We Compare the Best Soccer Betting Sites in Canada
Soccer, or ‘football’ as they like to call it across the Atlantic, is the undisputed biggest sport in the world. It is estimated that over half of the Earth’s entire population considers themselves a fan.
In Canada, soccer may be behind the likes of hockey, football (gridiron), baseball and basketball in terms of viewership, but it is still a massive market for gambling companies that accept Canadian players.
A lot of the betting sites used by Canadians are Europe-based, in countries where soccer is king.
There are absolutely loads of options when it comes to betting on soccer in Canada.
Best Soccer Betting Sites
Above, we’ve highlighted the best soccer betting features, and chosen a bookmaker that we felt was best for each feature.
Below, we go into more detail about why we’ve chosen each sportsbook for the given feature, and we’ve provided links to the given sportsbooks so that you can sign up and give them a try.
Best site for soccer odds
LeoVegas offers the best margins for soccer in Canada. Margins determine the amount of money you make, based on the odds, and LeoVegas consistently offer the lowest margins, which translate into the best odds. We can also recommend Bet365.
Best site for soccer markets
888sport offers plenty of good bets on soccer. Users can bet on money lines, as well as on yellow and red cards, total corners (in the full game, or in a given half), and 888sport gives users the ability to track popular bets through their bet feed feature.
Best site for soccer streaming
Offering up a range of streaming for some of the biggest soccer leagues in the world, Bet365 is by far the best sportsbook for soccer streaming. Other sportsbooks make streaming available for smaller leagues, but Bet365 offers up streaming for bigger leagues too.
Best soccer betting app
Betway’s app is the best for betting on soccer. Markets are clearly laid out, and odds for different outcomes are clearly advertised. We were also glad to see a 4.7 ranking on the app store, which confirms that most users are kept very happy with Betway’s app.
Top 5 Soccer Betting Sites Reviewed
Bet365 Soccer
Bet365 is the overall best sportsbook for soccer in Canada. To sum it up, they have the best odds, the most bets and the best range of live streams. Bet365 also generate special bets every day for each of the major leagues, making parlays and same game parlays easy to view and bet on.
To expand on what we liked, we'll start with the odds. We measure odds whenever we review betting sites to see which ones offer the best value. We often use Bet365’s odds as the gold standard. Very rarely do other sportsbooks offer better odds.
In terms of the bets available, Bet365 is in a league of its own. Bet365 literally offers thousands of different bets for different soccer games. You’re also able to build your own bets, with access to a top of the line, customizable same game parlay tool. For example, you can bet on Manchester City to win, Erling Haaland to score, and for the game to finish with more than 2.5 goals scored. Bet365 also makes pre-set same game parlays available, and can also offer users regular boosts on big game days. You’re also able to bet on Asian handicaps, game results after 10 minutes and player props.
The only thing about Bet365’s soccer that could improve would be the cash-out offers on soccer. We felt the cash-out offers could be a little more generous. If you like using the cash-out feature, and want to find better offers, we’d recommend Betway.
Bet365 operates pursuant to an agreement with iGaming Ontario.
Betway Soccer
Betway is our second sportsbook pick for soccer betting in Canada. To summarize what we like about their sportsbook for soccer, we’d have to start with the sophisticated bet builder. We also like the range of bets available, as well as the daily soccer specials and boosts.
If we expand on what we like about Betway’s soccer, aforementioned bet builder is definitely something that stands out. Once you’ve selected an upcoming soccer game, you can click on the bet builder button, which takes you to a tab with plenty of options. Along the top end of the visible options, you can enter your stake, and as you add selections, you can see the amount you could get in return if your bet turns out to be a winner.
We also really liked the pre-built bets. For example, when we checked Brighton against Newcastle, we could be on over 9.5 corners in the game, and for Bright to get over 1.5 cards. We didn’t have to manually make these selections, we were simply able to select the odds, and move from there. We were also big fans of the boosts, which are usually reserved for bigger games, and we liked the option such as “team to win from behind”, and “team to get a clean sheet”.
