    Betway Ontario App

    Pros & Cons

✅ Rated 4.7 on the app store

    ✅ NHL specials bets available

✅ Dedicated esports hub with stats & info

    ✅ Seamless deposits with Interac

❌ Withdrawal process on the app isn’t the best

    ❌ Betway’s odds could improve

    Betway Ontario App Review

Betway’s app is our overall top pick. Raking in a 4.7 ranking on the app store from over 45 000 ratings, you can be sure that you’re betting with one of the best apps when you choose Betway. Some of the things we like about Betway’s app included the boost available for the NHL, where users can bet on Auston Mathews to score, and for the Maple Leaves to win their upcoming game for example.

We were also liked that on Betway’s app, you could access a sophisticated bet builder for soccer, and that cash out functionalities remained just as convenient as on the desktop site. Betway’s app is also a fantastic option for esports bettors, as it offers a range of events from leading esports competitions, live-streaming for esports, and bets like fewest kills on a single map by a given player, correct score, and for a given team to win at least one map. We also really enjoyed how easy Betway make it for users to deposit with Interac. Betway's app also tops our betting apps in all of Canada list.

Issues with the Betway app included the bet builder only being available for soccer. We know that a lot of Canadians like betting on the NBA and the NHL, so we felt that if Betway were to begin offering a bet builder for more sports, more users would appreciate that. We also felt that the odds on Betway’s app could improve. Some users on the app store have also complained that the withdrawal process on the app is a bit cumbersome.

    Bet365 App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Live streaming on big events

✅ Rated 4.6 on the App Store

    ✅ Consistently provides high odds

✅ Extensive bet builder with plenty of options

✅ Thousands of bets to choose from

❌ Cash out offers aren’t the best

❌ Complaints about ineffective app updates

    Get Bet365 App

    Bet365 Ontario App Review

Bet365’s app is our pick for the next best betting app in Canada. Bet365’s app gets a 4.6 overall ranking on the app store from a little over 55 000 rankings, and promises features such as parlays (both regular and same game), live-streaming, and some of the best odds in Canada. What we liked particularly about Bet365 were the bet builders that allow you to add so many options to your built bet.

What’s more is that the bet builders are available for all the big sports in Canada, which is something that can’t be said for Betway. For the NBA for example, you can add selections like player steals and blocks, player assists and rebounds, and player double-triple. We also enjoyed that Bet365 offer up pre-made same game parlays, where you can bet on the Lakers to win, Anthony Davis to get more than 2.5 blocks in a match, and for LeBron James to score more than 20 points in the same match.

With Bet365’s in-app live-streaming, you’re able to watch events from some bigger leagues than you can on other betting apps in Ontario, such as La Liga, some games in the NFL, along with tennis games.

We had to work pretty hard to find any shortcomings with Bet365’s app, but included in some cons associated with the app include their less than impressive cash out offers, along with regular updates that a lot of users have complained about. Aside from that, there’s more to like about Bet365 than dislike.

    Bet365 ios app store

    BetVictor App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Highly customizable bet builder for NBA & soccer

✅ Regular boosts for NHL & NBA

✅ Simple layout on their app

❌ Bet builder not available on all sports

❌ Lacks prop bets for the NHL

    Get BetVictor App

    BetVictor Ontario App Review

BetVictor’s offers up one of the more underrated betting apps in Ontario. The sportsbooks hails from the UK, and according to us, provides users with significant value. We’re a big fan of their bet builder, and the boosts that they make available. BetVictor is also a good option for more seasoned in-store bettors, or users completely new to betting online, as the interface is so simple to interact with.

To expand a bit more on what BetVictor has to offer, we’d need to start with our biggest highlight of theirs - the bet builder. Their bet builder offers up the widest range of customization for soccer and basketball that we’ve seen among other sportsbook apps. For example, if you were looking to bet on the Raptors in their upcoming game, you could bet on the match result, for Pascal Siakam to score more than 20 points, and for there to be over 219.5 total points scored throughout the game. What’s makes the totals bets in this example special is that BetVictor gives you the option to bet on a margin of 20 points each way for these markets, which isn’t available on any other bet builder.

We also really liked the boosts available on BetVictor’s site, which could be found as you enter the given page for NHL or NBA. We’ve seen odds prices change pretty drastically. On one occasion, we saw odds for the Lakers to win change from +480 to +550. The last thing we really enjoyed was how easy it was to use BetVictor’s app.

The things we didn’t like about BetVictor’s app included their bet builder not being available for all the sports they have on offer. The bet builder works really nicely for basketball and soccer, but for other sports, the bet builder is either unavailable, or the range of options are not on the same level. We also were a little disappointed to see the lacking options for prop bets in the NHL.

