New UK Bookies - What punters want to know

In the UK, we're lucky that there's a regular flow of new betting sites that launch throughout the year, which, let's be honest is great for you (more bookies, more choice) and great for me (as it keeps me in a job!)

The problem with new bookies, however, is not every new addition can compete with the more established brands and survive the fierce nature of the UK sports betting market. You can't always be sure whether the new bookmaker you joined in the Spring will still be in business the following year.

But you could say that's the gamble (pardon the pun) of joining a new betting site.

To help you with this, we've picked out some of the best new UK bookies and shared our thoughts on why they'd be a good pick. Among our recommendations, you will find brand new bookmakers, betting sites that have launched in the last few years, as well as some not-so-new brands that are new to MyBettingSites.com.

This guide also answers the most common queries regarding new bookies including how to know a new site is safe, why some new bet sites look the same and the benefits of new bookmakers.

Which new betting sites launched in 2025?

The UK online betting market continues to grow each year and 2025 has been no exception.

Here's a list of the new bookies to have launched in the UK this year.

  • Quickbet
  • Puntit
  • Dabble
  • Betmaze

Which new UK online bookmakers are the best?

Unfortunately, not every new betting site that launches is very good and it's not uncommon to see brands exit the market as soon as they've entered it.

But that won't be the case for Dabble and Puntit, two bookies we expect to be part of the UK betting industry for years to come.

Our favourite new bookie

Dabble

What it has to offer new punters

The pick of the bunch is undoubtedly the addition of Dabble. Founded in Australia, Dabble has already made a confident entrance to the UK market with a fresh approach that blends betting with a social community vibe.

From the moment you open the app, it's clear this isn't your average bookie.

What really sets Dabble apart is its Copy Bet feature, allowing users to follow and replicate bets from popular tipsters and fellow punters at the tap of a button.

Then there's the Rocket Boosts - a daily promotion that launches selected odds sky-high. These boosts are prominently displayed, easy to claim and often tied to popular markets such as horse racing and football.

Not only that, Dabble excels as one of the best betting sites with a community-first design - where users can interact, share betslips and see what's trending - a bit like a feed on Twitter!

It's clear Dabble is building more than an average sportsbook. It's a betting experience that feels fresh, modern and genuinely social.

New customers only. Free bets credited following registration. Must be wagered 1x at min odds of 1/2 (1.5). 7-day expiry. Stake not returned. Promotional terms apply. 18+. Gambleaware.org

Runner-up

Puntit

What it has to offer new punters

If Dabble is the breakout star of 2025, then Puntit isn't far behind - confidently staking its claim as one of the best new betting sites to land in the UK this year.

Backed by the trusted BV Group, Puntit beneifts from the same high-performance technology and slick interface seen on BetVictor and Betano to name just a few. For users familiar with any of those brands, navigating Puntit feels instantly intuitive - with seamless transactions, smart navigation and a lightning-fast in-play betting experience.

But Puntit isn't just a clone. It's carved out its own identity with a clean, no-nonsense platform that puts odds front and centre. Competitive pricing across football, racing and major UK sports ensures value is never far away.

For bettors who care about performance, speed and pricing - and prefer subtance over flash - Puntit is a seriously impressive new bookie worth checking out.

18+. New customers only. Opt in, deposit & bet £10 or more on any sports market at minimum 1/1 odds within 7 days of registration. No cash out. Get £20 in sports Free Bets with 7 days expiry. Click for T&Cs. gambleaware.org

Do new betting sites have the best sign-up offers?

It can be the case that new bookies often have better welcome bonuses than more established bookmakers. That's because new market entrants need to make themselves noticed and therefore pull out all the stops to attract new customers.

Also, new betting companies or brands with an international presence (such as Betano and BetMGM in the past) come armed with a big marketing budget allowing for a big welcome bonus to be offered.

Here’s the pick of the sign-up offers available on the newest UK bookies:

Are new betting sites safe?

At MyBettingSites.com, we only recommend legitimate bookies which are safe for UK players.

The main way we check the legitimacy of a bookmaker is to check if it has a UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) licence. A proper license demonstrates that the operator is of a sufficiently high standard in key areas like payments and generally means you have a degree of protection as a customer if stuff goes wrong.

How to check if a bookie has a UK license

Usually, this information is easily accessible right at the bottom of a betting site where the license number and UKGC logo are displayed.

In some cases, the licence information isn’t shown, but in this instance, you can use the UKGC Register of Gambling Businesses to check the credibility of a bookmaker.

Why do some new betting sites look the same?

Yep, it probably won’t have gone unnoticed thay many new bookies look similar in design, layout, features - basically everything other than the logo and colour scheme.

These sites are operated by what are known as white label providers, i.e they provide a new brand with the online platform that includes everything including odds, in play, cash out, bet builder, to launch a betting site in super quick time. (Imagine how much time, not to mention money, it takes to build a new betting site from scratch!)

