Comeon has historically made a name for itself as a sportsbook, but after showing interest in acquiring the license in Ontario, they decided to launch a casino only iGaming product in the province. While it can be tricky for certain brands to become successful when changing focus, Comeon have managed to do a good job, featuring a wide range of newly released games.

As for where Comeon could improve, we felt that they could offer more in terms of exclusive, personalized games. For example, with Bwin, you can play a custom-made Bwin rush game. The launch of Caesars’ online sportsbook and casino was one of the most anticipated in Ontario, and for good reason. The brand has been providing experiences to users for decades, and their online platform does not disappoint. As for where Caesars could improve, we think that they should work on addressing their app for iPad users. Our Thoughts

Another heavyweight casino, the MGM brand is well known and respected in the industry for being a source of quality entertainment. BetVictor’s platform is known for being easy to use and responsive. The book has become a fan favourite for all those who have used it due to the reasons just mentioned. Their online casino may not be as big of a focus as their sportsbook, but users looking for the best of both worlds will be well served by this operator.

The first thing we liked about BetVictor’s platform were the range of instant win games they made available. When it comes to where BetVictor’s casino could improve, BetVictor’s casino app does not function as well as the sportsbook app functions. It’s a little slow, and can be a bit unresponsive. Our Thoughts

Tooniebet offers one of the largest selection of games to choose from in Ontario. For those who enjoy slots, you'll find over 3,000 games to browse from, including popular titles like Gates of Olympus and Big Bass Bonanza. The jackpot selection also provides many games to choose from by over 90 providers.

What really stood out for us was the variety of live casino games, such as Speed Roulette, Quantum Roulette, or Mega Roulette. The selection also provides all the expected game types, like Sic Bo, Blackjack, Baccarat, and more. Poker minimums are also fair with most accepting $0.50 entries, with a max usually set around $3,500.

The weekly and monthly tournaments hosted by Tooniebet were also fun to play in, usually centered around popular slots and live dealer games, with the leaderboards lead by users with the highest scores.

The only real shortcoming of Tooniebet is the initial account verification process after creating an account. The process can take up to two days and may lead to complications with withdrawals before verification is completed. Payment processing is also only available on week days.

We did however feel that Betway could improve the withdrawal process they make available, as several users have complained about the fact that withdrawals tend to take quite long. Customer service could also be improved, as when users have experienced slow withdrawal times, they have also complained that the customer service department was not particularly responsive.

You can enjoy exclusively offered game show games, craps, live dealer baccarat, poker, and more.

As for where we felt that DraftKings could improve, we felt that while they provided a range of exclusive table games, there was more variety of these types of games available elsewhere. We also felt that if DraftKings would want to improve their casino offering, they should partner with more casino providers.

Hard Rock Bet is one of the newer online casinos available to those in Ontario. Hard Rock also offers a decent selection of exclusive slots you won't find elsewhere. These include Hard Rockin Reels, Iron Eagle Power Combo, PPower Chords rising Rewards, and more. VIP programs are also automatically applied to all users, where players can earn level credits and unity points with every wager placed in the sportsbook and casino, providing extra value for those active on both sides of the platform.

We would have liked to see more table games made available however. The selection is a lot shorter than most online casinos, with games like Sic Bo missing. Payout speeds vary depending on the payment option, which can take anywhere from 1-5 business days to process.

Our Thoughts

BET99’s online casino site offers up a well organized lobby that was a breeze to navigate through. This cannot be said about all other online casino sites that are available throughout the province.

Other highlights we had with BET99’s casino site was the fact that they were partnered with more than 20 different gaming providers. This simply ensures that you’re able to enjoy a wider variety of games than what is available on some other Ontario casino sites. For example, DraftKings offers a lot of exclusive casino games, but does little to partner with more gaming providers. We feel that BET99 is better in this regard.

