Betway is our top sportsbook pick in Canada. The usability, soccer, and esports options stand out most. Betway could improve the odds it offers, and tends to restrict winnings accounts, which should also be improved. Betway received the Ontario license, making it legal in the province, and is also available throughout the rest of Canada as well.

Bet99 offers the best player prop bet selection in Canada, along with same game parlays for NBA, NFL & soccer, and provides hockey stats pulled directly from the NHL. Overall, Bet99 offers better odds than other betting sites, making it a worthy choice even if there are a few areas that still could be improved, but the addition of a mobile app and improved live streaming has certainly improved Bet99 in Canada.

- Same Game Parlays for esports
- Live streaming all events
- 20+ esports titles
- 'Academy' for esports betting tips
- App only on iOS
Rivalry has made a name for itself as one of the best eSports betting sites in Canada, with one of the biggest selections of games and lines you can wager on. And while they are positioned as an eSports dedicated betting site, Rivalry does also feature a reasonable selection of sports markets and even a cool retro style online casino.
Overall, Rivalry is a fantastic choice for bettors looking to dive into the world of eSports, as you can bet on a huge number of markets and enjoy watching live directly on the betting site. The sports betting is a bit disappointing, and there are plenty of better options in Ontario, but that has never been Rivalry's focus. What they do offer is delivered exceptionally well, and we expect them to grow in popularity by adding more sports and continuing to have one of the strongest eSports offerings in the country.

Sharp punters bet with Pinnacle because they take low margins on their odds, allowing bettors to turn over a better profit over time if they are successful with their wagers. Pinnacle allows for higher limits across all sports and markets.

Alex’s favourite esports betting site
My personal favourite for esports betting has to be Betway. I really like the esports focus they have on the site, and I predominantly bet on CS:GO, so the fact that they don’t offer as many other titles doesn’t really affect me too much.
The live-streaming, wider range of in-play bets, along with solid esports odds, are more reasons why I’ll keep using Betway for esports.
Ben’s favourite esports betting site
While I usually like to make use of Bet365 for my bets, I like LeoVegas for esports betting. I especially like to use their mobile site for esports betting, and the fact that the site comes with a number of nifty features such as streaming, handicap bet features, and kills per map bets.
It’s for these reasons that I’ll keep choosing LeoVegas for esports.

Esports betting in Canada
With more people becoming interested in esports betting, we here at My Betting Sites decided to present you with the top 10 betting sites for esports in Canada.
We’ve listed them from best to worst, and categorized them in three groups: the best esports betting sites, the average esports betting sites (good for punters that are interested in esports, but other sports as well), and the esports bookmakers that you should steer clear of.
You can navigate to the given section that interests by clicking on one of the grey buttons that can be found below:

The best esports betting sites in Canada
The following bookmakers are those that do the best job at prioritizing esports. We say this because they offer the best range of esports titles (games), the widest range of bets, along with other features (like exclusive odds, live-streaming, and live betting), that can take your esports betting experience to the next level.
The best Esports betting sites in Canada include Betway, Bet365, LeoVegas, and Bet99.

