Whats new at the New Block?
The Block returned in 2023 on Sunday August 6th exclusively on Channel Nine.
The new season is based in the aptly named "Charming Street" in Melbournes Hampton East, which come November, producers are praying that the cute name will attract a large enough self-obsessed portion of the 1% who want their 15 minutes of fame, and to continually increase Melbourne's house prices.
This new season has shown some interesting renovation designs, but is mostly full of the drama you'd expect from the channel that perfectly curates the mismatched egos and dissatisfied sexual partners in MAFS.
It will also definitely inspire a new wave of wannabe renovators who will take on their own home improvement projects, which will involve them trying to barter down tradespeople, botch up painting, somehow electrocute themselves - before finally conceding defeat and calling tradies in to fix their mess, and then complaining about the bill, that they have no intention of paying for 3 months.
Who will win The Block 2023?
Steph & Gian are not only the fan favourites, but are also the current favourite to win The New Block this year. The young couple have a solid advantage after just recently renovating their own place in Sydney, and with some outside the box innovations from Steph being an architect.
