List of The Best Ontario Betting Sites
Out of the 23 sportsbooks to have received a license in Ontario, the following are the very best based on the value they offer through their odds and lines the features they provide their customers, and the way they prioritize the sports most popular in Canada.

#1 Betway Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Leading soccer sportsbook
✅ Great bet builders
✅ Market leaders in Esports
✅ Wide range of NBA lines
❌ Odds could be better
❌ Limits are placed on some accounts
The Best Sportsbook for Soccer & Esports
Betway claims our top spot for the best sportsbook to enter Ontario. Aside from it being easy to use, and a great option for both new and seasoned punters, this sportsbook is well-designed for esports betting and especially well for players that like to bet on soccer. The site is also a good option for players who like to make bets on the NBA.
This betting site is by no means perfect though, and could improve the value of some odds on offer, as well as with the limits the book places on some winning accounts.
Despite this, Betway's a great, reliable option, perfect for bettors at any point of their sports betting journey.

Betway is a leading operator in Ontario, offering up the widest range of soccer & esports bets.

#2 Bet365 Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Most popular brand in Canada
✅ Best odds
✅ Best range of betting lines
✅ Best live betting platform
❌ Cash out offers could improve
❌ Restrictions applied to some winning accounts
Great Odds, Plenty of Lines
Bet365 offers one of the best betting platforms in Canada. They offer the best odds in the country, and also the widest range of betting lines. The operator is also among the best options for betting on live events, and offers the best live-streaming package in all of Canada.
Bet365 does fall short in some areas too, however, especially with their less than generous cash out offers. Bet365 has also been known to limit some accounts, which makes it a less than optimal choice for more experienced players that win a lot of their bets.

Bet365's platform is one of the best out there, both on desktop and mobile.

#3 BetVictor Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Great bet builder for soccer & NBA
✅ Good betting app
✅ Now accepts Interac
✅ Emphasis on safety & security
❌ Big UK focus
❌ Little attention paid to Canadian leagues
Our Pick for NBA Bet Builders
BetVictor suits bettors who like to deposit and withdraw with Interac, along with players who like to use bet builders for soccer and basketball. The sportsbook also offers one of the better betting apps in Ontario compared to what else is out there, suiting mobile players as well.
The site could improve its focus, as when you arrive at the website, it feels a lot like you're on a betting site that is made with British people in mind. Canadian soccer leagues, and the CFL, aren't particularly well offered either. Aside from these things, it's an all round good bookie, and it appeals particularly to mobile NBA bettors who like bet builders.

BetVictor's app is a hit in Ontario, and is available both on the App Store, and on Google Play

#4 Betano Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Award-winning soccer betting site
✅ Live streaming for a wide range of sports
✅ Same game parlays for all major sports
✅ Accepts payments and releases withdrawals through Interac
❌ Yet to offer an app
❌ Could offer more payment options
Award-winning soccer betting site
Betano offers up a great option for soccer bettors. The platform has managed to pick up an EGR award for the soccer offer they've managed to develop. Other big selling points include the range of live-streaming options bettors can access, as well as the wide range of same game parlays available. Betano also works as a good option for users who are new to betting, as the site offers a unique bet mentor feature.
The drawbacks to using Betano involve the fact that the site has yet to launch an app for Ontario users. Another issue lies in the fact that Betano does not offer the same range of payment methods as other betting sites in Ontario. All in all, however, Betano offers a great range of options, and appeals to a wide selection of sports bettors.

Betano's award winning platform is the perfect option for soccer bettors.

#5 Caesars Sportsbook Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Very well-priced odds
✅ Plenty of payment options
✅ Great for casino
✅ Great App
❌ In-play betting isn’t the best
❌ Could offer more features
Leading Odds and Great for Casino
Caesars’ sportsbook is a good option for sports bettors that appreciate generous odds that update regularly. Caesars also offers up a wide range of payment options, which is convenient for all sports bettors, and they also include a built-in online casino that lives up to the Caesars’ brand.
This sportsbook could however improve the in-play part of it’s platform, because at the moment, live betting with Caesars’ isn’t great. Caesars’ could also take some inspiration from Pointsbet, and add a few more features to their platform.
All that said, Caesars appeals to a wide range of sports bettors, and is a solid choice.

Caesars' promise well priced odds, a great casino, and a leading betting app.

