The Best New UK Bookmakers: Overview
Gone are the days in which a few household names in the betting world take home all the spoils. There are new bookmakers popping up now more than ever, all looking to bring new ideas to the table and usurp the big boys.
The shift to mobile over recent years means there are many more factors to consider when choosing a new betting site compared with, say, a decade ago. Don’t worry though, we are here to help!
Here at mybettingsites.com, we really like making punters’ lives easy.
Thank the heavens above that there’s free coffee at our office, because we’ve toiled away for countless hours to bring you the best possible overview of new betting sites in the UK market.
All new bookies worth your time are listed here on My Betting Sites.
Every time a new UK betting site launches, our experts are the first to hop on board and see if they are worth recommending to our community.

New betting sites such as SBK bring welcome offers and more opportunities for punters.
New customer betting offers are often used to get new punters through the door, and they usually come in the form of free bets, enhanced odds or a first deposit bonus.
But what matters in the long run for all new kids on the block is the promotions for existing customers, and providing plenty of betting markets while utilising new technology to conjure up the best product possible.
Top 10 New Betting Sites UK

- LiveScore Bet
- BetStorm
- Tebwin
- BetTarget
- Betiton
- MrRex
- Infernobet

Mr Play
Bet £10 get £15 Free Bet
It might not have the same ultra-high-quality feel as the big established sites in the UK like Bet356 and Betfair, but Mr Play should nevertheless be on your list of sites to explore and sign up to.
What we like most about Mr Play is the extensive selection of markets available. Whether you're a pre-match football bettor, in-play tennis punter, or anything in between, you are well-covered at Mr Play thanks to their coverage of around 35 sports and around 65,000 separate sporting events each month.
As far as payment options go, there is a pretty good selection at Mr Play, with the availability of PayPal being key. The addition of other e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay or Google Pay would change our rating of Mr Play payment options from 'good' to 'excellent'.
Navigation is fairly simple around the site, although if we're being really picky we would like it to be a little smoother on mobile (it's perfectly fine just not outstanding, you know). One obvious drawback for Mr Play is the lack of a dedicated iPhone app.

BetUK
Bet £10 get £30 in Free Bets
BetUK is a mobile punters' dream. The standard site is perfectly optimised for on-the-go access and dedicated apps for iPhone and Android really are a boon for BetUK users.
We like the simplicity of BetUK's approach: Navigation and market information are super easy to find and bet placement (that's what we're all interested in after all, right?) is satisfyingly straightforward. If you're looking for an all-action, in-your-face style bookie in a similar vein to Paddy Power, then this ain't it, but if you're looking for a bookie with loads of markets and a slick layout, be sure to check out BetUK.
24/7 live chat support is a great feature for a new bookie - it's comforting to know that someone is always on hand to assist when you are trying out a new site. A few more promotions and payment methods wouldn't go amiss but, having said that, the welcome offer is very good (just remember that you need to sign up on mobile to access the sign up bonus).

Parimatch
Bet £10 Get £20 in Free bets
Parimatch is a big brand in parts of Central and Eastern Europe, but it only debuted in the UK market in 2020. It launched on the same platform as BetVictor, so the offering is pretty similar to what you will find there. We say that's a very good thing, because BetVictor is one of the better online bookies available to UK punters.
Parimatch has one of the most generous sign up offers you can find at any UK online bookie.
In addition to the welcome bonus, existing Parimatch customers get showered with their fair share of offers and promotions, some of which encourage you to use certain features such as the excellent bet builder.
Payment options could be a little better and it there aren't many live streaming options available, but Parimatch certainly does look and feel like a top-tier operator. It's inked some impressive partnerships with top UK sports teams, so it's probably here to stay.

LiveScore Bet
Bet £10 Get £20 in Free Bets
LiveScore will already be well-known to a big chunk of you thanks to its widely used score updates website and mobile app. Not content with dominating that particular market LiveScore has now dipped its toes into online betting, and we're glad it has. It really is a high-quality new site.
The UX on both desktop and mobile is first-rate as we would expect from a company that made its name on a mobile-first scores product. There's a mammoth range of markets and a fairly decent selection of events where live streaming is available, all of which adds to that premium feel.
Plenty of online bookies have launched free-to-play games of some description over recent years, and LiveScore Bet's is one of the better ones, in our opinion. It's called Squads, it's outrageously easy to play, and you win cash prizes. You'd be mad not to play LiveScore Squads it each week for free once you've got a LiveScore Bet account.
On the negative side, LiveScore Bet still only accepts Visa/Mastercard debit and PayPal deposits and withdrawals.

