Below we rank 60 Australian bookmakers' odds using a weighted average* of their fixed odds win prices from the last 3 months to calculate their average market percentage. The lower the bookmaker's market %, the lower their margin, and the better the odds are for the punter.

We got the data to make this odds comparison from the odds comparison tool SmartOdds. In the future we are hoping to compare the odds of every betting site in Australia, and in more categories than just their fixed win prices.

*The bookmaker market percentages displayed above are calculated as weighted averages of the bookmaker's market percentages over the last 3 months, with a higher weight assigned to more recent data. This means that the most recent market percentages are given more influence in our calculation.

Bookmakers always price in a margin to their odds, to ensure that they are always profitable in the long run - this is seen in the market percentage where a percentage of 120% represents a 20% margin.

According to the data Palmerbet has Australia's best odds. At least, their fixed racing win prices are, on average, better than every other betting site in Australia.

Other bookmakers with better odds than most are Sportsbet, Unibet, PlayUp, Bet Right and Colossalbet.

The data also shows that after selected bookmakers with their own odds, Generation Web betting sites have the best odds, followed by Punterstech bookmakers, BetMakers bookmakers and finally BetCloud bookmakers.