One issue with Betway’s soccer offering were the odds on offer. You can find much better odds on Bet365 and LeoVegas. That aside, Betway soccer offering is up there with the best.
888Sport Soccer
888sport offers up a unique soccer betting experience, as it makes a wider range of different features available compared to other sportsbooks. To summarize what we liked about 888sport, we enjoyed the bet tracking features, unique 888 specials, the bets on corners and cards, and the “made for you” that suggest bets for you to place based on your past selections.
We really liked their “Bet Feed” offering, which enables you to view the trending bets that other 888sport users are making. You can view if people are opting to bet on Man City to win their upcoming game, or for Real Madrid’s next game to consist of more than 1.5 goals, and so on. The made for you section assesses the bets you’ve made and suggests bets you may be interested in, which can be a really handy time saver. Lastly the 888 specials, which include a prediction game, can be a fun way to enjoy different types of bets on soccer, with massive payouts potentially up for grabs.
Other things we enjoyed about 888sport’s platform were the different bets we could make, ranging from bets on total corners, to bets on specific cards.
Lastly, where 888sport’s soccer offering could improve is with the live betting it has on offer. The odds aren’t always displayed in the clearest way, and there was no live-streaming to be seen which we felt could be improved upon.
LeoVegas Soccer
LeoVegas is the fourth-best soccer betting sportsbook in Canada. While this operator initially made its name as an online casino, it has become one of the best sportsbooks in Canada, and offers a great platform for users looking to bet on soccer. Having now partnered with Manchester City, it’s clear that LeoVegas is making moves to become one of the soccer betting heavyweights across North America and Europe.
As for what we like most, LeoVegas offers up one of the best soccer betting apps in Canada. The sportsbook is one of the few mobile first sportsbooks available in Canada. LeoVegas has also won mobile operator of the year in previous years, showing how popular their mobile website and app are. The thing we liked most about their soccer offering were the odds. We often cite Bet365 as the best for soccer betting odds, but LeoVegas is the only sportsbook that challenges them regularly, offering up better margins than them from time to time. Bets such as individual player shots and total offsides in a game are also added. If Man City are playing Fulham, you could build a bet that involved Erling Haaland to get more than 2.5 shots, and for the game to end with more than 3.5 offsides (since Mitrovic is Fulham’s frontman).
We also really enjoyed that LeoVegas had a bet builder with a decent range of customization features, and we loved that LeoVegas offers up some pre-set same game parlays that users can just go ahead and select.
The only thing about LeoVegas’ soccer sportsbook that we didn’t like was that the desktop site left us wanting. It’s not well laid out, which we found to be somewhat of an issue because betting on a desktop on soccer can be handy from time to time.

BetVictor Soccer
BetVictor has to be one of the most underrated sportsbooks in Canada. They have a lot of things going for them, especially the regular boosts they make available for big soccer games, as well as their market leading bet builder that can ensure plenty of customization when creating your own specially crafted bets.
To expand on what we liked, we’d have to start with the boosts that BetVictor make available, every day. They select a handful of popular games, such as when Man City faced Real Madrid in the Champions League, then they select an outcome, such as Man City to win, and then they inflate the odds given to that outcome, so that you have the chance to win more. They do this for a handful of upcoming games, every day.
The next highlight for us was their bet builder, which enables users to implement a higher level of customization than other soccer betting sites in Canada. BetVictor allows you to combine markets within the same game, and take it a step further by allowing you to decide from the widest range of potential outcomes that could occur. For example, you can bet on Liverpool to win, for Mo Salah to score anywhere between 1 and 3 goals, and for the game to finish with more than 3.5 goals total. We also really liked some different markets BetVictor made available. Not only do users have the option to bet on Asian lines, but can also bet on correct scores within the first 15 minutes. If you know Man City are coming up against Chelsea, and in their last few meetings, City have opened the scoring early with no reply, you may be inclined to use this market when betting on this game.
