AFL Tips, Predictions and Same Game Multi Tips for each game of Round 9 of the 2024 AFL Home and Away Season

Carlton v Melbourne Tips - Round 9 (9/5/2024)

Betting Tip: Carlton by 12

Our AFL Premiership Tip Carlton have been quite lacklustre of late, however they have been having a very tough run, and Melbourne should be a slight step off the pedal. Melbourne have also had some tough games, and have actually been getting a few wins, but I think Carlton will come out flying and the Dees will let their guard down.

Should be a cracking start to the week, but tipping Carlton to get back on premiership track.

    Geelong v Port Adelaide Tips - Round 9 (10/5/2024)

    Betting Tip: Geelong by 19

After registering the first loss of the year last week and dropping to second place, the Cattery will be really looking at getting 1 back here, especially at home. Port looked in all sorts last week against the Crows, and after a few losses of late, I think that the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit less.

I think the Cats should win comfortably, and I don't mind Horney using his pace up forward to snag a few.

Geelong to Win 1.30 ❌ at Neds

      Fremantle v Sydney Tips - Round 9 (10/5/2024)

      Betting Tip: Sydney by 18

Fremantle had a decent win against Richmond last week, but they are going to retreat to their natural habitat of below the 8 after this weekend. Sydney are far too superior at the moment, and really made the Giants look silly. Although bookmakers are probably considering paying out on Isaac Heeney to win the Brownlow already, we're still going strong on our Brownlow Favourite Caleb Serong to snatch it from him. It'll be a good watching the two go head-to-head.

      Sydney to win relatively comfortably.

Sydney to Win (1-39) 2.20 ❌ at Neds

      Same Game Multi Tip:

      • Leg 1: Sydney to Win (1-39) ❌
      • Leg 2: Michael Walters 1+ Goals ❌
      • Leg 3: Jye Amiss 2+ Goals ❌

Same Game Multi is paying 5.29 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

        Hawthorn v St Kilda Tips - Round 9 (11/5/2024)

        Betting Tip: Hawthorn by 12

St Kilda probably see this as one of the few times they'll secure 4 points, but I'm tipping an upset. Hawthorn have had a very difficult start to the year, playing 4 of the top 5 teams, plus Collingwood, out of their 8 games. The other 2 games, they have won. St Kilda have also had a few close losses, but they have only won 2 games also, against lower rated teams.

Should be a close game, but I think Hawks for an upset.

Hawthorn to Win (1-39) 2.85 ✅ at Neds

        Same Game Multi Tip:

        • Leg 1: Hawthorn to Win (1-39) ✅
        • Leg 2: Max King 2+ Goals ✅
        • Leg 3: Mitch Owens 2+ Goals ✅

Same Game Multi is paying 10.87 ✅ with Neds (6th of May).

          Essendon v GWS Tips - Round 9 (11/5/2024)

          Betting Tip: Essendon by 4

There is a lot on the line this game for Essendon, which will turn them from their 20 year rebuilding persona, to a serious finals contender. GWS may also be missing a few key players, with bull Callum Brown gone for a few weeks, who would be a hard match up for Essendon, and GWS' Brownlow dream Tom Green possibly missing out.

Backing the Dons to just get over the line, in a good arm wrestle.

          Essendon Line (+8.5) 1.90 ✅ at Neds

          Same Game Multi Tip:

          • Leg 1: Essendon Line (+8.5) ✅
          • Leg 2: Toby Greene 3+ Goals ❌
          • Leg 3: Brent Daniels 1+ Goals ❌
Same Game Multi is paying 9.01 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

Gold Coast v North Melbourne Tips - Round 9 (11/5/2024)

Betting Tip: Gold Coast by 20

Should be a cake walk for the Suns, but I think North may finally defy expectations and lose by less than 5 goals - a feat they have only achieved once this season against Fremantle.

Gold Coast should still win comfortably, especially at home where they have only lost once this season, and I'm expecting King to slot a few easily.

North Melbourne Line (+44.5) 1.90 ❌ at Neds

            Same Game Multi Tip:

            • Leg 1: North Melbourne Line (+44.5) ❌
            • Leg 2: Ben King 2+ Goals ✅
            • Leg 3: Ben Ainsworth 2+ Goals ✅

Same Game Multi is paying 6.48 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

              Richmond v Western Bulldogs Tips - Round 9 (11/5/2024)

Betting Tip: Western Bulldogs by 10

After getting done by Hawthorn on the weekend, Bevo has more scrutinising eyes on him after Sam Draper threw him under the bus. A loss to Richmond would certainly add some more flavour to it, and the Tigers will definitely be looking at making the most of this opportunity.

Still, expecting the Dogs to win, but not ruling out an upset. Also expecting another solid game from our Rising Star Tip Sam Darcy. I know all eyes are on Harley Reid, but Darcy has been contributing more to his team in my opinion.

              Richmond Line (+20.5) 1.90 ❌ at Neds

              Same Game Multi Tip:

              • Leg 1: Richmond Line (+20.5) ❌
              • Leg 2: Aaron Naughton 2+ Goals ✅
              • Leg 3: Sam Darcy 2+ Goals ✅

Same Game Multi is paying 6.18 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

                Collingwood v West Coast Tips - Round 9 (12/5/2024)

                Betting Tip: Collingwood by 30

If the Eagles can bring what they gave to Essendon on the weekend over to the G, it will be another ripping game. But, they won't. And there's not enough flights from Perth to bring over their entire fan base to gee them up.

Collingwood should win rather comfortably, but the heart the Eagles have shown of late have earned them enough respect to not presume they will get flogged by 10 goals. I'm tipping 5 goals.

Collingwood to Win (1-39) 2.50 ❌ at Neds

                Same Game Multi Tip:

                • Leg 1: Collingwood to Win (1-39) ❌
                • Leg 2: Liam Ryan 2+ Goals ❌
                • Leg 3: Jake Petruccelle 2+ Goals ❌

Same Game Multi is paying 15.39 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

                  Tips provided by Jimmy.

                  Adelaide v Brisbane Tips - Round 9 (12/5/2024)

                  Betting Tip: Adelaide by 10

After what seems like an eternity, Adelaide have finally found their feet and have been managing to win a few good games. Brisbane are also on the incline, but Adelaide have had more closer games against higher quality sides than Brisbane has of late.

Brisbane haven't been travelling well, and have only won one away game this year. I'd say its a level playing field, but over in Radelaide, I'm backing the Crows.

Adelaide to Win (1-39) 2.25 ❌ at Neds

                  Same Game Multi Tip:

                  • Leg 1: Adelaide to Win (1-39) ❌
                  • Leg 2: Eric Hipwood 2+ Goals ❌
                  • Leg 3: Hugh McCluggage 1+ Goals ✅

Same Game Multi is paying 9.87 ❌ with Neds (6th of May).

Born and raised in country Victoria, Jimmy tries to hang on to his rural roots by wearing R.Ms in the office, which have never seen a speck of mud.

A keen Essendon fan, he spends most of his free time in the MCC Reserve - where he refuses to join in on Mexican waves, has a wine & cheese platter instead of a pint and a pie, and tells anyone unfortunate enough to listen that Thymosin Beta-4 wasn’t a banned substance.

Born on the wrong side of the ditch, Mason spends his days trying to convince the team that he's as True Blue as the rest of us. When he's not doing that, he spends his days writing, re-writing, and re-re-writing betting site reviews and guides.

This OCDish behaviour would be annoying in most people but when it comes to researching bets and creating accurate bookmaker reviews, it's working out pretty well for the whole team.
