Launching in August 2023, Lets Bet is a breath of fresh air from other recently released and crazy themed bookies, and focuses its resources more on what the traditional Aussie punter wants - Top odds in Aussie sport, and Aussie racing.

Even though their racing odds are competitive, Lets Bet offers Top Fluc and Best Tote + SP on all Aussie horse racing, and also Best of the Best on selected meets across Australia, including all Saturday metro meets in Sydney & Melbourne.

Lets Bet definitely doesn't have the biggest sporting list to bet from, they do however, provide same game multis for AFL and NRL, where their multiplier adds up like a regular multi (and not whatever stingy algorithm Sportsbet uses).

Lets Bet is missing additional features such as live streaming, and they could add more racing insights. The Lets's Bet app is avilable on the iOS Store for Apple and through an apk download from the Let's Bet website for Android.

BetEstate, launched in late 2023, provides solid betting services with helpful RaceLab tips, including rankings, speed maps, and selections for each race. While they offer good promotions and a variety of sports markets, their racing odds are only available on race day, limiting early betting opportunities. The platform’s other biggest drawbacks are its bland, outdated website and app design, and the lack of live betting or future markets.

HavaBet came to us in August 2023, along with a bunch of other bookmakers launching at this time. Although, with some heavyweight on-course bookies behind it - HavaBet seems to be the pick of the litter and offers punters Top Fluc and Best Tote + SP on every horse race in Australia.

Furthermore, HavaBet has near instant withdrawals, as they process withdrawals every day between 9am-9pm. So unless you're betting at midnight, you'll usually get paid within a few hours.

TradieBet launched in 2023 using the Punterstech software. There are plenty of positives with TradieBet and they rank as one of the best bookmakers in Australia, ticking off almost every box required for a good punting experience.

The TradieBet app is easy to use, fast, and glitch-free. It is one of the better operating apps on the market. TradieBet promotes Responsible Gambling and really looks after their customers with exceptional customer service as well as fast withdrawals that occur four times daily. This is one of the better withdrawal systems offered by a bookmaker out there.

BetLocal is a solid, modern bookmaker run on the ASX-listed BetMakers betting software. After a pretty quiet mid-year launch in 2024, they've earned a small but respectable following from punters who especially appreciate the hands-on service provided and leniency for winning players who would otherwise get banned much faster at bigger corporate bookmakers.

BetLocal's got same game/race multis, protest payouts, member promos and all the markets you'd expect including stat markets like marks and tackles for the AFL. They're a better racing bookie though with fixed odds for all domestic and most international races, along with top tote on Aussie gallops. Super Shano's Specials also offer weekly value bets which we've also enjoyed taking advantage of.

Overall, like most other small bookies, it's hard for BetLocal to compete with the sheer number of features and markets on offer at the likes of Bet365 and Ladbrokes but they're offering their punters a quality betting experience, especially for players who want to keep their bets in the hands of an Aussie-owned compnay.

Launching in 2023, PremiumBet is the new online arm from long-standing rails bookmaker Frank Hudson, who has been in the game for 35+ years and has brought his expertise onto the net with extensive racing insights and tips.

While it may look like any other BetMakers brand - PremiumBet differs itself from the competition by offering some pretty decent, and relatively unique, promos in both sports and racing for popular events.

PremiumBet has a pretty decent sports book of a dozen plus sports, with SGM in popular ones - however, they don't offer any sporting insights or futures betting in any sporting league.

Bet66 launched in Spring 2023 on the BetMakers platform. While the betting site seems to be named after an old and unused American road - the site itself is very slick and fit for use, with fresh features such as live streaming, same game multis and plenty of racing insights.

Bet66 provide daily racing bumps on their own competitive fixed racing odds, and to save any doubt, they further offer the top tote on all Australian horse racing.

Although Bet66 gives you the option to combine same game multis to really balloon your odds, the site is much better for racing and offers few sports promos, not really any obscure sports and no futures.

Launching in May 2023, PuntNow is a racing focused betting site that offers top racing promos, opening specials, and the top tote on all Australian gallops - making it a haven for racing enthusiast punters.

