Moneyball Overview
Moneyball re-branded from a fantasy-only betting platform to an app-focused sports and racing bookmaker at the end of 2021. Today, Moneyball certainly doesn't offer the range of betting options that you'll find at sites like Bet365 or Sportsbet but they do offer the best multi odds in Australia, daily custom markets, arguably the simplest and quickest app experience, along with creative quizzes, prediction competitions, and specials. You can also expect cash out, fast payouts, and an above-average number of esports options.

Moneyball Review
Once Australia's biggest daily fantasy brand, Moneyball is now the best place to put down a multi bet. That might seem like a bold claim but when you're getting odds that are 2 to 20% better than the competition for your 3+ leg multis, it's hard to look past Moneyball when it comes to building your own bets.
Other things worth mentioning are Moneyball specials - daily and happy hour offers for custom daily markets - their unique & rewarding quizzes and prediction competitions, same game multis, and cash out, all of which have the potential to give you extra value on your bets.
Moneyball is certainly not perfect in all areas though. For one thing, they have fewer overall sports betting markets than other big players like Bet365 or Neds. This also means that you won't always be able to build the exact multi that you want and they don't do Same Race Multis or Tote odds just yet.
Despite this, after adding racing fixed odds for every NZ and Australian race to their app in late 2021, Moneyball is certainly worth your time, especially if you only bet on mobile.
In 2022, the Moneyball bookmaker launched their betting website as a compliment to their Android and iOS apps.
Why we like Moneyball ✅
- Moneyball's multi prices are often better than every other Aussie bookie's
- Moneyball has daily specials, prediction competitions, and other unique & engaging features
- Moneyball's app which means it's fast, easy-to-use and bug-free
Why we don't like Moneyball ❌
- Moneyball no longer offers fanatsy betting
- Moneyball doesn't have same race multi options
Moneyball Rating: 9/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Moneyball Betting FAQ
Yes! Although Moneyball is not our favourite Australian bookmaker, our betting experts agree that Moneyball is a great choice, especially if you place multi bets, bet on your phone, or just want a second or third app to give you alternative prices for your wagers.
Moneyball is a good bookmaker because when you place multis with 3 legs or more, you'll get 2 to 20% better prices than you would otherwise get at competitors. Moneyball also has one of the most intuitive betting apps in Australia meaning it is very easy to use and packed with features like special markets and same game multis.
Overall we like Moneyball because this bookmaker is unique, their prices aren't the same as all the other Aussie bookies', and because they offer things that other betting sites ignore like extensive esports betting options and low $1 minimum withdrawals.
You can deposit into your Moneyball Australia account with:
- Credit/Debit Card (Instant)
- Bank Transfer/EFT (24-48 hours)
- POLi (24-48 hours)
You can withdraw from Moneyball Australia with:
- Credit Card (24-48 hours)
- Bank Transfer/EFT (24-48 hours)
Yes! Moneyball increases your 3+ leg multis by up to 20% (depending on how often you place multis, what sports(s) you're creating a multi for and how big your multis is).
It is true that betting sites like Neds offer more Same Race Multi options like blended and split multis and that bookies like Bet365 have more multi options to choose from.
However, if you're betting on main markets like totals, spreads, or match results then Moneyball's multis are the best in Australia.
Yes, Moneyball launched their betting website in October 2022.
Moneyball's website is found at https://moneyball.com.au/, but you can still bet via the Moneyball Android or iOS app.
The Moneyball apk is the Android file that contains all of the information required to run the Moneyball app on Android devices.
To get the Moneyball apk, simply visit moneyball.com.au from your Android device and then select 'Download on Google Play', or go to the Australian Google Play Store and search 'Moneyball'.
Moneyball is owned by various different private investors and groups with the majority stake being held by YoLo Investments.
YoLo investments is a venture capital firm run by general partner Tim Heath.
Moneyball App
As one of Australia's few app-first bookmakers, you'd expect Moneyball to have a quality betting app - and it does.