#6 888Sport Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Great puck line betting feature
✅ Wide range of sports and markets
✅ Nifty “Bet Feed” bet tracking feature
✅ Customized “made for you” bets
❌ Live streaming is not available in Canada
❌ Could include more basketball lines
Great Puck Line Betting Feature
888Sport offers up the best puck line betting feature for hockey in Canada. The sportsbook is also very well-rounded, as it offers sports betting for more than 25 different sports and entertainment categories. 888Sport is also one of the easiest betting sites to use, with a simple, yet effective betting interface.
888Sport does not offer any live-streaming in Canada, however, which is quite a significant con. The betting site also could offer far more betting options for the NBA, especially considering the popularity surrounding the sport.

If you're into a great live betting experience, and lots of options, you should take a look at 888Sport.

#7 LeoVegas Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ One of the best mobile betting sites
✅ Personalized betting experience
✅ Leoboosts (boosted odds)
✅ Dedicated blog for sports and casino
❌ Desktop doesn’t live up to mobile
❌ Heavy casino focus
King of Mobile Casino
LeoVegas offers the best mobile betting site and app among all other sportsbooks in Canada. LeoVegas also offers up a favourites feature, which users can use to tailor their sports betting preferences, which can create a great personalized betting experience. LeoVegas also offers up very competitive odds, and a range of sports betting options that is comparable with 888sport.
Two areas that LeoVegas could significantly improve on are with the desktop website that they offer. It isn’t nearly as good as most other betting sites in Ontario, along with the heavy casino focus, which can make the betting site hard to use at times.

If you like a bit of casino, and prefer mobile betting, LeoVegas could be the betting site for you.

#8 Royal Panda Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Good for live betting
✅ Good mixture of sports
✅ Great mobile app
✅ Fantastic casino
❌ Lacks horse racing betting
❌ Odds aren’t as good as competitors
Good for Live Betting and Casino
Royal Panda is our favourite sportsbook for live betting. The reason for this is that the features offered for live betting are all of a high quality, including the cash-out offers, virtual feeds, and fluctuating odds. Royal Panda also offers a mixture of sports, and functions well on both desktop and mobile.
Royal Panda could improve by offering horse racing betting, and also by offering better odds for the sports found across their entire sports betting site. We compared Royal Panda’s odds with those on Betway, 888Sport and LeoVegas, and Royal Panda’s were lower across the board.

Royal Panda is solid all-around, and offers a great option to fans of live betting and casino.

#9 Proline Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Good for new players
✅ Government run - ensuring safety
✅ Decent odds for NFL, NHL & NBA
✅ Lots of learning resources for sports betting
❌ Soccer odds are low value
❌ Lacks betting options & features
Our Pick for New Players
Proline OLG offers new players in Ontario a lot. There are learning resources all over the show, for each step of the betting process. There are in-store locations to bet, which means if you run into issues, you have somewhere to go. Lastly, it's government run, which increases the level of safety we felt when using this book.
Where it falls short is with the lower value soccer odds, along with the lack of options and features that can be found elsewhere. Seasoned players may be left wanting by Proline, but new players will enjoy using this book.

Proline have recently launched a full functioning betting app, that pairs well with a well functioning website.

#10 Bwin Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Lots of live-streaming to choose from
✅ Plenty of sports available to bet on
✅ Bet builders widely available
✅ Available in French language
❌ No betting app
❌ No Asian handicaps
Good for live betting & live-streaming
Bwin is a sportsbook with a considerable reputation, and for the most part, lives up to the hype. The range of live bets and live streaming to choose from is impressive, and they offer one of the wider sportsbooks in Ontario.
Where this book falls short is in the fact that they don't offer a betting app, and don't offer soccer betting fans to bet on Asian handicaps. While Bwin has a lot of room for improvement, it's still a sportsbook worth a short in Ontario.

Bwin is a good option for live bets and live streaming, but the absence of an app lets them down.
List of Good Licensed Ontario Betting Sites
If the best didn’t really do it for you, don’t fret, there are plenty of other sportsbooks that have received the license in Ontario that also offer decent value, good odds and lines and trustworthy platforms.
The list below is comprised of the sportsbooks that are by no means bad but are simply not in the same league as the “best”.