There were of course some things we didn’t like about BetVictor’s platform. The first was that the focus on this sportsbook is clearly on European soccer. The boosts available were great, but we couldn’t find anything available for North American soccer. We were also a little disappointed to see that the bet builder they offer is heavily focussed on NBA bets, as well as Premier League soccer. It’d be nice to see BetVictor diversify their bet builder a little more to other soccer leagues.

Soccer Betting Sites with Solid Options
If you’re here, you may be looking for good options that you may not yet have accounts on. Betway and Bet365 have been around in Canada for some time, which means that there are quite a few bettors out there that may be existing customers of these sportsbooks and are looking to try something new.
We can’t guarantee that you don’t have accounts with the sportsbooks listed below, but we can confirm that they are not as popular as the sportsbooks listed above, so we recommend checking them out to see if one of them feel like a good fit.
The soccer betting sites we recommend to users looking for a solid, new option are Royal Panda, Powerplay, Sports Interaction, NEO.bet & Pinnacle.
Royal Panda Soccer
Royal Panda is another casino provider that have developed, and have begun offering a sportsbook. Royal Panda is owned and operated by the same group that own LeoVegas, so their sportsbooks are very similar, with some differences being that Royal Panda doesn’t have an app, and that Royal Panda’s odds are inferior.
As for what we do like, Royal Panda’s range of bets for soccer is impressive. Players have everything from player cards and goalscorers to Asian lines to choose from. Royal Panda also makes bet builders available, allowing you to bet on Real Madrid to win, Benzema to score, and for the game to consist of more than 1.5 goals in an upcoming Champions League game for example. Other interesting bets you can make include bets on the first player to score, and, users can bet on match and team fouls. If you know that Man City are coming up against Everton for example, you can expect there to be a lot of fouls in the match, which can make betting on this market quite thrilling.
Some issues we had with Royal Panda included the lacking betting app. We also weren’t wild about the fact that the site looks and feels exactly like LeoVegas, without some of the best of what LeoVegas has to offer. LeoVegas consistently offers some of the best odds in Canada, but the same can’t be said for Royal Panda. LeoVegas also offers up one of the best soccer betting apps in the country, and without a betting app, Royal Panda falls slightly short.

Powerplay Soccer
Powerplay offers up a decent soccer betting site that we felt was best optimized for beginner soccer bettors. Some highlights included their create a bet feature, which was Powerplay’s answer to a bet builder, along with their feature that listed popular soccer bets among other Powerplay users on the site.
If we were to expand on the things we liked, we’d start with the create a bet feature. It offered something pretty unique compared to other bet builders. Instead of simply listing odds, users can alter the market and the result, through an intuitive dropdown feature. We hadn’t seen something like this on other soccer betting sites, and while some may take the less is more approach, we thought it was kinda nifty. For example, you can bet on Arsenal to bet Nottingham, but in the dropdowns you can choose whether they will do this in the full match, or in one of the halves.
Another thing we liked about Powerplay’s soccer betting site was that it listed the trending bets across the site. Similar to 888sport’s bet feed feature, Powerplay’s popular soccer bets can make a betting decision a little easier for anyone who might be a little unsure of which bets to make. We also really liked the fact that you could bet on which period you think a goal will be scored. If you know Marcus Rashford is known for scoring just before half-time, you can bet on there to be a goal scored within the 31-45 minute period. Lastly, we were impressed with the number of markets Powerplay made available for the MLS. That was another unique aspect of Powerplay’s platform, as most other sportsbooks offering soccer in Canada have less of a focus on MLS.
The two areas we felt Powerplay could improve were with the lack of cash out offers found across the site. We felt that Betway offered cash out for a wider range of games, and that their cashout offers were overall a little better. We also would have liked to have seen a more bets for all the soccer games on the site. Bet365, for example, offers far more soccer bets.