BET99 also offers up real dealer games, which is the name they give to their live dealer games. They offer a number of different themed games, ranging from Spooky and Christmas themed roulette games, to “turbo” and “multifire” roulette games. Possibly the biggest perk about BET99’s casino is the fact that they are one of the few casinos to offer up lottery games for users. You’re able to play some of the world’s biggest powerball lotteries with BET99, which can’t be said for the rest of the casino sites in Ontario.

As for where BET99 could improve, we felt that the overall experience provided by their casino could improve with the presence of an app. We also felt like BET99’s online casino could benefit from some more exclusive games on the site.

The first thing that stood out for us with Bet365’s casino was all the information they provide their users off the bat. If you find yourself a game that look interesting, simply hover over it to view the RTP information (Return to Player), as well as the max win, and the number of times it had been played in the last couple of hours. We also liked that there was quite a wide variety of different live dealer games available, including roulette, poker, blackjack, and baccarat. Bet365 also offer a dedicated page for video poker, and make slot games such as Buffalo Blitz, Sahara Riches, and many more available.

As for where Bet365’s online casino could improve, we felt that it could take a few notes out of Bet99’s casino, which was much easier to navigate and to choose games from. Bet365’s casino layout was a little confusing, and hard to interact with. We also didn’t like that we couldn’t find the likes of 9 masks of fire, along with some other very popular slot games that are available elsewhere.

Wheel of Fortune has one of the largest selection of slots, with more than 5,000 to choose from. The variety doesn't stop at slots, casino players will also find 49 table games to browse and 103 live dealer titles to consider. For users looking for variety or niche slots, Wheel of Fortune is a great place to look.

Wheel of fortune also has a solid selection of exclusive games offered, including some BetMGM branded titles and Wheel of Fortune themed slots. We really liked the daily Wheel of Fortune Puzzle which allows free chances to play. 

Our main criticism only really applies to the desktop platform, which is a bit confusing to navigate and load slowly on certain pages. The app runs a lot smoother and loads games faster in comparison.

More things we liked about Betano’s online casino included the range of game show themed games they made available, as well as blackjack, roulette, game shows, snakes and ladders, and baccarat. We also liked to see the interactive element provided by Betano, as they offer up a range of tournaments and competitions, as well as plenty of specials.

Issues we had with Betano’s site included the lack of real poker. Our Thoughts

Northstar Bets is one of the few brands to have launched after the regulation of online gambling in Ontario, and is already providing an impressive range of options for both online casino and sports betting. Fanatics is an interesting online casino option in Ontario. The variety of games for slots, live dealers, and table games are much more limited than other sites. Despite the smaller selection of games, Fanatics does partner with popular providers like NetEnt and Red Tiger, offering popular slot titles you'd expect to see on any online casino. 

The most appealing aspect of Fanatics comes from their FanCash system, which awards users with credits through regular casino activity which can then be used to access additional rewards. It does provide additional value in the long run that otherwise isn't accessible on other online casinos.

The VIP and loyalty programs work well alongside the FanCash system, which makes it especially useful for users who expect to remain active on Fanatics in the long-run. The low minimum deposit of $10 also makes Fanatics more accessible for lower stake players and the casino also imposes zero fees on withdrawals.

We really liked that they made the Trailer Park Boys’ favourite games available, so that you’re able to have the chance to play what those legends play.

We also really enjoyed the range of Megaways slots games available, as these games simply give you the chance to win plenty. Pointsbet also give users separate lobbies for card and table games which include games such as roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. We were also pleased to see that Pointsbet offer up a section dedicated to video poker, which was one better than what was available on Betano.

As for where Pointsbet could improve, we would have liked to have seen them partner with a couple more gaming providers, to simply increase the variety of options they make available. We were also disappointed to see that the smash hit game “Book of Dead” was nowhere to be seen on Pointsbet’s platform.

