Betting Tip: Geelong by 9

The in-form Geelong and out-of-form Pies meet at Collingwood’s regular time slot of Friday night at the G. Both teams seem to have reclaimed their form from the beginning of the season when Geelong were dominating and Pies were struggling.

Collingwood also have Mihocek and Howe gone (but Elliot is back in). Going by this and the current form of both teams, and the fact they both had vastly different results again the Dons in the last 2 weeks, and Geelong flogged in-form Hawthorn - I’m giving this one to the Cattery. But, you can never write off Collingwood so keeping it close.

Betting Tip: Sydney by 22

There will be a bit happening in this game in my humble opinion. Kanga’s are really hopping about after a good win against the Suns, and Sydney are vulnerable at the minute with back to back losses in the last few weeks.

It will be a good match up for the young North midfield up against Sydney’s elite mids, and I think they will bring it to them with aggression early.

However, Sydney’s composure and strength will be too much and they should win comfortably - but I’m expecting some good signs from the Roo’s.

Betting Tip: Fremantle by 8

Speaking of the devil, the “in-form” Hawks had a slip up last week at a time of the year they need to muster all the wins they can get, while Freo are still riding high after defeating Sydney the other week.

Hawthorn will give this one a red hot crack, but Freo are looking good at the minute and have proven their spot on the ladder. Fremantle in a close one.

Betting Tip: Bulldogs by 11

Seeing how the Bulldogs got smoked last week by the flailing Port - due to their volatile season it would only make sense (in a season which isn’t making sense) that they would beat the second flag favourite this week?

Carlton absolutely dropped the ball against the Giants last week, proving anything can happen in Footy. As an upset and to keep their finals dream alive, I’m backing the Dogs to pull off another shock win.

Betting Tip: St Kilda by 18

This game feels very much like a battle for a consolation prize. Both teams looked like they have had potential at certain stages of the season, but neither are any threat for the finals.

Still, I think they both have a bit invested in this game, with the victor gaining some respect and showing they should not be categorised as easy beats.

Even though Adelaide fought gallantly against Brisbane last week, the fact that Saints came back against Sydney last week and won is enough to tip them this week.

Betting Tip: Essendon by 9

Another interesting test for the Dons this week. The hurdle of beating the Pies last week wont be taken into account as Collingwood are out of form, and the same can be said for Melbourne.

However, the Dees, against all adversity, have refused to let their season die all year despite the numerous curveballs. I’m expecting a classic Essendon dominated game, but with Melbourne making excellent use of their turnovers.

Dons in a close one, and Milky to show up the old side with a bag, after easing into it last week.

Betting Tip: Gold Coast by 3

The Suns are back to the safety of their sunny fortress up north this week, and looking to keep up their unbeaten tradition.

After losing to at the time bottom placed North last week, and I can only imagine the spray they get from Dimma all week, they will come out find blazing at Port.

Expecting this to be a good tough game of footy, and even though Port had a solid win last week - I can’t see them beating the Suns up north.

Gold Coast in a thriller.

We jumped the gun early last week thinking GWS had retreated into the abyss, but they are still a massive threat on the Richter scale after humiliating Carlton last week.

Betting Tip: Brisbane by 16

Brisbanes form of late showing why they are reigning Grand Finalists, and West Coasts form showing why they are 16th on the ladder.

However, anything can happen in Perth with this Eagles team. They’re hungry for another win and this would really disrupt the status quo of AFL this year.

Brisbane have been too strong of late, and West Coast the opposite, so giving it to the Lions. But, there is every chance West Coast will be up and about for their fans, so I’m tipping it to be closer than the books expect.