Sports Interaction Soccer
Canada’s very own Sports Interaction is another solid option for users looking for a soccer sportsbook that’s outside the main stream. We liked the randomized bets at insane odds, even though they were a little less likely to happen. Sports Interaction also offers Asian handicap bets, and offer a nice range of combo bets and individual lines.
If we expand on what we liked about Sports Interaction soccer offering, we were big fans of the piñata picks section, In a specific game, you can make a randomized bet on when a goal will be scored, and the odds that you’re given are 81.00 (+8000). We couldn’t find another sportsbook that offered up a boost or special quite like this.
We also really liked that you could bet on Asian handicaps, which can be super handy if Manchester City are playing Southampton in the Premier League, or if Real Madrid are playing a team like Club Brugge in the Champions League. These lines can be super handy when a heavyweight meets a minnow, and there is a heavy favourite.
Other things we liked were the match results and totals combos. Parlays aren’t a new thing in Canada, but Sports Interaction making these totals and match result combos available. If you know that Barcelona are playing Real Madrid, and you know both teams are in good form, and have been scoring goals left right and centre, the total goals and match result bets can come in handy. We also enjoyed the bets that were made available for both teams to score in each half.
There were some drawbacks associated with what Sports Interaction offered for soccer. For one, we didn’t like that the sportsbook didn’t offer a betting app. We also picked up that you have far more markets available on Bet365 compared to what is offered on Sports Interaction. The development of a betting app, and providing more soccer markets would see Sports Interaction rise up our lists.
NEO.bet Soccer
NEO.bet is a fairly new bookmaker, and launched its operations in Germany initially, and later entered the Canadian market. Their sportsbook offers up a something different to users in Canada, with a sportsbook design that we can’t quite tell whether we like or not.
As for what we did like about the sportsbook, NEO.bet offers up handy stats that are visible next to the soccer odds. Understanding a team’s form can help a lot when deciding whether you want to bet on them, and NEO.bet’s inclusion of this feature means you won’t need to look elsewhere for these statistics. We also liked that NEO.bet makes bets on goals and corners in each half available, and that they offer a solid app that functions well when you use it for soccer betting.
Other things we could highlight about NEO.bet’s sportsbook include the personal bet configurator (or bet builder), as well as the functionality the sportsbook includes when it comes to depositing and withdrawing with Interac. The bet builder was a highlight for us because you can select whether the additional selection you make is an “and”, or “or” bet. With “and” bets, all your selections need to win, while with “or” bets, only one of the selections you choose needs to come off. You could, for example, bet on Man City to win their next game, or for there to be more than 1.5 goals in a game. As far as Man City’s season going, one of these two things usually happens in a game.
As for what NEO.bet could do better, we felt that their fresh, and unique website layout was more of a hindrance than anything else. We also felt the odds weren’t quite up to par, especially with sportsbooks like LeoVegas and Bet365 available.
Pinnacle Soccer
Pinnacle offers up a good option for seasoned soccer betting winners. The biggest sell point with this sportsbook is that users are able to bet on the best odds with high stakes. The same applies for soccer. Pinnacle welcomes winning players, which is unique in Canada, as some sportsbooks tend to restrict winning players. We also liked the range of different bets Pinnacle makes available.
To expand on what we liked, we can’t move past how much we liked the fact that users can bet on the best odds, with high stakes. Offering up the best odds is something a handful of sportsbooks may boast, but Pinnacle, along with Bet365 and LeoVegas, is one of the few sportsbooks that actually does this.
As for the bets we really liked, we have to highlight the range of 3 way handicaps made available by Pinnacle. A three-way handicap is another word used for points spread, and what this means is that you can bet on a team to win, and for them to cover a certain number of goals during the game. For example, you can bet on Arsenal to win, and for them to win by a goal, or by more. Pinnacle makes a number of options available. We also liked their markets such as bet on a team to win with a clean sheet, as well as total goals range for given teams. This can be handy when betting on teams that are dominant. If you know a given team has an impressive defensive record, or if a team has a strong track record of winning games convincingly against their opposition, these two different markets can be fun.