    LeoVegas Sports App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Award-winning mobile betting site

    ✅ Daily trending combos

✅ Personalization features for your picks

✅ Points spread and totals toggles

✅ Customisable bet builders for a range of sports

❌ Separate apps for casino and sports

❌ Only offers live-streaming for esports

    Get LeoVegas App

    LeoVegas Ontario App Review

LeoVegas’ app is world renowned. Their online casino won Mobile Operator of the Year in 2019, and if you’ve spent some time navigating their app, it’d be easy to understand why. LeoVegas ensures that users have an easy time of finding and placing their bets, and in recent times, their focus on developing their sportsbook has changed their sportsbook from one that’s easy to use, to one that provides great odds, lots of markets, and plenty of handy features.

If we’re to expand on what we liked most about LeoVegas’ app, it would have to start with the odds. We measure sportsbook odds with the help of a margin calculator whenever we review new betting sites, and what we’ve become accustomed to seeing is Bet365’s margins being the lowest (which means the odds are the best). We have, however, noticed that these days, LeoVegas offers up odds that challenge, and sometimes beat Bet365’s.

Other things we really enjoyed about LeoVegas’ app were the daily trending combos that they make available on their homepage. You can see odds for soccer, basketball, football, tennis and more, being boosted. We also really enjoyed the level of personalization you could get out of LeoVegas, as they have a favourites section that allows you to pin the sports you are interested in betting on. We were also fans of the toggle feature that allows you to change points spread and totals options. They can be used on regular single bets, as well as on parlays.

There were only two things we didn’t like about LeoVegas’ app. The first was that you need to download separate apps for sports, casino, live casino and poker. Most other sportsbooks, like Betway and Bet365 allow you to bet on sports and play casino games through the same app. We also didn’t like that LeoVegas hasn’t begun offering streaming for bigger sports. Right now, the sportsbook only offers streaming for esports, which is something we’d like to see more of for other sports.

    Proline OLG App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Lots of learning resources for newer players

✅ Government run, ensuring safety & security

    ✅ Recently launched a fully-fledged betting app

✅ Decent odds on North American sports

❌ Soccer odds are lower in value

❌ Lacks betting options and features

    Get Proline App

    Proline Ontario App Review

Proline is the OG Ontario sportsbook. The province launched the government run sportsbook back in the early 2000s, and while it’s still fairly new in the online space, Ontario residents are probably very used to seeing Proline logos at gas stations, and convenience stores. Proline’s app has undergone a lot of changes in recent times, as before, it was a glorified betting receipt, and now, users can sign up, deposit, bet, and withdraw with it, which is a giant step forward.

While Proline’s app can get a bad rap on the app store (a shocking 1.4 / 5 stars), we think locals are being a little harsh. For one, we think this app is a fantastic option for beginners, who haven’t spent much time using a sportsbook. Proline’s app makes a lot of beginner guides available, and includes helpful prompts and descriptions for different bets. Another thing we liked, that’s related to being perfect for beginners, is that the app is government run, which ensures that there’s a level of accountability in the running of the app. When we checked the app store comments that were left by users, we noticed that Proline’s customer service department had replied to every one of the comments, which can’t be said for all other sportsbooks.

We also liked that Proline has taken the development of their app seriously. Before, their app could only be used as a bet ticket generator, which you could then take to in store betting locations to get scanned to receive your winnings. These days, you can sign up, deposit, bet, and withdraw on the app, which has certainly changed the game when it comes to their all round offering.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the odds Proline offers for North American sports. We measured their odds against LeoVegas and 888sport back when we reviewed them, and for NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB, their odds were pretty solid. Their odds are specifically impressive for games in the NHL, which we were really impressed with.

When it comes to what Proline could do better, we would have liked to have seen better odds for soccer. While not a major sport in Ontario, lots of locals like to bet on the EPL and Champions League, and we were disappointed to see the gulf in value between what Proline provided, and what LeoVegas and Bet365 provide. We missed features such as bet builders, live-streaming and cash out that you can regularly find on other sportsbook apps in Ontario.

    Betano Ontario App

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Award-winning soccer betting app

✅ Watch live streams for soccer

✅ Plenty of special bets across sports

✅ Sign up and verification process is quick and painless

✅ Withdrawal process is easy to follow

❌ Could offer more options for other sports

    ❌ Lacks payment offers

    Get Betano App

    Betano Ontario App Review

Betano’s app as won awards for its soccer betting offerings, and offers an intuitive and fast app that bettors in Ontario are bound to enjoy. Some of the things we like most about the platform include the fast account creation and verification processes, the seamless withdrawal procedure, and the range of special bets users can choose from on soccer, not to mention the live-streaming that is accessible on Betano’s app for soccer.