PuntNow still offers a decent sports selection with 15+ different sports to bet on, and same game multis available in popular leagues such as AFL, NRL, NBA & EPL.

Outside of decent betting options, PuntNow does not offer any extra features (besides form guide on Aussie horses). There are no speed maps, insights, tips or live streaming that other corporate bookies offer.

WinnersBet may not have the fanciness and features of some of Australia's biggest corporate bookmakers but when it comes to no-nonsense betting with high odds and a simple betting platform, WinnersBet takes the cake. Gavin and Tracey Mansour enter the online bookmaking game with ChromaBet, built on the BetCloud betting software and launched on October 31st. ChromaBet brings a modern look and functionality to the table along with a number of features we've become accustomed to from BetCloud bookies like same game/race multis, Best Tote odds, cash out, runner info and deep sports and racing markets.

ChromaBet's certainly not as impressive as betting sites like Bet365 for its breadth of markets, nor Bet Right for its unique markets, or even Dabble for its unique copy bet and banter functionality. It's a lot like the other brands we've seen on that platform but with a new theme and the same quality offering. We'd love something more unique from BuffaloBet, but we have seen many improvements in BetCloud bookies since their first site (BetGalaxy) launched back in 2023 so believe they're on their way. Unsurprisingly, SugarCastle uses the BetCloud software Lyndon was instrumental in bringing to our screens. This means good racing fixed odds, member promos (use code MBS100), and extensive same game multi and stat markets. It also means no Best Tote odds and limited futures options.

Overall, SugarCastle is much the same as the rest of Australia's BetCloud betting sites, so definitely worth checking out but unlikely to become your preferred betting site for years to come.

Launched in September 2023, Golden Rush is a new betting site that aims to offer punters the chance for their own “Eureka” moment, by offering competitive odds for racing and sport.

Sterling Parker launched in August 2023 on the BetCloud software. Sterling Parker has a solid and growing list of 10+ sports, with decent stat markets in Grand Slam tennis. Sterling Parker now have same game multis, and you can combine up to 20 legs on their multi builder.

Sterling Parker has competitive fixed racing odds, and offers racing exotics including exacta, quinella, trifecta and first four. They do have solid promos, however you will not find any flash features such as live streaming, insights or even form guide.

BetProfessor launched in 2023 and is another BetCloud powered bookmaker that is worth signing up with. You can expect both the website and app to be sharp, fast, and user-friendly with no fuss.

Racing odds provided by BetProfessor have come a long way since their inception and they remain competitive in most markets. Withdrawal process times are solid and they can be cancelled if they haven’t been processed. Offers are decent and punters that show loyalty to BetProfessor get rewarded. Customer service is very fast to reply and available 24/7. They have recently introduced Quaddies, Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, and Blended Bets. BetProfessor also does Protest Payout for Australian races.

Much like the other BetCloud Bookmakers, there are no tips or live streaming and the racing analysis is basic and will include a short comment on the occasional runner. Their website design is also a bit whacky.

One upside with BetProfessor compared to most other BetCloud Bookmakers is that their odds tend to go live earlier than most. So if you are keen on taking early prices or want to lather some bets on for the weekend meetings during the week, you can do this with BetProfessor. BetProfessor also promotes responsible gambling and has a page in their quick links dedicated to Responsible Gambling Tools, something you don't see enough with modern bookmakers.

With plenty of positives, BetProfessor receives a rating of 4/5 and is certainly worth signing up with.

VolcanoBet erupted onto the scene in July 2023 and not much separates them from other BetCloud bookmakers.

Expect the typical flashy-looking graphics that are eye-catching and appealing. You can also expect a fast, user-friendly, and glitch-free app and website that is easy to use with minimal fuss. Offers aren’t anything crazy but are unique and loyal punters are rewarded. Customer service is 24/7 and very fast to reply. Racing odds are available in decent time and markets open earlier than a lot of other bookmakers. VolcanoBet has recently made Quaddies available and introduced Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Protest Payout on fixed odds for Australian Racing, and Blended Bets where you can back multiple runners for an outcome. For example, if you can’t decide between two runners you can back them both and it will blend your stake for a specific return.