Issues we had with Pinnacle included the overall lack of different markets. We know this may sound a little contradictory, since we highlighted some of their markets in our pros for their sportsbook. We liked the markets they offer, but on Bet365 you can bet on 300 different markets per game, while with Pinnacle, you only get around 60 per game. We also weren’t too happy to see the lack of boosts and specials that can be found on Betway for example.
Soccer Betting Sites that could improve
The soccer betting sites that appear in the list below are those that we only recommend if you’re fresh out of soccer betting options. If you’re from Ontario, we have a full list of betting sites that also offer soccer if you’re looking for something more.
Otherwise, the sites listed below could do an overall better job of offering soccer, but here they are nonetheless. The soccer betting sites that could improve in Canada include Bwin and Bet99.
Bwin Soccer
Bwin offers up a soccer betting site that all round we thought could improve. For a company that used to sponsor the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan, we expected a little more from them. The main issues we had with Bwin soccer included the lack of a betting app, along with the less than impressive soccer betting odds.
In terms of what the sportsbook did well, we couldn’t ignore the fact that Bwin offers up a unique multi generator for a range of different soccer leagues. The multi generator allows you to set the range of odds you’re interested in betting on, and then, Bwin churns out a 5-selection bet that you can easily add to your bet slip. For example, we changed the odds range from +200 to +900, and got bets ranging from leagues in Germany, to match ups in Australia.
We also liked the customizable bet builders that were available on games in major leagues. The bet builder reminded us of a less complete version of the one available on BetVictor, and even 888sport. For example, if you’re betting on Real Madrid, you can bet on Benzema to get more than 1.5 shots on target, Vinícius Jr. to score, and for the team to win. We were impressed with the level of customization available on the site, but this didn't make up for what we didn't like about this site. We think Bwin could significantly improve.
Bet99 Soccer
The last entry on the list is Bet99, and while we’re fans of their platform overall, they tend to drop the ball a bit when it comes to soccer. The main issues we had included the less than impressive bet builder that they offered for soccer, as well as the fact that they have yet to launch a sportsbook betting app. While some sources may state that Bet99 does in fact have a betting app, we couldn’t find one on the app store or play store, so we’d recommend steering clear if anything that resembles a Bet99 app if you haven’t found it on one of these platforms.
Other issues include the odds that Bet99 offers for soccer. For the most part, Bet99 offer pretty decent odds, especially for sports more popular in North America, however for soccer we were less than impressed.
With all that said, there were some things about Bet99’s soccer betting offering that were decent. First up, was their handy quick single betting feature. This allows users to quickly add their stake and place their bet without going through the sometimes cumbersome process of adding one selection to a bet slip, adding your stake and confirming your bet. When selecting the quick single betting option, users simply need to click the quick single betting option, and add their stake then and there. We also liked that Bet99 listed popular bets, but we thought 888sport did this better.
Getting Started with Soccer Betting
To get started with soccer betting in Canada, you need to be of legal age in your given province to access a betting site. In Ontario, BC, Saskatchewan, NW territories, Nunavut, Yukon, and the Atlantic Region, this is 19, while in Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta, this is 18.
You’ll also need access to the internet, and a bit of money, and you’ll need some information such as a social security number, contact information, and an address in order to create an account and to get started with a soccer sportsbook in Canada.
What’s up next
Next up, we’ll go through the steps of placing a money line bet on soccer. We’ve singled out this bet type because it’s the most common, as well as the easiest to get started with. The process also serves as the foundation of betting on other markets.
How to Bet on Soccer
Once you’ve found a soccer sportsbook from our list, you’ll need to create an account with them to start betting on soccer.
