After a shocking start, Adelaide have been getting better and better each week, and will have some confidence going into the hometown Derby after a massive win against struggling Kangaroos.

Port Adelaide are a different kettle of fish and the Crows will need to be on song to beat them - but if they’ve ever got a chance it’s this week as they haven’t been too hot these last two weeks, plus a few niggling Port injuries including possibly Rozee out.

Adelaide to finally rise to the occasion.

Betting Tip: Collingwood by 4

Another prime time belter of a game for Collingwood and Carlton fans to enjoy, should not disappoint. Carlton will be looking at regaining some momentum, after narrowly losing to the undefeated Geelong.

Collingwood are still disoriented from their ANZAC Day draw, but have finally been playing some decent footy of late, and have a healthier fitter list than the Blues at this stage.

Collingwood to snatch it and break some more Carlton hearts.

Head to Head: GWS by 2

The biggest Derby of them all, in the state where AFL is synonymous with greatest game in the world. But honestly, this will be a cracking game between 2nd and 3rd in the potential preview of the all Sydney Grand Final everyone is praying for.

Both teams are fit and healthy, and both embarrassed their oppositions last week, but GWS thug skipper is back from his routine suspension to add a bit of flare. No shortage of ripping games this week and this is a tough one, but I'm backing GWS to show the Swans that Paddington and Moore Park are not safe from the orange tsunami.

Head to Head: St Kilda by 40

Saints have been looking worse and worse as the season goes on, but they did step a bit to Port last week. If North were to shoot their shot against any non-bottom 4 team, it will be now, and may give their supporters something to look forward to in the future.

Still, North won't win, but they may come out firing. But I am expecting a few goals from the big bull Zurhaar, and Wardlaw has been getting better each week, and is sneaking the odd goal in. I think he will keep up that rep and slot one.

Head to Head: Geelong by 16

It'll take more than Melbourne and their depleted forward line to stop the Cats unstoppable run. Even if Tom Stewart is out, there isn't enough danger happening in Melbourne's forward line to worry about.

The Dee's may come in confident after beating Richmond's twos last week, but I think they're in for a reality check and should start praying that the force will help them take a mark inside 50 on Star Wars day.

Head to Head: Essendon by 25

This might be a bit of a danger game for the Dons, that they should not take lightly. Both teams have a decent hit out, no matter where they are on the ladder, and have done so for years.

I wouldn't fully discount the Eagles, at their home turf with their golden boy Harley Reid back in the mix. However, Essendon have finally figured out how to play four quarters of footy, as shown last week in the draw against the Pies, and kept their head held high against the untamed black and white army. The Eagles fans at Perth will be equally as wild.

Essendon should win by a good margin, but I can see it being too close for comfort.

Head to Head: Fremantle by 20

Fremantle have been pretty rancid travelling this year, but this should still be a lock. The Tiges are in all sorts at the minute, riddled with injuries and coming off a fair smacking on a blockbuster time slot last week.

Fremantle had a decent with at home against a perseverance Bulldogs, and if they bring this back to Melbourne then this game should be a real percentage builder.

Head to Head: Western Bulldogs by 16

Another danger game, the Bulldogs shouldn't take this too lightly. Hawthorn, apart from losing nearly every game, have shown some grit and have had a pretty tough start to the season, playing 3 of the top 4 teams, plus Essendon and Collingwood.

Bulldogs should have Libba back to add some contest into the team, and I think it'll be too much of a battle for Hawthorn's midfield to show any real promise. Bulldogs to win by a few.

Head to Head: Brisbane by 30

The third interstate Derby this week, I think will finally be the week that Brisbane pull their finger out and show why the were Grand Finalists last year.

Gold Coast had a decent win last week, but they don't actually know how to have a close game, and have only had 1 game under a 28 point deficit this year. I think Brisbane will continue that trend in the negative to the Suns, and give them hiding with Charlie or Joe, or both even, having a day out.
