Bet Nova Logo

1. BetNova

Launched in 2026

✅ Bet Builder for same game parlays with boosted odds

✅ Plenty of specials betting markets for NBA, NHL, NFL, and Soccer

✅ Moderate betting market depth including game lines and props

❌ No mobile app available

❌ Live betting features are limited including no live streaming

❌ Zero coverage for Canadian sports leagues

Our Thoughts

Launched in 2026, BetNova is the newest sportsbook option for those in Ontario. BetNova's sports betting offerings offer all the basic markets like game lines, props, and combo markets across major sports leagues. The bet builder is easy to use, odds are respectable for NBA, NHL, and soccer, and bettors have 26 sports categories to choose from.

It still lacks some of the features expected from more established books, particularly for live betting and a lack of a dedicated app. Still, for bettors who value flexibility and a straightforward layout, BetNova makes a promising early impression.

2. Granawin

Launched in 2026

✅ Impressive variety of pre-match and in-play Soccer markets

✅ Over 34 sports to choose from

✅ AI insights on game lines provides more head-to-head stats

❌ No mobile app available

❌ No live streaming available

❌ Bonus requirements can be hard to meet

Our Thoughts

Granawin is one of the latest non-Ontario betting sites that has started accepting Canadian players. It also stands as one of the few sites in Canada that doesn't carry an offshore license, approved through the Kahnawake Gaming Commission which operates outside of Montreal.

Granawin offers 34 different sports to choose from, frequent boosted odds on both single bets and parlays, and provides some useful features like AI insights on game lines. Betting markets tend to stick towards the expected game lines, props and quarter/halftime line, with some additional specials and combo lines for the NHL, NBA, and NFL.

3. Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook

Launched in 2025

✅ Strong casino offering and live casino games

✅ Free-to-play games that can unlock sports betting opportunities

✅ Clean, well rated mobile app available

❌ Sportsbook feels secondary to the casino side

❌ Limited market depth and betting features

❌ Odds and pricing are weaker than most sites in Ontario

Our Thoughts

Monopoly is relatively recent betting site made available in Ontario, which went live in November of last year. Although it's a 2-in-1 sportsbook and casino, their platform is more focused on the casino end.

For sports betting purposes, the site covers 18 sports categories with a very basic selection of betting markets, even on popular sports leagues like the NBA and NHL. For casual bettors or those that prefer casino games, Monopoly is decent option worth looking at. For more serious sports bettors, there's plenty of better options in Ontario.

4. Maverick Games

Launched in 2025

✅ Combo generator for simple multi-leg parlays

✅ Fast payout speeds

✅ No maximum withdrawal limits

❌ Limited sports betting offerings

❌ $20 minimum deposit requirement

❌ Limited payment methods available

Our Thoughts

Maverick Games is another 2025 entry in Ontario. It operates primarily as a casino platform, with sports betting offered as a secondary feature rather than a core product. While bettors can place wagers on popular sports and build basic combinations, the sportsbook itself feels limited when compared to even mid-tier Ontario operators.

There are no standout betting features, market depth is shallow, and pricing doesn’t compete with sportsbooks like FanDuel or BetMGM. Maverick Games works best for users who are primarily interested in the casino and want to place the occasional sports bet, but it’s unlikely to satisfy anyone looking for a dedicated sportsbook experience.

Toonie Bet Square Logo

5. ToonieBet

Launched in 2025

✅ Betting insights applies to game lines

✅ Live Betting available

✅ 30+ sports to choose from

❌ Moderate wait times on withdrawals

❌ Limited live streaming

Our Thoughts

ToonieBet stands out as a promising sportsbook for Ontario-based bettors, offering a regulated and secure platform under AGCO licensing since March 2024. With over 29 sports, including niche options like futsal and ski jumping, it delivers broad coverage for fans of both mainstream and lesser-known events. The platform’s standout features, such as its Insight tool for smarter wagers and an easy-to-use Parlay Builder, cater well to both new and experienced users. Its mobile app earns strong user reviews (4.5 stars on iOS, 4.0 on Android), and live betting is enhanced by real-time stats and possession-based updates.