BetStorm
Bet £10 Get a £30 Free Bet
BetStorm came thundering in to the UK market in 2021 with a lightning-quick BtoBet powered sportsbook and a tidal wave of different payment options.
One of the huge drawbacks with BetStorm was the x10 wagering requirement on their new customer sign up offer at My Betting Sites. However, they've now relaxed that requirement, making the bonus way more attractive.
BetStom doesn't have dedicated mobile apps, which is a shame, but the mobile site accessed via your preferred browser performs perfectly well. All the content is responsive and the markets and betting options are still simple to find on the small screen.
We're suckers for a nice dark colour scheme here at My Betting Sites so BetStorm scores points there, too.

Tebwin
Bet £10 Get a £30 Free Bet
Tebwin launched in the UK in 2021 and its BetConstruct-powered sportsbook brings plenty of cool features to the table, including a useful live multiview format for keeping track of different markets and bets all one one screen.
The sportsbook is absolutely stacked full of betting options: All the sports events you'd expect to be open for betting are there, as well as some you perhaps wouldn't expect. We especially like the depth of esports markets available for both pre-game and in-play betting at Tebwin. Payment options are great, too.
Commercial deals with Championship football team Queens Park Rangers and Premiership rugby outfit Worcester Warriors show that Tebwin means business in the UK market.

BetTarget
Bet £15 get £10
BetTarget is one of several online bookies to launch in the last year or two that operate under the Aspire Global umbrella and make good use of the proprietary sports solution powered by Aspire-owned sportsbook tech champions, BtoBet.
While the Aspire Global-owned sites all tend to be a little bit similar to each other, one thing you can be sure of is that you're using a top-quality sportsbook with an impressive range of markets and competitive odds.
It's not the most outstanding sign up offer we've ever seen, but the overall experience once you're signed up and using your account makes up for that. Payment options are excellent here, too.

Betiton
Bet £15 get £10 Free Bet
As soon as we saw the Betiton sign up offer splash page with a big picture of Djibril Cissé, we were sold. If it's good enough for Djibril, it's good enough for us.
Seriously though, Betiton is a solid sportsbook that packs a punch with excellent football coverage (including asian handicap markets) and one of the better cash out functions of the new entries to the UK market (partial cash out is supported). Fast markets are another cool feature on offer here.
Like many new online bookmakers, Betiton doesn't really have any live streaming offering to speak of. It's also a shame that Betiton doesn't have dedicated mobile apps but that isn't an absolute dealbreaker given that the mobile site works pretty well in a smartphone browser.

MrRex
Bet £15 Get £10
It's fair to say that MrRex's primary focus is its casino product, but that's not to say sports punters will be at all disappointed if they sign up here.
There's some live streaming available which is a standout feature for any new site entering the UK market these days, and the payment options are predictably good for a site in the Aspire Global group.
The sign up bonus is one of the weaker efforts on this list, but there's no turnover requirement at least. It would be nice if there were more promotions available for sportsbook customers to match the daily casino promotions on offer, but we think that may come eventually.

Infernobet
No longer accepting new players
Click 'claim' to see active betting sites
The UK online betting market is red-hot and new sites really do need to bring the heat to bet able to compete. Infernobet might not be the prettiest site we've ever seen but there's more than enough going on at this BetConstruct-powered sportsbook to keep most UK punters happy.
The welcome offer is good if not outstanding, and the Rewards Programme means you can bag yourself perks like free spins, deposit bonuses and cashback deals if you're a regular player.
There's a ton of different deposit and withdrawal options and live chat support is also reassuring to see.
New UK Betting Sites - Editor’s Pick

