has not been designed for sports at this stage, and will focus on the bookies offering races in Australia, and some international only.

No Features

Another downside of BookiePrice's final product, is that it will likely not be going in the way of features such as live streaming, tips or speed maps - and just as a platform for bookies to provide odds.

VolcanoBet Rating

Early Released odds

With no tote betting, VolcanoBet have their own odds for racing which they release several days out prior to the jump. This means, you can often get decent odds before the tote betting influences the favourites.

Responsive Software

VolcanoBet is on the BetCloud software, which is one of the fastest betting platforms in Australia, with little lag and the apps are less clunky then some of the other providers and VolcanoBet is no exception, very easy to use.

20 Leg Multis

VolcanoBet has an efficient multi builder that can build a multi up to 20 legs. Unlike other sites, it does not get slow and laggy when adding the 15-20 legs onto your bet. Perfect if you can already tip 9 in the AFL each week.

10+ Sports List

Although VolcanoBet's sports book is growing, it only covers popular sports at the moment like AFL, NRL, Basketball etc - and does not provide deep stat markets for these sports.

Few Tote Products

Although VolcanoBet recently integrated tote betting into their site in October 2023, they still either don't offer, or way too infrequently, punters with top tote products such as Top Fluc or Best Tote + SP.

PuntGenie Rating

Reliable Platform

PuntGenie launched in June 2023 on the reliable BetCloud betting software, that offers a fast experience with little to no lag time, or delay, on their betting site - which avoids missing out on placing a bet in the dying seconds.

High Fixed Odds

Like other BetCloud operators, PuntGenie only offers Middle Tote, but has decent fixed odds in racing and sport which are released early - so you are able to snag a decent price on an early bet.

Growing Sports List

PuntGenie offers a growing list of sports including AFL, NRL, NBA, Soccer and Darts. This list has almost doubled in two months from other BetCloud providers, so we are expecting the markets and more obscure sports options to continue to grow

Large Multi Builder

PuntGenie offers multis of up to 20 legs across its sports and racing offerings. The multi builder is efficient and seamless, and some sports have a tonne of markets, such as goals, passes, headers in Soccer.

Lack of Features

Although PuntGenie is a sharp and fast looking website, it is missing features you would get elsewhere such as live streaming, speed maps, form guide and expert insights for sports. Again, as PuntGenie is growing fast, we expect them to add these features soon.

PuntNow Rating

100% Aussie Owned Bookie

PuntNow launched in May 2022 offering all Aussie racing, with a decent amount of international meets, and also a solid sports book for a just launched bookmaker, with over 15 sports to bet on. Best part is, PuntNow is 100% Australian owned and operated.

Top Tote Every Race

PuntNow offers decent odds on its racing and sport offerings, but also offers the top tote on every horse race in Australia, so you will always get a good price on gallops. Best of the Best and Top Fluc are also available on selected races.

Same Game/Race Multis

PuntNow offers same race multis and quaddies on selected racing events, and without discriminating against the sports lovers - same game multis are available on popular codes (AFL, NRL) and with plans to add more sports for same game multi soon.

Racing Specials

Although we are not able to tell you what PuntNow will offer, we can confirm they are a racing focused bookmaker that offers promotions for their members.

Few Features

Although PuntNow offers a few racing features including form guide and pre post flucs, PuntNow is missing features that you can get at other brands including black book, live streaming and speed maps.

QuestBet Rating

BetCloud Software

The new BetCloud platform is pumping out the new bookmakers. We've been watching closely, to see that with more brands and users the sites become slow or clunky, but so far they haven't skipped a beat and QuestBet is no exception, offering a seamless experience for placing a bet.

Multi Builder

QuestBet has an efficient multi builder of up to 20 legs across all Aussie racing and a handful of sports including NRL, NBA and EPL (not AFL). The markets are limited in the sports offered with no player stats to bet on, but the odds are higher than the industry average.

Flexible Handicap Betting

Although QuestBet offers few markets in sporting matches, they do provide flexible betting on handicaps and over/under total points scored - which is a safer option for punters.

Now Has Tote Betting

QuestBet now offers tote betting, however we are yet to see top products like Best of the Best, Top Fluc or Best Tote + SP. They only have the Middle Tote, or their own fixed odds. Which aren't awesome.

Missing Features

Like the other BetCloud sites, QuestBet is missing popular features like live streaming, speed map, form guide and other extras that enhance the betting experience. It's not all doom and gloom, BetCloud is continually upgrading their platform and operators including QuestBet, should have these features soon.

