Sydney v Brisbane Tips - AFL Grand Final (28/9/2024)

Betting Tip: Sydney by 4

The big dance has finally arrived, with two well fitting recipients in last years grand finalists Brisbane, and Sydney, who have been the dominant team pretty much all year with a slight hiccup in the middle.

Sydney are almost at their very best again, and even at this tempo they are still winning comfortably against top teams. I still think they have another gear to go to if needs be and that they will achieve this on Saturday.

Brisbane are one of a handful of teams to ever make the Grand Final outside the top 4, which they only narrowly missed out on due to their less than average start to the year. Apart from that, they have been a super strong contender for the back half of the year, and have some stars that are capable in winning it off their own boot in Neale, Daniher, Cameron and Rayner - plus a whole heap of other contributors.

Still, even with Brisbane's elite set up across the ground - the likes of Warner and Heeney are playing on another level of late. With Neale being the main man in Brissy's guts, I think the class of the Sydney lads will be too much as it has been for most of the year.

Sydney to Win (1-39) 2.25 at Neds

First Goal: Charlie Cameron 10.00 at Neds
Arguably the most dangerous small forward in the game, he is usually electric at times in big games. He will want to wet the whistle very quickly and stamp his authority, and if he does I can only hope everyone at the G will join me in singing Country Roads (slight flex that I got a ticket).

Norm Smith: Isaac Heeney 5.50 at Neds
He single handily won the game for the Swans against the Giants, and probably played one of the best games I've ever seen anyone play with a massive hanger, a slips catch, a goal from 70 to equalise the game. He is a big game player and seems to be more talented than everyone else on the ground. If the Swans get up, he should be the man.

Same Game Multi Tip:

  • Leg 1: Sydney to Win (1-39)
  • Leg 2: Joe Daniher 2+ Goals
  • Leg 3: Charlie Cameron 2+ Goals
  • Leg 4: Lachie Neale 25+ Disposals

Same Game Multi is paying 10.43 with Neds (26th of September).

Born and raised in country Victoria, Jimmy tries to hang on to his rural roots by wearing R.Ms in the office, which have never seen a speck of mud.

A keen Essendon fan, he spends most of his free time in the MCC Reserve - where he refuses to join in on Mexican waves, has a wine & cheese platter instead of a pint and a pie, and tells anyone unfortunate enough to listen that Thymosin Beta-4 wasn’t a banned substance.

Born on the wrong side of the ditch, Mason spends his days trying to convince the team that he's as True Blue as the rest of us. When he's not doing that, he spends his days writing, re-writing, and re-re-writing betting site reviews and guides.

This OCDish behaviour would be annoying in most people but when it comes to researching bets and creating accurate bookmaker reviews, it's working out pretty well for the whole team.