#11 Pointsbet Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Innovative features like name-a-bet
✅ High-quality betting app
✅ Great odds for North American sports
❌ Payment methods aren’t always the best
❌ Support could improve
Innovative Aussie Bookie
Points bet is a great betting site for sports bettors that like to use innovative features. Their “points betting” feature, and “name a bet” feature, are two of the best in Ontario. Pointsbet also offers up one of the best sports betting apps in Ontario, and provides bettors with very competitive odds for North American sports, such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.
Pointsbet could improve the variety of payment methods they offer users, as they accept less payment methods than other operators. The support on offer is also not quite as good as other betting sites, which is another area Pointsbet could improve.

If freshness and uniqueness are things you're looking for in your betting, we highly recommend Pointsbet.

#12 DraftKings Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Best for spread betting
✅ North American sports prioritized
✅ Dedicated pages for play-offs and championships
❌ Minimum website design
❌ High minimum withdrawal
Our Pick for Spread Betting
DraftKings is the best site in Ontario for points spread bets, offering a wide range of options for the NFL, NHL, NBA, and more. The site is also the best for betting on the play-offs and championship events, as DraftKings offers specific pages for these events. This is more than what is offered on other betting sites.
DraftKings’ website could be improved as it doesn’t look the best, and there are other betting sites that are easier to use. DraftKings could also improve its minimum withdrawals, as the amount you are able to withdraw is higher than on most other betting sites.

DraftKings sportsbook is the perfect destination for points spread bettors.

#13 Bally Bet
Pros & Cons
✅ Good mobile apps on iOS and Android
✅ Wide range of betting lines for the sports they offer
✅ 24/7 customer support
❌ Weak live betting offer
❌ Few payment methods
Our New Sportsbook Pick
Bally Bet's modern sportsbook offers up great betting apps on Android and iOS, as well as a wide variety of betting lines on the sports they focus on providing odds for. The sportsbook also offers up 24/7 customer support, which is something not many other sportsbooks can boast.
As for where Bally Bet could improve, their live betting section comes to mind. The options available, as well as the interface itself, are not well-designed for live betting. The other area we think Bally Bet could improve is with the lack of payment methods it offers to users looking to deposit and withdrawal.

Looking to bet on one of the leading brands in the US? Use Fanduel.

#15 BetRivers Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Good odds
✅ Lots of betting options
✅ Streaming for niche sports
❌ App could be better
❌ Site feels dated
Lots of betting options
BetRivers offer some good odds on their platform, especially for American football, ice hockey, basketball, and baseball. BetRivers also offers a good range of betting lines for players to choose from.
This betting site could however improve the app that it has made available to its users, and could give the desktop website a bit of a refresh, as it looks old, and is a bit difficult to use.

Offering good odds and options, BetRivers get the job done, but we think you deserve a little more.

#16 Unibet Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Top international sportsbook
✅ Immense selection of odds
✅ Bet builders available across different sports
❌ Can be hard to navigate
❌ Could offer more features
Huge Selection of Odds
Unibet’s platform is best for users that like a classic betting site with good odds, and a lot of betting options available. The betting site has a strong international reputation, offers up bet builders, and a good live betting experience.
Unibet could however improve the website that it offers it’s betting on. The website looks old, and is pretty difficult to navigate through. Another issue we found with Unibet’s platform was that aside from bet builders, we couldn’t see too many features. We felt that Unibet could take some inspiration from Pointsbet for different features to offer up.

While Unibet isn't the easiest site to navigate, you can find plenty of options, and good features.

#17 Northstar Bets Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Same game parlays & lots of options for NFL, MLB, NHL
✅ Dedicated “Sports Insights” section
✅ Fantastic betting app
❌ Lacks options for NBA
❌ Odds are marginally lower value than books higher up the list
Our Pick for NFL Bets
If you're an NFL betting fan, then Northstar Bets is a great option. They offer plenty of parlays, same game parlays, points spread features for football, and it looks as if what they offer for this sport keeps growing. They also have a dedicated “Sports Insights” section that feels a little more personalized than other betting site blogs.
Where Northstar Bets falls short is in that it lacks betting options for the NBA, and the odds available across the book aren't quite at the level of other books above them in this list. All in all, for a betting site that launched a few months ago, Northstar Bets is a good option to try, and to keep an eye on.

Northstar Bets' betting app, along with the NFL options and features available were two highlights for us.