When it comes to creating an account, we were able to create, and get our accounts verified within minutes, which cannot be said for most other betting apps in Ontario. In terms of the range of bets offered for soccer, Betano rivals the likes of Bet365, offering more than 330 bets per Premier League game. There are plenty of different options under each betting category, with users able to bet on more than 30 different options for the correct score market for example. Their watch and bet features allows you to stream games, and bet while watching games live.

Another highlight was the seamless withdrawal process on Betano’s app, which is made even better by the fact that users can use Interac to access their payments. Overall, the betting experience for every process involved with placing bets on Betano works well and feels easy.

In terms of where Betano could improve, we felt that they could shift some of their focus to other sports that were bigger in Canada. We would have liked to have seen a little more focus and energy put on basketball and hockey for example. The other thing we felt could be improved on Betano’s app was the lacking payment methods. While we were happy to see Interac payments being accepted on the app, we would have liked to have seen more options than Apple Pay, Visa and MasterCard.

    NEO.bet Ontario App

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Live match tracking available

    ✅ Personal bet configurator

    ✅ Good cash out offers

❌ Some user info in German

❌ Some features don’t function well on older devices

    Get NEO.bet App

    NEO.bet Ontario App Review

NEO.bet’s app provides users with something different. On the App Store, NEO.bet have an app store ranking of 4.0 out of 5, based on 40 ratings, with some users commenting that it’s the best sports app. High praise for an app that has only recently in Ontario. As for features, we enjoyed the live match tracking, bet builder (which they call their personal bet configurator), and their cash-out feature.

We liked their live match tracking because they make positions on the pitch or court clear, with indication of where the ball is, and whether a threat is materializing. In terms of their personal bet configurator (or bet builder), we were impressed. The bet builder offers up a solid range of selections, and allows you to pick selections from the same game, as well as different games. You can bet on Man City, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich to win, or you can bet on Man City to win, Erling Haaland to register more than 1.5 shots on target, and for the total goals in the game to exceed 2.5 goals, for example.

We also enjoyed their cash-out feature. NEO.bet clearly indicates which markets cash out are offered for, and when it comes to the offers themselves, they’re generous, and won’t leave you wanting if you want to secure some of your stake back.

There were some things about NEO.bet’s app that we didn’t like. For one, if you want to access advanced features, and have an older device, some features will either take slower to function, or won’t work at all. The other issue we had was the overall design of the app, as well as the way the app was laid out. We felt that at times, the odds were presented in a strange way. This can lead to awkward outcomes, such as making the wrong picks, or misreading the actual value of an outcome.

    Unibet App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Same game parlays on bigger sports

    Pre pack combos available

    Reliable sportsbook with good odds

    Great for live betting

    No live-streaming

    Can be hard to navigate

    Get Unibet App

    Unibet Ontario App Review

Unibet’s fostered a trusted and reliable betting brand over two decades of providing market leading odds and markets. We really liked to see the same game parlays and pre packs available. We also liked to see the odds they provide users, which are consistently of high value.

To expand on what we like about Unibet, we’d need to start with their parlay options. While same game parlays aren’t particularly rare in Ontario these days, Unibet makes a couple of handy features available that can’t be found on other bookmakers. Aside from regular markets such as money lines, points spreads, and player points, users can bet on player specials, player three, and player rebounds. For example, in the players specials tab, you can bet on Jayson Tatum to get over or 40.5 points, rebounds, and assists when the Celtics play their next game. We couldn’t find too many other sportsbooks offer three different actions into one bet type.

We also liked the ability Unibet’s gives users to bet on prepacked combos. While the combos themselves only consist of two bets, they’re usually two that are related which makes them pretty interesting. For instance, we saw a bet that included the Celtics winning, and Jayson Tatum to score over 34.5 points. Lastly, the odds are always high value with Unibet, and we can highly recommend them if you like placing in-play bets.

The only issues we had with Unibet was that we couldn’t find any live-streaming available for any sports, and we felt that at times, the app could be a little harder to navigate than BetVictor for example.

    Tonybet Ontario App Review

    Northstar Bets App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Same game parlays for NFL. MLB, NHL

    Dedicated sports insights section

Betting app is well laid out, and easy to use

    Lacks NBA options & features

    Odds could improve

    Get Northstar Bets' App

    Northstar Bets Ontario App Review

Northstar Bets is one of the homegrown Canadian sportsbooks to have set up shop in Canada, and for a new kind on the block, we were pretty impressed with what they offered. They manage to blend plenty of insights and information, with a site that’s easy to navigate and bet with.

