Betting Tip: St Kilda by 24

A battle of a couple of B-Grade teams in my opinion, who both seemingly have the ability to be top 8, but probably won't.

Saints are in better form and there is a lot of questioning for Bevo’s coaching future. Even with the Dogs elite midfield, I’m backing the Saints this week.

Betting Tip: Essendon by 7

Adelaide are finally on the board after beating our AFL Premiership Favourite Carlton last week.

They have been very lacklustre so far, but this could be a step in the right direction and will be firing at home. This will be a good test for Essendon who after pumping the dogs last week, no one knows where they are standing.

Essendon to win in a thriller.

Collingwood are hanging on with a few wins this year, but are definitely on the decline while port are stepping up their game. Even at the G, I think Port will get the job done, although I think the Pies will certainly give them a scare.

Carlton lost their unbeaten streak this year last week after just losing to Adelaide, while GWS only just got over the line by 1 point. I think the orange tsunami will struggle to get the tidal waves over the southern wing of the G, and that the Blues will get home over the line in a thriller.

Head to Head: Brisbane by 8

Geelong are on fire and are seemingly looking unstoppable at this stage. However, they can’t keep winning forever and one of the few teams that have the talent to stop them is the lions, especially in Brisvegas. Brisbane had a slow start but have found their legs and Charlie is officially in. If they bring this confidence in at the home turf, I think they’ll get the W.

Head to Head: Fremantle by 30

The kings of the big game, were certainly flying high last week for the first time in a while. However, this week at the Darby will be a reality check for the fans when they get shot down by the Dockers, who will be revved up after just losing to Port. 3 points loss to Port is equivalent to 80 point win against Richmond at this stage, so Fremantle should win comfortably, but in a stacked house, I don't see it being a landslide.

Head to Head: Sydney by 26

Gold Coast have been a bit underrated this year, as they sit quietly just inside the 8. They’ve had some good wins and close losses, but also got flogged by Bulldogs so anything can happen. Sydney on the other hand have been looking very strong, and with their top midfield and Brownlow Favourite Isaac Henney killing it, I think Sydney should win comfortably.

Head to Head: Hawthorn by 6

Oh boy, save the best game of the round for last (lol). The old master vs his apprentice will be the battle for pick #1. Hawthorn have come a lot closer than the Roos and are playing better as a team. Kangaroos definitely have some good players but I think Hawthorn are a bit more well drilled at this stage. Hawks for the win, but I won't be surprised if it's an upset.