Powerplay’s another platform that has been active in Canada long before Ontario’s regulatory framework was set in motion. Powerplay’s known for offering an easy-to-use book, with a casino that does a decent job of offering a good range of games.

As for where Powerplay could improve, we would have liked to have seen a casino app available, and we weren’t happy to see that we couldn’t play Book of Dead, which has emerged as one of the most popular casino games available in Ontario at the moment.

The issues we had with the casino, included the fact that the casino app can crash and log you out from time to time. We also didn’t feel that 888casino was particularly beginner-friendly, as it lacks some beginner prompts and how-to-play information. This can in turn lead to issues early on, such as putting too much money down, and so on.

Our Thoughts

Stardust Casino is one of the easier online casinos to navigate, both on desktop and through its highly rated mobile app. Games can be filtered by provider, slot type and other categories, making it easy to browse the more than 1,200 casino games available. This includes 12 exclusive titles, such as Cleopigtra's Bass Catch Megaways, giving players plenty to explore.

We were particularly impressed with the live dealer selection, which includes game shows, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, sic bo and more. The mobile app was also enjoyable to use, something reflected in its strong 4.6 rating on the App Store. 

Our main gripe was with Stardust's withdrawal speeds, particularly as faster payout times are reserved for members of its VIP program. We would also have liked to see a wider range of payment methods, with the casino currently limited to just four options.

Our Thoughts

Bwin’s another big brand that was early to enter the regulated Ontario gambling scene. The brand has been around for ages, and offers up an impressive sportsbook and casino for users out there looking for an all-in-one online gaming experience.

We liked that Bwin offered up a range of exclusive games that couldn’t be found anywhere else, such as their Bwin Rush game as well as their Luck of Love, Rainbow Gems, and Solar Flare games. We also liked seeing that they have a range of exclusive games available such as King of Olympus, and we looked to see the way all games were categorized, as there were so many options available.

Things about Bwin’s casino that we thought could have improved included their lack of a casino app, as well as the fact that the casino site could take quite a while to load from time to time. If Bwin were to invest some time and resources into ensuring that their casino offered up a better user experience, their platform would definitely rise up on our lists.

Our Thoughts

BetRivers’ brand was made popular in the US, so their entry into Ontario’s regulated market felt like a natural next step in their progression. BetRivers’ platform has become known for its usability, as well as offering plenty of casino related info to help newer users on their journey. We also enjoyed seeing that they listed users that had recently won, and the amount their bet had multiplied (while keeping user information safe).

We also liked to see that they listed some of their more valuable games with the payout rates, as well as the maximum won bets visible. We also liked that BetRivers partners with such a wide range of gaming providers, giving users more of a variety than what is available on other online casino sites.

As for where we felt BetRivers could improve, the site could be better organized, especially for a site that appears to work hard on its interface. We just felt that BetRivers’ site was a little overloaded with rolling banners, prompts and games, and didn’t have a good navigation aid. Some users have also complained that processes surrounding deposits and withdrawals weren’t the best, and we feel this is a crucial area for BetRivers to work on if they want to improve overall.

Our Thoughts

Sports Interaction offers an impressive catalogue of games, including the likes of Lara Croft Temples & Tombs, Spell Binding Mystery, and Hellvis Wild. We were also impressed with the number of different casino game categories they made available. You can choose from the more regular categories such as video poker and blackjack, to categories like Age of the Gods, as well as Fire Blaze.

Sports Interaction’s casino also provides a wide range of table games and live dealer games for users to choose from. On their site, you can find dozens of different options for roulette, including live roulette, football roulette, Greek roulette, and plenty of other options. Similar to DraftKings, you’re able to play different themed blackjack games as well, including different sport themed games, along with video poker, and live dealer poker to top it all off.

Areas we felt Sports Interaction could have improved were with the lack of a casino app, or any app for that matter. Another issue we had, was the lack of new games which were better offered elsewhere. Sports Interaction do provide new games, we just would have liked to have seen a few more.