However, bettors should note a few limitations. Withdrawal times can lag for some payment methods, and live-streaming options are limited mostly to lower-profile sports. Still, thanks to its intuitive interface, helpful betting tools, and strong sports variety, ToonieBet makes a compelling case for users to see what it has to offer compared to other options in Canada.

6. Swiper

Launched in 2025

✅ Gamified features like challenges and rewards

✅ VIP system with additional offerings

✅ Fast payout speeds

❌ Early user feedback draws concerns over reliability and support

❌ Sportsbook features and market depth are pretty basic

❌ More focused on the casino end than the sportsbook

Our Thoughts

Swiper entered Ontario in 2025, positioning itself as a mobile-first platform with a focus on gamification and engagement. Bettors can place pre-match and live wagers on major sports, and the app introduces challenges and rewards designed to make betting feel more interactive than at traditional sportsbooks.

Out of the new sports betting options in Ontario, Swiper is by far one of the better new options. Game lines come with sliders for better flexibility, market depth is decent across props, game lines, and combos with plenty of quarter markets to choose from. Major sports leagues provide the best depth, like the NBA and NHL, and European Soccer leagues like Premier league also carry the same level of attention.

Titan Play Sqaure Logo

7. Titanplay

Launched in 2025

✅ Great selection of sports

✅ Strong casino side of the platform

✅ Unique betting features and markets

❌ Limited payment options

❌ Lacks live betting features and streaming

Our Thoughts

TitanPlay’s sportsbook stands out because of its unique wagering features that go beyond standard betting formats. Its If Bets and early cash-out options give users more control over how their wagers unfold, which can be especially appealing to bettors who like having more ways to manage their risk.

The interface is also well designed, with real-time odds updates that make in-play wagering more engaging than at many other mid-tier books. That said, TitanPlay’s overall market depth, particularly for prop and niche bets, doesn’t match the larger sportsbooks higher on this list, and its range of payment methods is narrower.

For bettors who value unconventional bet types and an energetic live betting experience, TitanPlay is a noteworthy choice, even if it isn’t the best fit for users seeking the deepest markets.

FAQ

How do I know if a new betting site is legal in Ontario?

All sportsbooks that acquire a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) are legally able to operate in Ontario. In order to acquire this license, operators must follow strict regulations, such as providing fair odds and minimum level of security. You can find the list of legal operators on the iGaming Ontario website here.

How do I know if a new betting site is legal in the rest of Canada?

Since the rest of Canada currently falls under a grey market, there are no regulatory agencies enforcing standards for sportsbooks that operate in these provinces. However, these sportsbooks must still acquire offshore licenses, of which do impose regulations upon them.

How can I tell if a new sportsbook is legit?

The key to distinguishing legitimate sportsbooks from bad actors lies in examining the licenses an operator holds. Not all online casinos or sportsbooks are licensed, making it crucial to verify their credentials before signing up and depositing money.

Betting with an unlicensed site carries a significant risk of fraud, as these platforms may operate without oversight, potentially leading to unfair practices or withheld winnings. Ensuring a sportsbook is properly licensed helps protect your funds and can increase your chances of a safer betting experience.

Do all new sportsbooks offer welcome bonuses?

Not all sportsbooks offer welcome bonuses. If there are any to be had, we make sure to inform you about them. However, Ontario regulations forbids us from sharing these bonuses for Ontarians. For those residing in Ontario, these bonuses will only become apparent once you've visited the betting site. For those in the rest of Canada, you can visit our sign-up bonus page.

Do new sportsbooks come with apps?

Not all sportsbooks offer apps. However, most sportsbooks offer a mobile website allowing those on-the-go to still access their platforms. We make sure to distinguish between these two in our reviews and are sure to update you whenever a sportsbook releases a mobile app.