Specifically, we really liked that there are multiple login options including biometrics, Email, Google, and Apple - this makes getting into your accounts faster and easier than remembering and typing a username and password.
The navigation and usability of the Moneyball app are almost perfect. There is no wasted space, the top of the screen is where you can search or scroll through different sports while most of the rest of the screen is taken up by neatly organised betting markets.
We also really appreciate that the Moneyball app always shows your current account balance at the top (there's nothing worse than going to place a bet and realising that you need to make a deposit again).
One minor complaint is that for some player prop markets, the name of the team is not shown next to the player which means that if you don't know the squads, you won't know which team they play for.
Aside from these things, the app is fast, responsive, and available on the App Store and Play Store - the download links can be found on moneyball.com.au.
Moneyball App Pros ✅
- Free for iPhone & Android
- 15 or so different sports codes
- All NZ/AU horse and dog races
- Market-leading multi odds
- $1.95 sports lines
- Same game multis, cash out, specials
- Easy to log in, use & bet
- Many esports betting markets
- Futures & player props
- $1 minimum withdrawal
Moneyball App Cons ❌
- Could have more sporting markets
- Could offer more payment options
- Could have a phone support number
- Could offer live phone betting
- Could lower the $10 min deposit

Moneyball Betting: Racing
Moneyball offers horse and greyhound racing markets for all New Zealand and Australian meets, as well as for selected international countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France, Germany, Ireland, and the UK.
Moneyball is a bit different than other racing bookies though. Moneyball currently only offers fixed odds racing betting, but they also have a unique bet type - Top 2.
This is, Moneyball has fixed win, place, and top 2 odds for most markets offered.
Overall, Moneyball's fixed odds are competitive, and while not always the best in Australia, you will definitely find the best-priced runner is sometimes on Moneyball.
Also, because they offer Top 2 markets, you will be able to bet in a unique way that can definitely be profitable if you back a runner you think has a good chance of coming in first or second.
Not sure whether to back the win or the place? With Moneyball's Fixed Top 2 racing markets you can back any runner to finish first or second
Of course, tote lovers are not going to be too happy with no Best Tote or Starting Price odds on the Moneyball betting app but because many professional and serious punters hunt for value with fixed odds, we think that the Moneyball app is still a great option.
Rumour has it that Moneyball is also working on adding totes, exotics, same race multis, and all-in markets to their racing offering.
It is worth noting that Moneyball has daily custom markets like Head to Heads, it all depends on the popularity of the meet.
The other thing to say about Moneyball's racing markets is that they have a great selection of international meets along with speedmaps, detailed form guides, race + runner comments, and expert tips for Australian races.
However, we'd like to see more racing features like filters, a blackbook, or even just more race comments.
If you're looking for a racing betting site with all the stats and form then Neds is a great alternative to Moneyball. PlayUp is also an Aussie-owned betting operator with consistently strong fixed odds prices.
Moneyball Betting: Sports
As a general rule, for the 15 or so sports offered by Moneyball Australia, there are around 20 different markets available.
These markets include popular options like Head-to-Head, Result, Winner, Handicaps & Asain Handicaps, Margin, Correct Score, Total, First Try/Goal, Team Totals, Odds/Evens and less popular bet types like Player Props, Anytime Scorer, Corners, and Futures.
Of course, this is just a general guide with bigger rugby, football, and soccer matches having more options whereas smaller events like canoeing and darts have fewer.
One area where Moneyball punches above its weight is with esports. They offer a range of daily markets for CS:GO, Dota 2, LoL and other games like Valorant and NBA 2k.
Although they don't have hundreds of bet types per event, Moneyball has unique betting options, specials, and the best priced multis in Australia
In general, Moneyball sports odds are competitive (with lines getting up to $1.95 on occasion), but the real value comes from placing same game, or multiple game multi bets where you can get up to 20% better prices than at other Australian bookmakers.
Moneyball also has daily specials where the prices you get for these unique bet types are better than anywhere else in Australia.