Thunderbet Rating

Veteran Bookmakers

Thunderbet is the product of great mates and long standing bookies, John Patton and Andrew Price. The pair have been involved in bookmaking their entire lives, as Patton's father (Tom Patton) was a well-respected bookie servicing NSW for over 55 years.

Racing Insights

Thunderbet provide extensive racing insights across three codes, and not just thoroughbreds. This includes, full form guide, flucs, and speed maps for all Aussie racing and some international meets. Thunderbet further provides tips for Aussie gallops.

Live Streaming & SGM

Thunderbet offers features that enhance your betting experience, such as "Thunderbet TV" - their live streaming racing channel. Thunderbet also offers popular betting features same race multi, and same game multis in popular sports such as AFL, NRL and EPL.

Better For Racing

Like many on-course bookies that have gone online, Thunderbet are better focused for racing, with better promos, more betting options and insights for racing only. There is still 15+ sports to bet on and same game multis - however, Thunderbet could improve their sports offerings.

Country Feel, Corporate Look

Although Thunderbet is a modest country bookie, headquartered in Wagga Wagga, you'd be forgiven for thinking they are a corporate brand. With their flash features and top promos, you can enjoy all the corporate perks, while supporting a local country bookie.

BetGalaxy Rating

New Fast Website

BetGalaxy has a sharp new website that launched in 2023. Utilising the new BetCloud software, BetGalaxy has a fast performing site when navigating between sports and races, with no lag time or freezes when placing a bet on at that dire moment - or ever! The website looks ready to accommodate more markets and features than it currently provides.

Decent Racing Odds

The odds provided by BetGalaxy for racing are fixed, and have recently added Tote options also (but so far only Middle Tote). While this may hurt for some, you'll be happy to know BetGalaxy's odds are some of the highest and come out early - up to 3 days prior to the race for some meets.

Competitive Sporting Odds

BetGalaxy do not offer many sports at this stage, only AFL, Rugby League, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis and Soccer. But for the few games they provide odds for, we found their odds consistently higher than the likes of Sportsbet.

Few Features

One of the features BetGalaxy provides is multis, up to 20 legs. While this works great with their high odds and fast website, it would be great to see more betting options included soon like same game multi and quaddies. There are also no punter assistance features like tips, form guide or speed map.

Responsive Support

BetGalaxy only has the option for live chat (or email from their chat) with their customer support, but it is very responsive. You normally receive a response within minutes (8am-10pm we've noticed) and there is none of the annoying talking to a robot for 15 minutes before they get a human.

WellBet Rating

Great For Beginners

WellBet is another new betting site in 2023 that is optimised with the BetCloud software and is also a member of the Victorian Bookmakers Association. WellBet is a user-friendly site that is easy on the eyes and fast performing. There are few markets to bet on including all Australian racing and popular sporting codes - AFL, NRL, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball and Cricket. The simplicity of the website and lack of markets make it easy for even the least tech savvy to get a bet on.

Competitive Odds (Racing & Sport)

The few markets that WellBet provide, they do it properly and offer superior odds to most other betting sites that we review. This is uncommon for a new betting site competing with the more well-established household name brands.

Lack Of Betting Options

Although the odds are good, WellBet currently offers few markets on their betting offerings. There are no player markets to bet on in sporting matches including no goal markets, no same game multi and no quaddies in racing.

No Racing Extras

The WellBet website is flash, but it is missing the extra features that we have become accustomed to. Including, live streaming, speed map, tips, race overview, yard comments and form guide. WellBet only use their fixed odds, and only offer Middle Tote, with no Best of the Best or Top Fluc (as of yet).

Constantly Improving

There is still plenty to like from WellBet and as they are constantly growing, we will see more markets and racing features soon. The website/app is fast and well-equipped for more applications and markets that they are working hard to bring punters soon.

Betr provides extensive sporting insights on popular games to help give you an edge, including - verified expert punter insights, player insights (how players have performed lately and against the team they are playing), betting trends and their price fluctuation since the market opened, live ladder and more.

Top Promos

Betr launched with some outrageous odds on certain races and matches which quickly caught the attention of all punters. While they obviously can't keep up the ridiculous initial offerings, they still have their foot on the gas and continue to give their customers the best promos in the country.

Racing Features

While betr is missing some racing features including live streaming and black book, they have plenty of in-depth racing insights to help inform punters, including short form, punters tips speed map and race overview on all Aussie thoroughbreds.