Deposit options are very restricted with VolcanoBet (you can only use credit/debit card). The racing analysis is typical of bookmakers who use the BetCloud software, with very short comments on occasional runners and no tips. VolcanoBet does not offer live streaming and it is a guessing game as to whether fixed odds are or aren’t available on certain races when using the app/website. This is frustrating as a punter and something you shouldn’t have to go through. You will find you have to click into a specific race to see if fixed odds are live yet or not.

Overall VolcanoBet gets a decent rating of 4/5. They tick enough boxes to join up with and while you aren’t getting much of a different experience from any other BetCloud bookmaker, that experience is still worth getting involved with.

Their odds were drastically short in comparison to major bookmakers in previous years but they have stepped it up big time recently and often beat the odds that other major bookies have on offer. Overall, they nail the colour scheme, keep things simple, and generally operate with no fuss. 4/5 stars.

WellBet provides markets on races only a few days out, and the limited sporting games they offer are for the current round, no futures betting. WellBet is also missing betting options like Same Game/Race Multi.

BetGalaxy is an “out of this world” betting experience - localised entirely in Australian racing and sport, with a few popular international sporting leagues (EPL, NBA, World Test Series).

BetGalaxy offers few markets in their limited matches and races, but the odds are consistently high across their offerings, and their multi builder is fast and efficient for up to 20 legs.

Make no mistake, Old Gill is great if you're looking for a new betting account but they won't be many punters' first choice since they still lack many smaller sports, features like live streaming and a variety of ways to pay.

FiestaBet joined the bookmaking party in November 2023, giving Aussies a decent hit at the punting Piñata which is chock-a-block filled with extensive same game multi markets in sports including NFL and NHL, and also solid opening specials.

There's plenty for racing punters to enjoy on the growing FiestaBet platform, with racing insights, tote betting, and blended bets available for every Australian race (horses, trots, and dogs).

Juicybet launched in 2023 on the BetCloud software with local Vic bookie Brendan Cleary at the helm. What sets them apart from other bookmakers is their juicy odds. Expect some of the highest fixed odds prices on offer in Australia and certainly odds that surpass other BetCloud-based bookmakers.

For example, on one particular dog race, they had the favourite paying fixed odds of $1.48, the second market elect at $6.00, and the third market elect at $8.50. On BetProfessor and PuntGenie these same runners were $1.38, $5.00, and $7.25. JuicyBet had significantly better odds on offer and they also didn’t compensate for it elsewhere in the race with reduced odds on other runners. Every single runner paid a higher fixed price than what BetProfessor and PuntGenie offered. And it wasn’t just for this race, but almost all races.

If you are after a fast and easy-to-use app and some of the best odds on offer in Australia then JuicyBet is a great choice, especially if you are not heavily promotion-driven or reliant on racing stats/analysis. They get a tick above other BetCloud bookmakers and a very strong 4.5/5 star rating.

BetRoyale launched in 2023 and was one of the earlier BetCloud bookmakers to join the market. While they aren’t the worst bookmaker out there, BetRoyale doesn't rank highly and landed a 3/5 star rating with us.

BetRoyale has no live streaming, no tips, no racing back promotions, and very thin racing analysis. Racing odds are also below par and not good enough. BetRoyale odds are often trumped by 30-40 cents on favourites compared to JuicyBet and other bookmakers. The sports market is also very thin.

BetRoyale does have its positives. The sign up process is very fast. Offers are solid enough and loyalty is rewarded for punters who continue to use the service. Customer service is 24/7, fast to reply and accurate. The app is fast and slick although I found it a bit hard to see at times with the dark blue and yellow colour scheme.

Responsible Gambling gets a mention, both advertised on the home screen banner on the home page and under a designated link. Some positive new features to BetRoyale include Best Tote, Quaddies, Same Game Multis, Same Race Multis, Protest Payout and Mystery Bets.

JungleBet have plenty of international racing offers, and offers easy to read insights and flucs for Aussie racing. There are no tote products like Best of the Best, and the odds generally aren't the best for racing.

Although JungleBet seems to be one of the better brands to launch in Spring 2023, we've found their support to be as fast as the sloth they have painted on their bet slip.