Overall, Moneyball doesn't have the most sports betting options, or always the best odds, but there is plenty to choose from, this app is great for multis, and there is also a lot of value if you like to spend a bit of time searching for overpriced bets.
If you want a bookie with all the same features but even more sports betting markets, as well as extensive same game multi markets, live streaming, and full, auto and partial cash out then, try Bet365 or Unibet instead.
Moneyball Payment Methods
Moneyball only offers users the ability to fund and withdraw from their accounts via card, POLi, or Bank Transfer/Electronic Funds Transfer.
This is surprisingly limited for a modern app like Moneyball but seeing as these are three of the most popular betting payment options in Australia, it shouldn't bother too many punters.
The notable exception from Moneyball's list of ways to pay is PayPal (and other ewallets like Neteller and Skrill).
Overall, Moneyball's payment processing was fast and reliable, like everything else with this app.
Moneyball Deposit Methods
- Credit Card (Instant)
- Debit Card (Instant)
- POLi (Instant)
- Bank Transfer/EFT (1-2 days)
Moneyball's minimum deposit amount is $10.
Moneyball Withdrawal Methods
- Credit Card (1-2 days)
- Bank Transfer/EFT (1-2 days)
Moneyball's minimum withdrawal amount is $1.
Moneyball's payment's are secured using the latest SSL encryption technology. Moneyball is licenced by the NT racing commission and approved betting partner of agencies like the AFL, NRL, Cricket Australia, Rugby AU, FFA and more
Moneyball Contact
- FAQ via the Moneyball app/website
- Live Chat via the Moneyball app/website
- Email at support@moneyball.com.au
One of the features Moneyball displays on its website and App Store listing is its 'Low Touch Customer Service'.
Basically, Moneyball is proud to not offer a phone number and instead gives users FAQs, live chat, and an email address instead.
I'll give Moneyball the benefit of the doubt and say that they genuinely think that not having a phone number is a good idea. However, personally, I jump on the phone as soon as I have a problem with any of my betting accounts - it's much easier to solve problems when you're actually talking to someone.
Despite this, Moneyball's FAQs are thorough, their team is helpful, and I have no other complaints regarding their support system.
Moneyball Australia Features
Moneyball is missing some popular features like same race multis.
Still, Moneyball has some of the most well-known features like cash out and same game multis, speedmaps, expert tips, detailed form guides as well as a range of more unique extras like special bets, prediction games, and quizzes.
Moneyball Betting Features
- Moneyball Same Game Multi
Moneyball has Same Game Multi options for a range of sports including the AFL, NRL, Soccer, Basketball, and more.
This allows you to combine multiple bets from the same game into one larger bet for an increased payout.
Sites like Bet365 have more same game multi options per match than Moneyball but Moneyball's prices are often slightly better than Bet365's.
- Moneyball Cash Out
For eligible single and multi bets, Moneyball will offer you the chance to cash out for a decreased payout.
If you're getting cold feet or just can't wait for the final whistle to see if your bet is going to hit, cash out is a great way to secure your profits.
Cash out is available at Moneyball's discretion but tends to be most widely available for major markets on sports like footy, soccer, rugby and cricket.
Moneyball does not let you cash out of same game multis.
Bet365 has full, auto and partial cash out options and is probably Australia's best bookie for cash out.
- Moneyball Specials
Moneyball offers daily specials which give you better odds for particular unique betting options.
These odds will almost always be higher than what is offered by every other Australian bookmaker.
- Moneyball Top 2 Fixed Odds
For horse and greyhound racing, Moneyball has Fixed Win, Place and Top 2 odds.
This means you can back a runner to come anywhere in the top one, two or three of the runners in the field, which not many other betting sites allow you to do.
- Moneyball Predictions & Quizzes
Moneyball rewards players for playing their free prediction competitions and taking their free sports quizzes.
Legally, we can't say much more than that but these are a fun and engaging way to get more value out of your Moneyball betting account.