There were a couple of things we really liked about Northstar Bets. Their same game parlays were really good, and available for a wide range of sports, including hockey, soccer, basketball, and football. We liked that Northstar gives the option to build your own bets from scratch, and also gives you a handful of prepacked combos to use as well. If you’re betting on the NBA for example, you can bet on the Celtics to win, Jayson Tatum to score over 41.5 points, Jaylen Brown to record over 5.5 blocks, and for the game to end with more than 215 points scored.

The pre pack combos allow you to bet on two pre-set lines, such as Jayson Tatum to record more than 10.5 blocks (including overtime), and for the Celtics to win (including overtime) for example.

We also really liked the dedicated sports insights section, which provided plenty of sports news, betting trends, and tips and tricks that could help bettors at whichever stage they are in their journeys.

Northstar Bets also had some areas that we thought could be improved. To start with, we felt the odds could be a bit better. If betting on the best odds is what you’re most interested in, we’d recommend going with LeoVegas or Bet365. We also thought it was a bit weird that when you click on the sportsbook, the casino page comes up for a few seconds, before you’re redirected to the sportsbook page, but that was a small thing. Overall, we think Northstar has a lot of potential, and with a bit more focus on the odds they provide, will rise up our lists in no time.

    Sports Interaction App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Lots of free to play games

    24/7 support

    Excellent payment methods

    Not the most competitive odds

    Not enough niche markets

    Get Sports Interaction's App

    Sports Interaction Ontario App Review

Sports Interaction’s homegrown sportsbook serves as a perfect answer to users out there looking for a book with a more Canadian touch. This is the edge Sports Interaction has over the likes of Betway and Bet365. The first highlight we were fans of included the randomized bets given of odds of +5000. On the site, these are known as Piñata picks, and they’re given these crazy odds because they’re unlikely to happen. Such as the goalie to score in hockey for example.

Sports Interaction also suits users that aren’t sure whether they are keen on depositing money and betting for real. They have two free to play games, one called “NHL bracket”, and another called “Pickem”. When we checked, the NHL bracket game had closed, but “pickem” allows you tom make picks and win thousands of dollars in prizes. This can be a nice way to ease into betting on sports for real.

Other highlights about Sports Interaction we enjoyed included the fact that you could seamlessly deposit and withdraw with Interac. We also liked all the other Canadian focussed payment methods that users could make use of. We also appreciated the fact that Sports Interaction have people working around the clock in order to ensure that any issues or questions you may have. 24/7 customer support is a rare commodity in the betting world.

Issues we had with Sports Interaction included the frequently suspended markets across the site. We found it a little annoying that you could select a given game with the hope to bet on it, and then see that the markets were in fact closed. SIA also have odds that don't always stack up to the competition, which would help them really move up as a serious betting site.

    888Sport App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Bet builders available for a range of sports

✅ Unique bet finder tool available

    ✅ Offers up “888 Specials”

✅ Customized “made for you” best available

✅ Points spread and totals toggle feature

    888Sport Ontario App Review

888sport’s betting app is one of the leaders when it comes to innovative features, and unique betting experience. 888 have a solid 4.2/5 ranking on the app store, from 613 reviews so far. In terms of what we liked, 888sport’s app provides a unique bet tracking feature called Bet Feed. What this enables users to do is view trending bets that other 888sport account holders are making. If, for example, you’re unsure about which bet to go with when the Raptors next play, you can check out Bet Feed to see how others have predicted them to perform.

888sport’s app also offers up one of the more customizable bet builders available in Canada. You can add a bet such as Anthony Davis to accumulate more than 5 blocks, Stephen Curry to score more than 15 points, the Lakers to win, and for the game to finish under 229.5 points.

888sport’s app also offers a wide range of special bets, as well as competitions that users can join for free. Currently, you can join 888sport’s up for 8 prediction challenge, which you can play exclusively on the app. We also really enjoyed the custom-made for you bets that are visible on the app. These bets are generated based on your past bets, so if you usually bet on the NHL and NFL, then 888sport’s app will present you with a number of bets from each of these leagues.

Issues with 888sport’s app include some spontaneous crashing from time to time. Our findings have also indicated that some users have experienced issues with being logged out of their accounts, which can be extremely frustrating when placing live bets.

List of Good Ontario Sports Betting Apps

You’ve seen the best, and maybe they didn’t quite do it for you. We get that. The next list to appear in the article are the betting apps in Ontario that are very good, but didn’t quite cut the list of “the best”.

These betting apps are certainly worth trying, especially since most of them have some really nifty perks and features.

The list of good betting apps worth trying in Ontario includes DraftKings Sportsbook App, Pointsbet’s app, and BetRivers’ app.