#18 Pinnacle Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Players can bet with high stakes at better odds
✅ Winning players welcome (great for pros)
✅ Handy features, like the margin calculator
❌ No mobile app
❌ Not the best for casual bettors
Great for regular winners, and pro bettors
Pinnacle is a great sportsbook for users who are used to winning their sports bets. Unlike Betway and Bet365, Pinnacle does not restrict winning accounts, but rather welcomes players that win more than they lose. Pinnacle also offers a range of great features, and plenty of payment options.
The issue with this book however is that they don't offer an app that is dedicated to sports betting. Pinnacle does offer an app that allows players to keep track of live events, but users cannot bet with it. Pinnacle is also not the best sportsbook for players looking to place a casual bet on their favourite team, as the book is more geared towards experienced high rollers.

Pinnacle does not offer a sports app, but you can keep up to date with games as they happen on their sports tracking app.

#19 Sports Interaction Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ User friendly interface
✅ Great for racing
✅ Canadian owned & operated
❌ Live streaming is not supported
❌ No app
Good for North American Racing
Sports Interaction (SIA) appeals to newer users who may enjoy a more straightforward desktop betting experience and puts up a leading race book compared to other betting sites in Canada. If you fancy a bet on the ponies, we'd recommend Sports Interaction.
Where this book falls short is with regard to the lack of streaming on offer. Many books in Canada offer streaming, which puts Sports Interaction at a disadvantage. Sports Interaction also doesn't offer a betting app, which is a bit of a big flaw in our eyes. There is hope, however, as SIA may launch an app and join the ever-growing list of Ontario sports betting apps, but that day has not come yet.
All in all, this isn't a bad betting site, but it isn't one of the best either.

Sports Interaction's lack of a betting app is somewhat made up for by a solid mobile betting site.

#20 Bet99 Ontario
Pros & Cons
✅ Great bet builder
✅ Dedicated prop betting section
✅ Football stats directly from the NFL
❌ Limited same game parlays for NHL
❌ Only offers streaming for esports
Great bet builder and player props section
Bet99's strengths include a top-notch bet builder, along with a dedicated player props section. The bet builder can be used for NFL bets, NBA bets, soccer bets, and more. The props section is arguably the best in Ontario, offering up features and filters to help you make your picks.
Bet99 only offers streaming for esports, however, and their limited range of NHL same-game parlays, along with no betting app and an underwhelming & unresponsive mobile website, means that this site is far from being the best in Canada.

Bet99 are yet to launch a sports betting app, but their mobile website is decent enough for betting on a mobile.
List of Average Licensed Ontario Betting Sites
You’ve seen the best, you’ve seen the next best, now maybe you’d like to see a little more. The next bookmakers to be presented are your average joes.
They do the job fairly well, but there’s nothing particularly special about their biggest strengths. In other words, the things these bookmakers do best are done better by the operators on the list of the best bookmakers and the list of good bookmakers.
Nevertheless, we present the average joes - here’s the list of average Ontario betting sites:

#21 Coolbet Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Bet builders for a range of sports
✅ Fantastic live betting platform
❌ Limited NBA lines
❌ No betting app
Our pick for combo generators
Coolbet’s leading feature is their combo generator. All it requires of you is to input the odds that you’re interested in betting on, and the tool will spit out a combo for you to bet on. Aside from this, this book is great when it comes to the user experience it offers, which is best highlighted by the live betting on offer.
Coolbet could improve by offering a sports betting app. They have a good mobile website, but offering an app would take them to a more competitive place on this list. Coolbet also doesn’t offer enough NBA lines. We would have liked to have seen some more props, same game parlays, and more.

Coolbet's combo generators, and sleek live betting interface make it a memorable book, but it could use a betting app.

#22 BetMGM Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Great for live betting
✅ Great for parlay betting
❌ High withdrawal minimums
❌ Support could improve
One of the Biggest Brands in the US
BetMGM’s site is best for live bettors. We really liked the cash-out feature, and the live odds and virtual feeds were other highlights within the live betting they make available. MGM also offers a solid variety of parlay bets, and a high quality betting interface, both on desktop, and on their app.
Similar to DraftKings, BetMGM have higher minimum withdrawals compared to other betting sites that are available in Ontario. Along with this, their website would be made better by a better functioning customer support department.

If you're into live betting, and a sleek website to do your betting on, we'd recommend BetMGM.