You'll need to fill out a bunch of personal details when creating an account, but it's all likely information you can recall from the top of your head. Once you’ve filled in all of your information, you can create your account.
If you’re happy with your current sportsbook, all you’ll need to do is log into your existing account.
Once you’ve logged into your account, you’ll need to navigate to the soccer bets that are being offered on the site. Since soccer is well offered by most sportsbooks, you can often find soccer events under the highlights tab on the sportsbook's homepage.
If you want to find more options, most sports are offered on the sidebar on desktop, or under “All Sports” or “Sports A - Z” on mobile. Simply click on the button that says soccer.
Once you’ve navigated to the soccer betting tab, you’ll need to go ahead and choose the league that you’re keen to bet on. We recommend betting on leagues that you have the most knowledge on.
For beginners, we recommend starting with leagues that are well known and that are easy to find information about on the web, such as the EPL, and MLS. If you’re a bit more experienced, it can be fun to bet on lower leagues, as there is usually a lot of value on offer for these leagues.
Once you’ve found the league you’re keen to bet on, you’ll need to go ahead and make a selection. You can do so by selecting the odds that are aligned with the specific event outcome that you think may happen.
With money line bets, you’re choosing which team will win. So your options are essentially for the home team to win, for the away team to win, or for the match to end in a draw. There are of course plenty of other soccer betting types available.
Once you’ve made your selection, it will be automatically added to your bet slip. If you’re betting on a desktop device, your bet slip will appear automatically on the right-hand side of the screen.
If you’re betting on a mobile device, the bet slip will usually be hidden, but will have a notification type icon on it, which you can then click to view.
When it comes to setting your stake, you’re setting the amount you’re wagering on the given outcome to occur. Our golden rule here at My Betting Sites is to never bet more than you’re willing to lose. Once you’ve entered your stake, you can go ahead and confirm your bet, through the relevant button found toward the bottom of the bet slip.
Soccer Betting Types
Below, you can find the most common soccer betting types listed and explained, in order from simplest to more complicated. This is by no means an exhaustive list, simply the main bets that can be found on soccer betting sites in Canada.
The rows below withhold descriptions of the bet types, and within them, we also indicate what kind of user is best suited to this bet. Click on the row that interests you to view the description.
- Moneyline (1X2)
Simply known as the full-time result. In soccer, there are three potential outcomes once the 90 minutes are up. Either team can win, or it can finish all square. You can bet on each possible result.
Good bet for all levels - we recommend beginners to start here.
- Double chance
If you are not entirely confident about the result of the match, you can cover two out of the possible three outcomes. You would normally choose one of the teams to win or draw, but you can also back either team to win, in which case you would lose your bet only if the game finishes level.
Good bet for beginners, who are a little uncertain of the end result of the match.
- Draw no bet
In this case, you pick one of the teams to win, and if the game ends in a tie, your stake is returned to you. This option carries less chance of winning than a double chance bet, but this bet offers up better odds.
Good bet for beginners, and intermediate bettors.
- Correct score
Punters can back the exact scoreline, which is easier to do in soccer betting than in other team sports with more points scored, such as football, basketball, and baseball. The Premier League averaged 2.85 goals per game in the 2022-23 season, with 1-0 the most common score (16% of games).
A good bet for intermediate bettors, who are following soccer closely.
- Goalscorers
Bettors can place wagers on a certain player to score at any time in the game. They can also choose the first and last goalscorer, or back individuals to score multiple times.
If you gather enough information on a particular match, this can help you make more complicated bets. The best betting sites will offer hundreds of markets for each soccer match that go way beyond just winners and goalscorers.
This bet is good for intermediate or experienced bettors who are following soccer closely.
- Team offsides (over/under)
The bookie will set a line, for example, 4.5, and you can bet on whether one particular team’s number of offside calls will be higher or lower than that. If you have been watching a team that plays a high defensive line, and the opposing team has a fast striker who plays on the shoulder of the centre-back, it may be a good idea to back the over. You will be able to find stats online for offsides per team in previous games.