    Bet99 App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Great bet builder feature

✅ Football stats directly from the NFL

    ✅ Dedicated prop betting section

❌ Bet builder not available on all sports

    ❌ Higher deposit minimum

    Get Bet99 App

    Bet99 Ontario App Review

Bet99 is one of the more recent betting apps to launch in Ontario, and has been seriously anticipated given the quality of their sportsbook. Bet99 started their journey with advertising at local hockey games before Ontario even legalized online betting, and the mobile app was really the only thing missing from having a complete betting offering.

One of the best features of the Bet99 app is the dedicated selection of player prop markets, which is easily one of the best in all of Canada. On the app it is very easy to navigate to this selection of markets and create a varied bet based on the huge number of options for pretty much every sport. Ranging from game markets down do quarters or next game depending on the sport, you can build some impressive wagers just focused on a single player.

We previously bemoaned the limited live streaming on Bet99, but a recent relaunch has added a number of sports aside from just eSports, allowing bettors to stream things like tennis and football directly from the app while they bet.

Our only real issue with the Bet99 app is that the bet builder function is really well developed for major sports, and we'd like to see this expand to more niche sports.

    Caesars Sportsbook App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Great range of prop bets available

Same game parlays for most sports

Regular odds boosts on the site

    Underwhelming customer support

Glitchy app, can affect user experience

    Get Caesars Sportsbook App

    Caesars Sportsbook Ontario App Review

Caesars’ sportsbook offers all the thrill of their land based establishments they’ve become known for in Vegas. Aside from a strong sportsbook offering, Caesars also offers plenty when it comes to casino.

To expand on what we liked about the sportsbook, we’d have to start with the range of prop options. We really liked that Caesars offered an extensive range of props for both games, and players, which is best highlighted when NFL season rolls around. We were especially impressed with fact that you can bet on yards rushed per player, touchdowns scored per team, and yards passed per QB.

We also liked the range of same game parlays that were available across Caesars’ sportsbook app. Caesars offered a mixture of pre-packed same game parlays, that you can simply lay stake on, and Caesars gives you the option to build your own bets. If you’re up for an NBA bet, you could bet on the Lakers to win, for LeBron to score over 30.5 points, and for their game to end with more than 219.5 points scored, for example. The combos usually blend two markets, so if we were to keep going with the Lakers example, you could bet on the Lakers to win, and for Anthony Davis to register over 4.5 blocks.

We also really liked the range of odds boosts that were available for all the top sports in Canada. We saw some odds going from +250 to +325, which can heavily increase your winnings on correct selections.

There were some things we didn’t like about Caesars. To start, we weren’t wild about the fact that Caesars’ support wasn’t up to scratch. We waited ages for our email to be seen to, and when it was, it felt like the response was rushed, and didn’t really help us that much. The app, for the most part worked okay, but was prone to glitching, and the interface could have been better optimized to look and feel more like the website’s layout.

    Average Ontario Sports Betting Apps

That’s it, folks, the best, and the next best apps are the ones that have been listed above. If you’re still here, you may have exhausted the options listed above and might be looking for something else.

The next betting apps to be listed are alright. They get the job done, but they’re not going to leave a lasting impression. They get mediocre scores on the app store and are worth a shot if you’ve tried all the apps listed above, and are fresh out of options.

The average betting apps available in Ontario are Unibet’s app, Fanduel’s sportsbook app, and BetMGM’s app:

    Average Ontario Betting Apps Banner

    BetRivers App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

    Nice range of specials available

Quick pick same game parlays available

Wide range of NBA bets available

    App’s interface could improve

Could offer a few more payment options

    Get Betrivers' App

    BetRivers Ontario App Review

BetRivers offers up a solid betting app to Ontario users. We really liked the range of bets they make available, their odds, and their specials. Their site has also developed for the better as time has passed since their arrival in Ontario.

To expand on some of our highlights, we’ll start with their house specials tab. When we checked, BetRivers were offering house specials for soccer NHL, and golf, and included bets like Inter Milan to beat Fiorentina, and keep a clean sheet, which we thought was quite a fun bet. For the NHL, they offered any player to score 1+ and record at least 1 assist in a game between the Hurricanes and the Panthers, which was another fun bet considering it can be any player to achieve these stats.

We also liked the quick pick same game parlays that are available every day for a range of different sports. We found quick pick same game parlays for soccer and baseball, but depending on the games that are being played on a given day, more can be added. We saw built bets for a game between Chelsea and Manchester United, which included a double chance bet, for there to be under 0.5 goal for Manchester United in the first half, under 1.5 total goals in the first half, under 3.5 total goals, and for Mason Mount to register less than 0.5 shots on target. Compared to Northstar Bets and LeoVegas that also offer pre pack combos, Betrivers’ are definitely more extensive and exciting.