1. Betway Esports
Esports betting is best offered by Betway in Canada, which is no surprise as Betway tops our list of the best betting sites in Canada. The main strengths when it comes to this bookmaker include the range of live bets for esports that it makes available for users, as well as the number of live events it offers bets for. We compared the number of live bets it was offering compared to 888sport, and during the same time, Betway offered up 3 games while 888sport offered up 1.
Other perks of betting on Esports with Betway include the enhanced odds that are available across different titles, the live-streaming for esports, which is of a very high quality, and the range of bets users can make on CS:GO. You’re able to bet on the method of victory (such as bomb exploding, elimination, or more) which can't be done on other betting sites.
The only way we thought Betway could be better with their Esports is with the range of bets they make available for other esports titles, like League of Legends, Valorant, and Rainbow 6. With CS:GO, the number of options they make available is impressive, however, with this other games, they could improve. If you want a better range of titles, we would recommend Bet99.
Betway offers up some of the best in-play markets for CS:GO
2. Bet365 Esports
Bet365 is our second pick for Esports betting in Canada. Aside from high value Esports odds, Bet365 gives users the option to bet on teams to win at least 1 map, which is a market that we couldn’t find elsewhere.
Bet365 also offers users the option to bet on correct scores for specific maps on CS:GO. While betting on maps isn’t rare for Esports games, betting on correct scores for given maps if pretty unique. What sets Bet365 apart even more is their coverage of LoL bets, which include “race to” bets (for example, race to number of kills), along with kill handicaps, and 1st dragon to spawn on LoL too.
Similar to Betway, there was only one thing we think Bet365 could improve on, which was the fact that they don’t offer bets for Kings of Glory. If you’re interested in betting on Kings of Glory, we’d recommend going with Bet99.
Bet365 operates pursuant to an agreement with iGaming Ontario.
3. LeoVegas Esports
LeoVegas is also among the top Esports bookmakers in Canada, as their Esports offering doesn’t disappoint. With LeoVegas, you can bet on total rounds for CS:GO, along with kills per map. LeoVegas take it a step further with their esports options, by allowing users to bet on map and round handicaps, and even offers up their classic handicap slide feature that can come in very handy. LeoVegas’ impressive esports book is rounded out with live-streaming for CS:GO.
The only issue we have with LeoVegas’ esports offering was the lack of match kills bets. While there are a wide range of maps kills bets, we felt that LeoVegas could offer more than simply “most kills in the match”. We felt that they could potentially extend to markets like most kills in a specific map, most kills by knife, and so on. We would have to recommend Bet365 for their range of match kills bets ahead of LeoVegas.

Up above you can view the CS:GO streaming on LeoVegas, along with the handicaps bets on offer.
4. Bet99 Esports
Bet99’s sportsbook impresses once again when it comes to what it offers for esports. First up, Bet99 offers up the biggest range of esports titles in Canada.
Among these titles include:
- CS:GO
- League of Legends
- DOTA 2
- Rainbow 6
- Kings of Glory
- Valorant
& more!
What’s more is that Bet99 offers up bets for e-soccer and e-ice hockey, which means that you can bet on the video game versions of the sports you’ve been playing on video game consoles. Lastly, Bet99 offers up streaming for esports, which rounds out an impressive all round esports platform.
The only thing about Bet99 that we think could be improved from an esports perspective is the lack of in-play markets for live CS:GO games. Betway, for example, outperforms Bet99 in this regard. For example, when Fnatic played against Complexity in the IEM Katowice Group match up, Betway offered more markets.
If Kings of Glory is your preferred esports title, we would highly recommend betting with Bet99.
Average Esports Betting Sites
These esports betting sites are for the players that are largely interested in betting on other sports, but have a slight interest in gaming, and the esports community. The betting sites that have been compiled in this section cover esports, but don’t particularly prioritize them.
Our average esports betting sites picks are:
- BetVictor - Solid range of esports titles
- Pinnacle - Dedicated esports hub
- Rivalry - Same game parlays
Jump to an esports betting site review
5. Rivalry eSports
Rivalry is an eSports dedicated betting site available in Ontario, and they offer a very solid selection of titles and markets for casual and seasoned eSports bettors.
The most interesting feature they have is the Same Game Combo for popular titles, which lets you combine outcomes in the same event into a single wager. Alongside this they do have live streaming for most of the events, which can help you stay on top of the action.
We'd really like to see Rivalry create and Android app, and improve their live betting as they still fall short of some of the leading eSports brands in Canada.
6. Pinnacle Esports
Pinnacle’s mission to offering up the best odds margins in Canada extends to what they offer for esports. Pinnacle has a dedicated esports betting hub that contains statistics, live odds, and information surrounding past match ups and players that is more detailed than most other bookmakers.
Pinnacle also offers up users the ability to bet on teams and kills for League of Legends, while most other sportsbooks only offer money line bets for this game. Pinnacle’s promise to users for offering the best margins applies to Esports. Pinnacle offers up some of the best esports betting odds in Canada.
As for where Pinnacle could improve, the operator could offer up a betting app to offer esports betting on. The app Pinnacle currently offers only delivers live game tracking, but no odds. Another area Pinnacle could improve its esports offering is with streaming. The sportsbook currently offers up no streaming for esports. If you want to access esports streaming, we recommend Betway or LeoVegas.
Pinnacle's esports betting hub is a great way to get some inside information, view statistics and make some bets!
7. BetVictor Esports
BetVictor is another sportsbook that offers esports, but largely priorities other sports. For example, BetVictor does a terrific job of offering NBA betting, with one of the best builders in Canada for this sport. The bet builder that is offered for NBA, however, can not be found for Esports.
BetVictor does a decent job when it comes to esports is with the number of titles bets are offered for. On BetVictor, you can bet on
- League of Legends,
- Counterstrike
- Kings of Glory
- Starcraft II
BetVictor also enables you to bet on handicaps and correct scores on a wider range of titles compared to other sportsbooks.
Where BetVictor could improve is with the limited range of maps bets that are on offer. Most usually, sportsbooks offer maps bets for all three maps that esports teams will play on, but BetVictor only offers bets for two maps. We would recommend Bet365, and Betway for a better range of maps bets.