SBK Betting
Bet £10 get £30 in free bets
The mobile revolution is truly upon us. To be honest, it has been for ages. That’s probably why the folks behind exchange betting platform Smarkets thought to create a mobile app-only sportsbook. And my word, they did a good job! Great prices, loads of markets, a generous sign up offer and innovative social features all in a shiny little app - what’s not to like?
Why Join a New Betting Site?
Lots of you lovely people living in Old Blighty are on the lookout for new UK bookmakers every day, and this can be for a number of reasons.
It’s important for new bookies to score highly on some (ideally all) of the following to give themselves a shot at attracting and retaining punters:
✅ Sign Up Offers
Online bookies love to dish out free bets, deposit bonuses or other sweeteners to attract people to sign up to use their products. This presents a fantastic opportunity for you, the discerning betting connoisseur, to hoover up a pretty decent pile of bonuses and risk-free wagering opportunities through signing up to new betting sites.
The best sign up offers around can often be found at new betting sites.
New betting sites don’t have an incredibly strong global brand such as the likes of Bet365 (and they can’t afford to hire Ray Winstone to suggest people should sign up with them). That means they often have to go above and beyond with their sign up offers in order to compete.
✅ Cutting-Edge New Tech
If you look at what betting sites used to look like compared with the modern-day aesthetics, it’s chalk and cheese. New UK bookmakers tend to implement state-of-the-art software on their desktop site, as well as their dedicated mobile betting app.
This is particularly important when it comes to things like live betting, as there is a necessity for betting sites and apps to work quickly and efficiently with no glitches or lag. You’ll also find new bookmakers innovating in certain areas to try and differentiate themselves: for example, SBK has integrated social and tipping elements to their swanky sportsbook app.
✅ Payment Options
Debit cards and credit cards have been popular methods for deposits and withdrawals on betting sites since the inception of online gambling, but lots of punters are now moving towards e-Wallets like PayPal. There are plenty of reasons for this, chief among them probably being convenience and security: Once you’ve linked your preferred e-wallet to a bank account, you don’t need to directly provide the bookie with details of your cards or accounts, if that sort of thing concerns you.
If your preferred betting site payment methods aren’t available at your current bookie, then it of course makes sense to scout out a new option that caters for your banking needs.
Even cryptocurrencies are beginning to appear on some new bookmakers’ list of banking options, and the quick, secure and smooth transactions via methods such are sure to appeal to punters going forward.
Unfortunately, UK online bookies are unlikely to accept an NFT of your favourite meme as payment just yet. Probably for the best.
✅ Odds
New betting sites simply won’t make the grade if their odds can’t compete with the established bookies. It’s a bookie-eat-bookie world out there.
Check the new bookie’s odds against Bet365 or one of the other established heavyweights and see how they compare.
On pure prices alone, Bet365 is probably on top of the market in the UK. That’s not a surprise - it’s the world’s biggest bookie so it can afford to have high payout percentages. Economy of scale, init. If a new bookie comes anywhere close to Bet365’s prices in the markets you fancy having a flutter on, you know you’re on the right track.
✅ Promotions
Bookies know that once they’ve whetted your appetite with a sign up bonus, you punters will be demanding more, more, and even more. To placate you, most bookies offer great betting promotions which can be ongoing features or relate to specific events.
Offering uniquely tasty promotions is another way that a newer bookie can stand out in this crowded market.
Kwiff, for example, regularly emails me with ‘Surprise Bet’ offers that will get ‘kwiffed’ if you’re lucky (to translate, they’ll give you a random free bet and the odds might get boosted by insane amounts).
✅ Range of Markets
Some new bookies offer exciting or obscure markets that aren’t available on more established sites. That might be because they use a different odds provider, or they’re targeting a different demographic.
Variety of markets is a good reason to add a new bookie to your selection of active accounts.
I once knew a guy called Simple Steve who signed up to a new online bookie without checking what markets it had open for betting. Simple Steve was well into his ski jumping and spent months working on a statistical formula to calculate the relationship between exact lift off angle and final competition standings to the 99% scientific significance level.
‘I could make some money on this’, thought Simple Steve, and he signed up to the first online bookie he could find.
However, Simple Steve made the catastrophic error of committing to a new bookie without making sure it offered the markets that he wanted to bet on and, lo and behold, his new bookie didn’t offer prices on ski jumping.
Simple Steve was so gutted. All those months in the garden shed working on his statistical edge gone to waste - word on the street is that he’s not watched a single ski jumping event since. Too many bad memories.
The moral of the story is to have a browse around the new bookie before you sign up to make sure it has the bets you want to take.
Better still, read an expert, comprehensive review like the ones you can find on My Betting Sites. If he’d have just read our VBet review, for example, Simple Steve would know that it has ski jumping markets… Tragic.
Drawbacks of New Online Betting Sites
It’s not all ‘sunlit uplands’ (sorry if that’s triggered some of you) with new online betting sites. As with any new products, there can be teething problems or even fundamental flaws that weren’t anticipated before launch. Below are the sorts of things that might annoy you at a new online bookie:
❌ Rubbish Betting App (Or No App)
Some new bookies, like SBK, pour their heart and soul into top-quality dedicated mobile betting apps. That’s great, because the statistics show that most Brits that bet online do so via a mobile device.
What isn’t great is that some new betting sites don’t offer the same seamless mobile experience. That can be a bit of a pain as, even though nearly all offer a reasonable experience via a standard mobile browser, that still doesn’t really come close to a good, responsive app.
I should add that, in my opinion:
A bad betting app is worse than no app at all (especially when your hard-earned money is at stake).
It's probably best to stick to the mobile browser if you think a new bookies’ app is a dumpster fire.
❌ Lack of Familiarity
This is not the fault of the new bookie per se, but it is sometimes the case that the layout or format of a new betting site might be quite different to the one you’re used to.
For example, I like to bet on asian handicaps. Some bookies display the asian handicap lines from the current score, while others display the lines from 0-0 regardless of current score. So if the home side is winning 2-0, backing the home team at -0.25 at one bookie might be the same as backing them to beat -2.25 at another bookie. The best way to double-check what you’re betting on is to compare the prices with a bookie you’re more familiar with
Other things that might be off-putting at first are different menu layouts and UX in general. But if you like the rest of what a new bookmaker has to offer, then you’ll soon get used to its new quirks.
❌ Lack of Payment Options
Basically the opposite to the above section on how a good variety of payment options can be a reason to sign up to a new bookie.
If you can’t conveniently deposit your dosh at a new bookie, why would you bother?
❌ Poor Customer Support
Most of the big bookies know how important solid customer support is to their overall brand and to customer trust. They all have big FAQ sections, or even dedicated support/help websites in addition to various avenues through which they can be contacted (live chat, email, social media, telephone, etc.).
This isn’t always the case with new online betting sites, which may have comparatively smaller budgets to try and create a competing service.
It’s easy to check what sort of customer support is available by checking the in-depth reviews on mybettingsites.com.