When it comes to what BetRivers could improve, we’d have to start with the app’s interface. It’s a little clunky, and is probably the main reason they’re at 12 on our lists. We were also disappointed to not see as many payment methods as on Sports Interaction for example.

    DraftKings Sportsbook App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Plenty of same game parlay functionality

Great range of bets for NBA, NHL, NFL

Dedicated sections for play-offs & championships

    Minimal website design

Minimum withdrawal was a little high

    Get Draftkings Ontario App

    DraftKings Ontario App Review

The entry of DraftKings’ Sportsbook app was one of the most anticipated in Ontario. The app functions really well, and is best highlighted by the range of same game parlay options, the number different bets for the NBA and NHL, and the dedicated sections for playoffs and championships. We also really liked DK social, and we were impressed by the sheer range of sports and leagues that were available across the site.

DraftKings’ same game parlays are great. To start, they have a dedicated same game parlay tool, which you can click to view all the options you can use to start building your parlay. Say you were betting on the Panthers against the Knights, You could bet on the money line, and add total goals, puck line and any time goalscorers lines to the same bet. So you could bet on the Panthers to win, for there to be under 3.5 goals, and for Matthew Tkachuk to score any time. We also liked that you could use the Quick SGP option, which allows you to bet on a variety of pre-built combos.

We also need to highlight the range of bets available for the sports that garner the most attention in Canada. We saw plenty of different categories, including race to, player points, H2H player props, and player combos, and within them the options were endless. While the bets for all North American sports were all worthy of a mention, but the options for the NBA were especially impressive.

While we spoke at length about how much we liked the parlays and same game parlays, we have to note that there was a downside attached to them too. These features can crash, and not work, which can be highly frustrating, especially around play off season. We also felt that the customer support could be a little more responsive, and that the minimum withdrawals were a little high.

    Fanduel Sportsbook Appin Ontario

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Boosts available every day

✅ Huge catalogue of bets for the NBA

✅ Good odds for college sports

❌ App crashes from time to time

❌ Range of hockey bets could improve

    Get the Fanduel App

    Fanduel Sportsbook App Ontario Review

Fanduel was among the most anticipated sportsbooks to enter the legal Ontario gambling market. Like DraftKings, Fanduel had built up a strong brand from their daily fantasy sports offering in North America. Fanduel’s app is great if you like boosts, a lot of NBA bets, and college sports. Fanduel’s app isn’t the best when it comes to regular crashes and hockey bets.

Our main highlight on Fanduel’s app were the boosts, which are made available to users every day. When we checked the site, we saw a boost given for a Europa League game which listed Youssef En-Nesyri and Tammy Abraham to each record 1+ shots on target. The odds for this initially were +135, but were boosted all the way up to +180, which is pretty impressive.

We also liked that Fanduel had such a big range of bets for NBA games. Aside from spreads, totals and money lines, you get the chance to bet on the first basket, as well as the method of the first basket, and you can bet given players to score 10+ points. Fanduel also make same game parlays available, and indicate which markets are included in the same game parlays. We also really enjoyed their quick bets section, which you can add to your bet slip and confirm when you’re in a hurry.

As for what we felt could be improved, Fanduel has received quite a lot of complaints when it comes to the app’s tendency to crash. A number of users commented that they had experienced regular crashes, which is pretty disheartening. We also thought that the range of bets for hockey could improve. We compared the range of bets for basketball, and hockey, and we noticed that there were far more bets on basketball. While that may suite NBA bettors just fine, it might leave those of you that like a lot of bets on the NHL a little dissatisfied.

    Rivalry App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Great selection of esports markets

❌ Lacks the range of sports found on other betting apps

    ❌ Lacks any memorable features

    Rivalry App Overview

Rivalry’s app is a fantastic option for Esports bettors, and is arguably the best in Ontario alongside Betway. There are over 20 different titles, all with live streaming and even some same game parlays. But this is where Rivalry goes downhill.

The lack of a full sportsbook and the lack of features make this app forgettable, and this is why we’ve put it low down on the list, even though we think it is actually a nice looking app, and easy to use.

    Pointsbet App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Great odds for North American sports

✅ 4.7 ranking on the app store

    ❌ Support could be improved

    ❌ Limited payment options

    Get Pointsbet's App

    Pointsbet Ontario App Review

Pointsbet entered the Ontario gambling market with a bang. In the beginning, they joined up with the Trailer Park Boys to get the word out that their innovative sportsbooks were headed to Ontario. Their overall offering doesn’t disappoint.