Esports Betting Sites to avoid
Now that you’ve seen the good, and the average esports betting sites, we thought we’d give you a heads-up on which bookmakers you should avoid using if you’re a fan of esports betting.
The two bookmakers listed below, Sports Interaction, and 888sport are largely decent betting sites for other sports, but simply do no offer enough to be considered competitive esports betting sites.
9. Sports Interaction Esports
Sports Interaction isn’t the best book for Esports. The sportsbook only provides money line bets for esports match ups, which we found to be quite disappointing. The lack of options, mixed with other issues like no live-streaming, are why we don’t recommend this sportsbook for Esports betting.
Best Esports Alternatives SIA
10. 888sport Esports
Similar to the issues surrounding esports betting with Sports Interaction, 888sport simply doesn’t offer enough betting markets to be competitive with the best esports betting sites in Canada. We liked that you could place money line and handicap bets on 888, but the lacking esports titles, and all round lacking markets hold it back.

What makes a top Esports betting site?
When deciding which esports betting site to register with, there are lots of things to consider.
Esports is offered on most online betting sites in Canada, but some go deeper and feature more titles than others.
The betting odds are also key. You should be seeking the best prices and payout percentages, so it is worth scanning through a number of sportsbooks and getting an idea of where you can find value.
Convenience and user experience is also key. If you bet a lot whilst you are on the move, you might want a betting site with a great mobile app. Deposit methods should also be considered.
Esports betting markets
Simply put, the more betting markets, the more bets you get to make. Esports, and all the games that fall within this category can lead to a range of outcomes, so we appreciate a book that lists as many of these outcomes as possible.
Be on the lookout for maps bets, handicaps, kills, method of victory and more. Esports bookies that offer these markets are the real deal. Our favourites for Esports markets include Betway and Bet365.
Different ways to bet on esports
- Match Winner
As is the case with many other sports on online betting sites, you can simply bet on who will win between two teams or competitors. When you visit the esports betting section of any sportsbook, the match winner odds for the main matches will usually be presented straight away.
- Handicap
By wagering on the handicap market, you are giving one of the teams a head start, and then choosing which team will win with that handicap applied.
- Maps
Many Esports titles are centred around games taking place across a number of maps, and you can bet on the winner of each map.
- Total over/under
You can pick the over or under on the total number of maps that take place during a match. If a match is close and goes down to the last couple of maps, then the total maps number is higher than if there is a whitewash.
- Outrights
Each esports tournament or league can have a different format, and you can, in some instances, back a team to win an overall tournament or group. You may also be able to back a team to finish in the top 3.
Esports betting odds
Simply put, the better the odds, the better the betting site. Better odds mean bigger winnings, and who doesn't want bigger winnings?
Of course, there is no such thing as a betting site with the best odds on every single market. If they have a high payout rate on lots of the markets that they offer, then you are more likely to find value with them than a more stingy bookie.
By comparing prices for the same markets across a selection of betting sites, you can get an idea of who has the best payout rate. It is easier to compare by using markets in which there are two potential outcomes, each with around an equal chance.