New UK Betting Offers 2023
Having a top-notch welcome offer is one of the best things a new betting site can put in place in order to give themselves the best chance of bringing some new players on board.
Without a welcome bonus, punters are unlikely to be queueing up to join a new bookie.
Free bets, for example, are popular in the UK because they are uncomplicated and rarely have any tricky wagering requirements attached. Some might have minimum odds or may only be placed on accumulator bets, but the best ones will give the new customer more freedom as to how they can use their free bets.
As long as the new betting site is fully licensed and regulated then there is plenty of incentive to give them a try and take advantage of generous bonus offers.

Best New Football Betting Sites
- SBK
- Tebwin
- Parimatch
- Betiton
- BetUK
- BetTarget
Football is usually the most extensively covered sport at any UK-facing online bookie, and with good reason:
Brits love footy, Brits love betting on footy.
The range of options available for football punters is quite impressive, and established players like Betfair and 888Sport really do take some beating in this space. However, that's not to say there aren't some very decent football betting products at new online bookmakers.
New Football Betting Sites: Editor's Pick

Tebwin
Bet £10 Get a £30 Free Bet
Yeah, it's most definitely not the prettiest site ever. That could be improved. But what matters most is what's under the hood, and Tebwin delivers for footy punters with its BetConstruct-powered sportsbook that has a stupendous number of markets open for pre-match and in-play betting all day, every day. A certain free online encyclopedia indicates that betting on the horses has been a thing in the UK since at least 1600 (surely those Roman lads in Londinium were at it long before that though?). In any case, bookies have had a long time to perfect their horse racing betting products, and there are certainly some sophisticated options on the market.
According to the racing experts here at My Betting Sites HQ, these are some of the best new online bookmakers in the UK for horse racing:

Best New Betting Apps
We've looked at countless betting apps while writing reviews for mybettingsites.com. These are the new betting apps that have impressed us the most:
- SBK
- Parimatch
- BetUK
Placing bets via smartphone or tablet is now commonplace among UK punters and while betting sites usually work nicely on a mobile browser, a dedicated app is typically the best way to wager from your handheld device.

BetUK has hit the spot with its iOS and Android apps.
New betting apps tend to have neat security features like Face ID login implemented, meaning the time it takes to pick up your phone and place a bet with your chosen bookie is now minimal.
Bettors want quick and easy access to their sportsbook whenever they want.
Because of the increased popularity of betting via mobile, many new UK bookmakers build their products around their app, creating a smooth user experience with top-class functionality and seamless access to all features.
Users can go through the registration process on a betting app just as they would on desktop, and proceed to place pre-match and in-play wagers with live stats and in some cases streaming readily available.

Best New Betting Sites 2023: What to Look Out For
There are well over 3,000 gambling businesses currently licensed to operate in the UK by the Gambling Commission. That number will almost certainly grow in 2023, and at least some of those new licensees are going to be decent new online betting sites.
Keep an eye out on My Betting Sites for in-depth reviews on new betting sites for UK punters throughout the year.
We regularly update our list of reviews with new bookies (but only if they’re licensed by the Gambling Commission and if we think they’re worth your time!).