#23 theScore.bet Ontario
Pros and Cons
✅ Leading live game tracking feature
✅ Leading betting app in Ontario
❌ Limited betting markets
❌ No desktop sportsbook
Great live game tracking feature
theScore.bet offers up the best live game tracking feature in Ontario. The sportsbook is integrated with theScore’s sports news app, ensuring that you never miss a moment of the action. Aside from a leading game tracking feature, theScore offers up one of the best betting apps in Ontario. The integration aspect mentioned before plays a role in this, but overall, using the app is an absolute pleasure.
theScore could improve in the fact that they do not offer a desktop website, they only offer an app for sports betting. The option to bet on a desktop is great to have, so adding this to their platform would only aid their level of competitiveness amongst other betting sites in Ontario. theScore could also offer a few more betting markets.

No desktop site, and limited betting lines is what makes theScore.bet forgettable amongst the options available in Ontario.
List of Below Par Licensed Ontario Betting Sites
You’ve seen the best, you’ve seen the next best, and you’ve seen the average joes. Now it’s time for us to introduce the bookies to steer clear of in Ontario.
The reason we say this is purely due to the fact that the value of these sportsbooks just isn’t up to scratch compared to other betting sites in Ontario.
Nevertheless, here are some of the below-par betting sites that have been licensed in Ontario.

24. Comeon!
✅ Nice features
❌ Doesn't offer a sports book in Ontario yet
Comeon's sports betting offering is characterized by decent odds and nice features, but it doesn't quite keep up with the likes of Betway and Bet365.
The worst part is, Comeon doesn't offer a sportsbook to Ontario residents. The button found below can only take you to their casino.
25. Rivalry
✅ Great for esports
❌ Limited sports betting options
With a strong Esports focus, Rivalry fails to deliver on regular sports betting, by only offering odds and lines for a handful of sports.
We recommend using other licensed Ontario Sportsbooks.
26. Party Poker Sports
✅ Good range of sports betting options
❌ Lacks any real features
While Party sports may look impressive from the offset, the issues with this sportsbook involve the lack of sports on offer, the poor user experience, and the default odds being in decimal format.
Party would need to offer a far better sportsbook for them to become a serious contender in Ontario.
27. Poker Stars Sports
✅Nice live betting section
❌ Website is laid out in a strange way
Another poker site looking to make its mark on sports betting, Poker Stars does a forgettable job while attempting to offer a sportsbook. While the live betting section is nice, the site doesn't work as well as other betting sites on the list.
28. Play Falls View
✅ Odds provided by Kambi
❌ Limited sports on offer
Play Falls View, the online branch of Falls View resorts and casino, has recently entered the online space. The book has its odds provided by Kambi, one of the leading odds providers in the industry. With that said, the limited sports on offer, and the highly irregular app, relegate this book to one of the last positions on this list.
29. CanPlay Sports
✅ Trusted Casino
❌ Sportsbook not yet active
CanPlay Casino is a well established operator that has offered casino games to Canadians for quite some time. They carry a license from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and have recently been licensed in Ontario. Where this operator falls short, however, is they lack a sports focus, so much so that their sportsbook has yet to launch. We recommend this book to casino fans, but not to sports bettors.
30. Fitzdares
✅ Experienced bookmaker
❌ Old website that's hard to use
Fitzdares is a famous bookmaker in the UK, and has recently made the trip across the pond to begin offering their sportsbook to Canadians. While this sportsbook has been around for a long time, they miss the mark in that they simply do not offer what's available on other bookmakers in Ontario.
31. Betsafe
✅ Good for NBA and MLB bets
❌ App only sportsbook - no desktop site
Betsafe is the most recent brand to enter the Ontario market, having acquired the license on the 27th of February. This betting site has deals with the MLB and NBA, meaning they offer good options for these leagues, but otherwise, Betsafe leaves much to be desired.
Ontario Betting Sites Summary
Since Ontario’s launch, the variety of betting sites in Ontario has only gone from strength to strength. With nearly 30 different betting sites available, and plenty of casino and poker sites, this has to be one of the fastest growing sports betting markets. And there’s more to come.
If you’ve made it this far, and aren’t sure which betting sites to choose in Ontario, don’t worry. We think you should choose Betway if you’re new, Bet365 if you love value, LeoVegas if you like to bet on an app, and Pointsbet if you like a site with great features
Otherwise, jump pack to the full Ontario betting sites list, and check out our list one more time!
Final Word from Alex
So there you have it.
We've gone through each of the licensed and legal Ontario sportsbooks in-depth, and now you have a better idea of which ones to use, which ones to consider using, and which ones to dodge altogether.
The truth is that this list is merely temporary. More and more operators will enter the fray as time goes by, and we will be sure to include them.
Happy betting Ontario!