How to compare Esports betting site payout % with Ben
Let's say you want to bet on the total number of kills in the first map of a Dota2 match.
The line is set at 45.5, and each betting site agrees that this is the line. If you bet the 'over', you need there to be 46 or more kills in the map in order to win. If you take the 'under', you need there to be 45 or less.
The odds are the same for each outcome, but the price is never going to be +100 (2.00) for each of them, because the betting site needs to take its cut - think of it as the house edge.
Some betting sites may have each option priced at -120 (1.83). This is pretty standard, not bad but not great. The payout percentage in this instance is 91.5%.
Esports betting sites with a higher payout rate may have the odds for both 'over' and 'under' set at -110 (1.91). Here, the payout percentage is 95.5%, and by taking these odds you are going to be more profitable over time compared with taking the -120 odds.
Some bookmakers may even have a 97.5% payout rate, but this is rare, especially in Esports.
Esports betting features
Esports betting features, like tournaments, clubs, and specific pages dedicated to the category, can make a big difference in your betting experience. This is why we think this factor can hold some importance.
We also like to see an esports betting site with a lot of match up statistics, and information about teams, as this can help you decide which bets to make. For esports betting features, we liked Pinnacle, Betway and LeoVegas.
Esports live-streaming
Esports streaming can take your betting experience to the next level, and the positive thing about streaming esports match ups is the fact that these broadcasts are far easier to secure compared to a range of other sports.
Usually, if a betting site offer streaming for sports, that's a big win, but with esports, the lack of a streaming offer is what can set bookmakers apart, because esports streaming is usually so widely offered.
Our favourite sites for esports streaming include Betway, Bet365, LeoVegas and Bet99.
Esports in-play options
Since we value Esports live-streaming so much, it’s only natural that we place a lot of value on esports in play bets. In-play bets paired with live-streaming can be exceptionally fun, but the esports bookie needs to provide a good range of live bets for it to feel worthwhile.
We like Bet99, Betway, and Bet365 for the range of live in-play bets they offer for esports.
Esports Betting Sites Summary
When choosing an esports betting site, you should be mindful of what you’re looking for in the sportsbook you want to use for betting on gaming. If you’re looking for the best esports odds, we’d recommend Bet365 and Pinnacle. If you’re looking for streaming and in-play esports bets, we’d recommend going with Betway. If you’re looking for bets on a number of esports titles, Bet99 would be your best bet.
If you’re looking to start betting on esports, and you’re unsure of what to look for, take a look at our section on how we ranked esports betting sites, otherwise, sign up with a bookie, and start betting!

Bet365 does offer esports, and offers betting for this category very well. Bet365 comes in at 2nd on our list of top esports bookmakers.
Yes, all the betting sites barring Sports Interaction and Bet99 offer sports betting apps, which include options and markets for esports betting.
If you have an interest in gaming, and understand the games that professionals play on, then esports can be good to bet on.
That’s largely up to you, but for this question, we like to apply our golden rule: never bet more than you're willing to part with. Betting should be kept as a fun activity paired with watching and following your favourite sports.
This again largely depends on the types of games you like to play and follow. We’d also have to mention that CS:GO is probably among the best games to bet on because it’s usually the game that the most markets and options are offered for.