The first highlight for us were the odds they make available for the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB. For other sports, their odds are okay, but for North American sports, Pointsbet’s odds rival the likes of Bet365 and LeoVegas. Another highlight for us were the features that Pointsbet offer up. The range of same game parlays that were available were impressive, and we really enjoyed the pick your own markets, where you could set your own customized alternate points totals. We also loved the teasers bets they offered, which gave users the option to pick their own spreads and totals. In a game between the Celtics and Miami in the NBA play-offs, we saw as many as 46 different outcomes available when picking your own spread, and 60 outcomes when picking your own totals.

Another highlight about Pointsbet’s app was just how easy it was to use. Similar to LeoVegas, Pointsbet is another sportsbook that is mobile first, and has put a lot of time into ensuring that their app is the centrepiece of their platform. Everything from signing up and depositing to placing bets and withdrawing your winnings, betting with Pointsbet’s app is a breeze.

There were of course areas where we felt Pointsbet could improve. First was with their support. Their live chat was powered by a bot that is only programmed to give the simplest of answers, and their email address was pretty unresponsive. We also weren’t fans of the fact that users didn’t have the best range of payment options to choose from.

    BetMGM App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

✅ Great app for live betting

✅ Pre-built same game parlays available

✅ Wide range of correct score options for NHL

❌ Complaints about the app being slow

❌ Withdrawal process can be challenging

    BetMGM Ontario App Review

BetMGM’s app offers live betting, same game parlays, and correct score bets well, while fails to offer a good user experience on the app. We’ve also seen comments from users that raised our eyebrows about withdrawing with MGM.

To get into a little more detail, in-play sports bettors will lick their lips at what MGM offers up. We’re talking live streams and virtual feeds, comprehensive stats giving you the full picture, and live odds that are clearly laid out. The same game parlays are another talking point for us. MGM offers Pre built parlays, which include three selections for a given game. You may find a totals, points spread, and triple double markets, all included into one bet. You can also build your own same game parlay, which lets you decide the different selections you’ll end up betting on.

Another thing we liked was the bets you can make on the NHL. Specifically, MGM’s correct score bets on the NHL. We counted 42 different potential outcomes, along with a bet available for any other score. You’re also able to make this bet on different periods. When seeing this, we felt much better than when we saw the below par NHL bets on Fanduel.

With where BetMGM could improve, our first comment must touch on the app’s functionality. It’s slow, it crashes, and since this is a page comparing the best betting apps in Ontario, it’s the main reason they’re listed so far down. Another thing was the withdrawal process. When we checked out comments on the app store, we saw a lot of people complaining about either not getting their money, or having to wait really long to get it. We had no issues when we tried to withdraw, but knowing others have had issues made us a little weary. Go with Sports Interaction if you’re worried about withdrawal issues with MGM.

Ontario Sports Betting Apps to Avoid

Similar to Sergio Leone’s the good the bad and the ugly, we have the best, the good, the average, and those to avoid. Same same but very different.

The betting apps listed below are ones we feel you should avoid. While they’re licensed and available in Ontario, they simply don’t cut it and aren’t really worth your time.

Regardless, the list of Ontario sports betting apps to avoid includes thescore.bet app, Rivalry’s app, Comeon’s betting app, Party Poker’s sports betting app, and Fallsview Social’s betting app.

    Comeon! App in Ontario

    Pros & Cons

Best site for personal jackpot games

Play Crazy Time, Book of Dead, and more!

    No sports offered in Ontario

    App can lag & crash

    Get the Comeon! App

    Comeon! App Ontario Review

Comeon is the only traditional sports betting operator that does not offer sports bets to users in Ontario. You can only play casino on their app. Go with LeoVegas to get a good mix of sports and casino instead.

We don’t love that Comeon doesn’t give users the chance to bet on sports in Ontario. I mean, this is a page listing all the betting apps in Ontario after all. We do know that some of you are interested in casino apps, and that’s why we’re listing them here. There’s no other casino in Ontario that does a better job of offering personal jackpot games, and users are given a plenty of games to choose from, include Crazy Time and Wheel of Fortune, to Book of Dead and Gonzo’s Quest.

We’ve already highlighted our biggest issue with Comeon - no sports. We’re not happy about this, but it is what it is. As for the other thing we didn’t like, Comeon’s Ontario app has been a bit laggy and has tended to crash when tried to use it, so overall, we’d recommend going for something different.

    Pros & Cons

    ✅ Over 1700 casino games

✅ Releases new games every week

    ❌ No sports

    ❌ No telephone support

    Get the Casumo App

    Casumo Ontario App

Casumo’s app is a good option for players that are looking for a site to play online casino on. While Casumo has traditionally offered a sportsbook as part of their offering, in Ontario, they have opted to only acquire a license that covers their casino.