Given the many benefits of launching a new betting site in this way, there’s been a big upsurge in the number of white label betting sites during the last few years.

Examples of White label betting providers & sites
  • BV Gaming Limited: Betano, Parimatch, talkSPORT BET,
  • Progress Play: BetMorph, BetStorm, Betrino, CaspBet, DynoBet, MogoBet, MrRex
  • Aspire Global International Limited: BetTarget, Mr Mega, Mr Play, ZetBet

The obvious benefit of this is more options to pick from. And for bonus hunters and players just looking to claim a new sign-up offer, happy days (although some providers limit the number of sportsbook bonuses you can claim - more on that below).

But there is an argument to be had about the purpose of white label brands, if, essentially, they’re just copies of one another.

The one sportsbook welcome bonus rule

If you join certain white label providers, you will only be able to claim one sports welcome from their network of sites.

ProgressPlay is one such example. Their brands include MrRex, MogoBet and Betrino but UK punters are only able to claim one sportsbook bonus from their list of brands.

Are new betting sites better than old bookies?

Generally speaking, no. Rarely has a new betting site come along and instantly been a better option than one which has been around for several years.

That’s because most established betting sites have more well-rounded products that have been honed and continuously improved. Sites like Bet365 and Ladbrokes meet the needs of punters in terms of promotions, features and payment methods - every area basically. New betting sites, on the other hand, can be found lacking in a certain part of their offering.

That said, there are plenty of benefits to joining a new betting site!

Why should I join a new betting site?

New Sign Up Offer

The best way for new bookies to entice potential new members to use their products is by dishing out free bets, deposit bonuses or other similar sweeteners.

New betting companies have barely any brand recognition upon launch but a competitive sign-up offer can help new bookies stand out in a crowded market and steal a bit of the limelight from the more established bookmakers.

Every new bookie that pops up presents a fantastic opportunity for punters like yourself to fill your boots and claim a new bookmaker welcome bonus.

Cutting Edge Technology & New Features

Can you remember what the first-ever betting sites were like? If not, let’s say they weren’t very pretty or fun to use - just big blocks of text and a list of odds!

Today, new UK bookmakers launch with state-of-the-art software that enables users to place bets within seconds and benefit from a range of features, including live streaming, bet builders and cash out.

Also, in knowing they need to add an edge to their product to stand out in a crowded and competitive market new bookies tend to be more proactive in adding new features or coming up with new ways to do things.

A good example of a new bookie (at the time) carving out a new idea is Kwiff. ‘Surprise bets’ are popular today but it was Kwiff who started the trend. The idea, which probably sounded wild initially, eventually took off. Lo and behold, surprise/random bets are in fashion with bookies and punters alike.

More Payment Options

Using a debit card remains the most common way punters deposit and withdraw to and from their betting accounts. But e-wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay and instant bank transfer providers like Trustly are growing in popularity.

There are plenty of reasons for this, the main one probably being convenience and security: Once you’ve linked your preferred e-wallet to a bank account, you don’t need to directly provide the bookie with details of your cards or accounts, if that sort of thing concerns you.

Meanwhile, Trustly allows you to make online payments directly from your bank account, eliminating the need to punch in any personal details.

We’re seeing more new bookmakers that accept e-wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Skrill and Neteller, in addition to PayPal, catering to the growing trend. There are even some that allow you to deposit and claim a welcome offer using an e-wallet, a rarity only a couple of years ago.

The drawbacks of new bookies

No betting app/rubbish app

A lot of small betting brands or companies often launch with a sub-standard app or even without one at all. Even though nearly all bookies offer a reasonable experience via a standard mobile browser, that doesn’t come close to a well-built, responsive app which adds an extra layer of convenience to your experience.

Unknown reputation

This one’s a bit of a given but deciding to do business with any new company is a step into the unknown. You know where you stand with tried and tested bookies like Bet365 and Ladbrokes, you know you can rely on them to deliver a high-quality level of service. New bookies need to earn the trust of new punters which can take time.

Lack of features/markets/sports

You won’t find many new bookmakers that offer live streaming. And if you do, it will probably be esports and table tennis at best. This is forgivable given the cost involved in having live streams. We're not quite so forgiving when a new UK betting website is launched without horse racing, which has happened more times than you’d think and is quite ridiculous considering the vast majority of UK punters either bet on football or racing! Point is, if you’re going to join a new bookie you need to accept that it won’t be the polished site you’re perhaps used to.

Nick Albert
Betting Site Expert

I've used loads of different online bookies, some with more success than others. It's always fun to check out new entrants to the market and see what they have to offer that might shake up the status quo.

In my experience, new online bookies can be hit and miss: some are fantastic and can open up exciting new sports betting opportunities; others are a total waste of time.

I previously worked for a new online sports betting company so I've got some decent insight from both the bookie and the punter’s perspective on what makes a new betting site great.