Best for more experienced bettors with a strong knowledge of soccer.
- Player tackles (over/under)
For some soccer players, usually defenders or defensive midfielders, you will be able to bet on how many tackles they make in a game. Again, this will typically involve the bookie setting a line, and you back the over or under. If you think it might be an easy win for a particular team and their opposition won’t get forward much to trouble the defender in question, you would choose under.
Good bet for experienced bettors with a solid knowledge of soccer.
- First set piece
This type of bet is perhaps more luck than skill-based, but you can bet on whether the first set piece (dead ball situation) is a throw-in, free-kick, goal kick, corner or penalty.
There are many more bets like this, and pretty much any variable within a soccer game can be wagered on.
Best for experienced bettors with a solid knowledge of soccer.
- Handicaps
Handicaps are a great way level the playing field when a heavy favourite meets an underdog. In these bets, you’re essentially choosing the favourite to win by a certain number of goals, or for the underdog to lose by a certain number of goals.
For example, if you bet on Man City to win by more than 1.5 goals, your bet is only won if City ends the game with a two goal winning margin. If you bet on their opponent, let’s say Nottingham, you’d be betting on -1.5, which means if they were to lose by less than 2 goals, then you’d win your bet. There are plenty of options with handicap bets that are available on soccer betting sites.
A good bet for intermediate or experienced bettors with a good knowledge of betting on soccer.
Where to Find the Best Soccer Odds
Arguably the most important factor with any betting site is the odds. If you’re successful with your bets, you want to make sure you’re receiving the biggest payout possible.
While you shouldn’t have accounts with every sportsbook, you don’t want to stick to just one betting account as some bookies might be priced better for some markets but worse on others.
Make sure that the betting site you are considering registering with has comparatively high odds versus other bookmakers.
Before placing a bet on a certain event, have a look around the sites you have an account with and always look to go for the bookie with the best odds.
Some betting sites may set their default odds format as American, fractional or decimal. Make sure you have them all set to the same format so you can easily compare them.

Soccer Betting Sites FAQs
The answer to this depends largely on what you mean when you say safe. The safest way to bet on soccer from a legal perspective is to bet with a licensed bookmaker. All the bookmakers listed on our site are licensed both in Ontario, and abroad.
If you mean safety as in which bets to make that are a sure thing, then, we’re afraid we can’t help, because there are no sure things when betting on soccer. If you’re new to betting, the safest bets to start with are single game money line bets, but you can gradually start increasing the number of different bets you make as you get more comfortable.
We have a section outlining how to get started with soccer betting, but in short, you need to be either 18 or 19 depending on the province you live in, and you’ll need to have some personal information on hand in order to get an account up and running.
Then, to start placing bets, you either need to create an account, or log in to an account, navigate to the soccer betting tab, select a bet and choose your odds, and then you need to enter your stake, and confirm your bet.
When we measured soccer betting odds, we found that LeoVegas had the best margins, with Bet365 being up there as well. If you’re a bit more experienced, and more of a high roller, then we can also recommend Pinnacle, as their sportsbook offers great odds, and the ability to bet with higher stakes than anywhere else.
Soccer betting is officially legal in Canada, and remains unregulated in the rest of Canada’s provinces and territories. So, if you’re living in one of Canada’s other provinces or territories, betting isn't regulated, but it is not illegal, and you can sign up and bet with the soccer bookmakers listed on this page.
You can indeed. Soccer betting sites that offer a betting app ensure that their full catalogue of sports is offered on their apps too, so if you want to use an app while betting on soccer, you can do so, given the specific soccer betting site you’d like to bet with offer an app.
We highlight the best one under our “best soccer betting sites by feature” section.
Money line bets are the most common, followed by draw no bet and double chance. Same game parlays (build using a bet builder) are also becoming more and more popular, with this feature appearing on most of the best soccer betting sites in Canada.