What we liked about the app was the promise to providing new casinos as frequently as possible. On top of their 1700+ casino games that are available in Ontario, they work consistently to ensure that number grows. Some games can enjoy have fun, space, or television inspired themes, such as Starburst and Peaky Blinders. You also have the option to play a wide range of table games, such as blackjack, roulette, craps, poker, and many more.

We of course weren’t fans of the fact that Casumo’s Ontario app didn’t offer up any sports. The other issue we had was the fact that Casumo’s customer support was lacking. We weren’t able to reach a customer support representative via telephone, and when we tried to email, the wait times were a little longer than we would’ve liked.

The Score.bet is one of the few betting operators to offer only an app (no desktop site). We expected that since this was the case, the app would be stellar, but it simply isn’t. The live game tracking is nice, but a lack of betting lines, and a buggy app relegates this betting app to the list of betting apps in Ontario to avoid.

Party Poker sports. The name says it all. This betting operator is mainly focused on poker and casino, and the sportsbook’s app shortcomings are clear for all to see. While there are a decent number of betting options available, especially for soccer, that was the only positive we could find.

The app has a lot of bugs, you’ll need to download separate apps for their different platforms, and in all honesty, it doesn’t really have any pop or wow factor. We recommend other betting apps.

How we’ve ranked the Ontario Betting apps

    Odds

We put the odds of all the betting apps listed here through a margin calculator, which provides us insight into how generous betting apps are.

The higher the margins offered, the more money you win if your bet comes off, so for us, this is a key measure of betting app quality.

    Features

Features are important, we check them by navigating through the app as we make bets, to see if there are any perks that can elevate the betting experience. One of our favourites is Pointsbet’s name-a-bet feature, along with Bet365's bet builder.

    Betting Lines

Betting lines or betting markets are the numbers of different bets offered for a certain event/s. The more betting lines available, the more options you have, and for us, the more options, the better.

    User experience

User experience reports are built upon how we felt when using the app whilst we placed some bets. While this can be a subjective experience, things like app load speed, navigation, and ease with which bets are placed are the key things we look at, along with reviews on the app store from other players.

    Functionality (iOS/Android)

For the functionality test, we check whether or not a given betting app is available on the iOS app store, and the Google Play Store. Most apps are available on both, but we think it’s best to check just in case.

    Security

For the security test, we check to see how an app affected our phone when we downloaded it. All betting apps are safe and secure, but we thought the best way to test this was to download the apps for ourselves first and report back to you.

What is the best betting app in Ontario?

In our humble, yet expert opinion, it’s Betway, but Betway is closely chased by Casears Sportsbook app, and Bet365’s app.

The truth is, you won’t go wrong with either of these three, but Betway is our favourite as it’s reliable, easy to use, and has so many sports and betting lines to choose from.

Check out our minute review of Betway’s app here.

How many betting apps are there in Ontario?

As it stands there are 16 sports betting apps in Ontario, with a few more promising to enter soon.

There are a few casino sites too, that don’t offer sports, and four that offer mobile sportsbooks, but no apps.

Are betting apps legal in Ontario?

They are! The safe and regulated sports betting act, passed back in August 2021 means that each of Canada’s provinces can regulate themselves, and Ontario jumped on that opportunity to create a fully regulated sports betting market.

All the apps found on this page are legal in Ontario, but if you want to do your own digging, also look out for the iGaming Ontario logo, which you can find after our list of all Ontario sports betting apps.

Are Ontario betting apps available on Android?

They sure are! All the betting apps that are legal and available in Ontario are downloadable from the Google Play Store. No more having to worry about APKs and changing security settings on your android devices!

    1. Visit the sportsbook you’re interested in (with the help of our list)

    3. Click on the link that takes you to the app store/play store (usually this is found in the header of the screen when you create an account)
    4. Click on “GET” if you’re on the iOS app store or “INSTALL” if you’re on the Google Play Store
    5. Launch the app
    6. Sign in with the details you entered when you created your account
    7. Start betting!
Are Ontario sports betting apps safe?

Aside from the Fallsview social app, yes, all the betting apps in Ontario are safe.

We encourage you to be wary of Fallsview social because they have been accused of double billing some of their accounts.

Other than that one, all betting apps in Ontario are safe and secure, and work hard to keep your information and money safe!

Do all Ontario sportsbooks have apps?

Unfortunately not. As it stands, Royal Panda, Coolbet, Bwin and North Star Bets have all yet to release betting apps as part of what they offer.

Stay tuned though. Betting apps are going to be a huge part of betting in Ontario, so we expect these operators to develop, and launch betting apps sooner rather than later.
