Eight NFL Teams Remain Undefeated – Chiefs Lead Last Team Defeated Odds

The Chiefs will travel to face the 0-2 Miami Dolphins in Week 3 before meeting the undefeated Raiders in Las Vegas in Week 4. They then have their bye before hosting the Chargers and traveling to Seattle in Weeks 6 and 7.

Miami represents one of the more favourable matchups among the undefeated teams this week, making the Week 4 meeting with Las Vegas the first major obstacle. If Kansas City reaches its bye at 4-0, the Week 7 trip to Seattle could become one of the most important games in this market, especially if the Seahawks remain undefeated themselves.

For now, the Chiefs' 26% market share makes sense considering the early bye week and two potentially troubling matchups all the way into week 7.

The Bills also have one of the clearest paths to 4-0. The Bills host the 0-2 Chargers in Week 3 before another home matchup against the Patriots in Week 4.

However, the schedule becomes more difficult in week 5, with Buffalo traveling to Los Angeles to face the Rams on Monday Night Football, followed by a road matchup with the currently undefeated Raiders. After their Week 7 bye, the Bills host Baltimore before traveling to Minnesota.

That makes the Week 5 trip to Los Angeles the most obvious obstacle. If they can pull through a Monday Night Football win, they should be in a great position within this market heading into they bye week.

The 49ers host the Cardinals in Week 3 and Broncos in Week 4, giving them consecutive home games before traveling to Seattle in Week 5. That Seahawks matchup stands out immediately, as Seattle is also 2-0 and currently holds a 14% share of the last undefeated market.

The 49ers have had a great start to their year, including a 35-13 win over Miami in Week 2. If they can handle Arizona and Denver at home, Week 5 in Seattle could become an elimination game for this market if both NFC West teams remain perfect.

San Francisco then hosts Washington in Week 6 before travelling to Atlanta, with a bye waiting in Week 8. Their schedule contains some of the easier matchups out of these remaining undefeated teams, with it all relying on the outcome of the Seahawks game.

The Seahawks head to Washington in Week 3 before returning home for consecutive games against the Chargers and 49ers. Seattle then has to travel to Denver on a short week for Thursday Night Football in Week 6.

The Week 5 game against San Francisco will be their greatest challenge. With both NFC West teams currently 2-0, at least one could be removed from the undefeated list by then.

Seattle's 14% odds appear closely tied to whether it can get through that stretch. Washington and the Chargers provide opportunities to reach 4-0, but San Francisco followed by a road Thursday night game in Denver creates a tougher path than other teams on this list.

The Bengals travel to Pittsburgh in Week 3 before hosting Jacksonville and then visiting the 0-2 Dolphins. They have a bye in Week 6, meaning a victory in each of those games would take Cincinnati into its week off at 5-0.

Pittsburgh is probably the biggest immediate threat. Divisional road games are rarely straightforward, and the Steelers enter Week 3 at 1-1. If Cincinnati gets through that matchup, Jacksonville and Miami provide a likely path toward extending their streak.

The real test would arrive immediately after the bye, when Cincinnati travels to Baltimore in Week 7. That makes the Ravens game the main obstacle for the Bengals' undefeated run. With a tough matchup coming late in the season, however, the Bengals are positioned more favorably than most teams.

The Vikings travel to Tampa Bay in Week 3 before hosting Miami and then visiting New Orleans. They subsequently receive a Week 6 bye before hosting Indianapolis in Week 7.

None of those opponents are currently undefeated, and Tampa Bay and Miami both enter Week 3 at 0-2. That gives Minnesota a favorable opportunity to build on its 2-0 start without immediately facing one of the league's other perfect teams.

Things become much more difficult afterward. Minnesota travels to Detroit in Week 8 before hosting Buffalo on Monday Night Football in Week 9. Making it to week 8 would already put the Vikings in great position for this market.

However, although the Buccaneers and Saints have had their share of losses this season, they are by no means guaranteed wins for the Vikings. The uncertainty there could help explain why they're positioned much lower on this list.

The Eagles travel to Chicago for Monday Night Football in Week 3 before hosting the Rams in Week 4. They then travel to London to face Jacksonville before returning home against Carolina.

The Rams game appears to be the biggest challenge. Philadelphia has won its first two games by only two and four points, defeating Washington 24-22 before beating Tennessee 24-20. That makes the Eagles' 2-0 record less dominant than those of some of the other undefeated teams.

Even if Philadelphia gets through Los Angeles, the travel game in London can easily result in an upset. In addition, the Week 7 divisional matchup against Dallas will likely be another heavily contested matchup. 

The Raiders have an opportunity to move to 3-0 when they travel to face New Orleans in Week 3, but the schedule becomes significantly more difficult immediately afterward. Kansas City visits Las Vegas in Week 4, followed by a road game in New England and a home matchup against Buffalo. The Rams then visit in Week 7.

It's easy to see why Las Vegas remains at just 3% despite its perfect start. The Week 4 meeting with Kansas City could very well be where its undefeated run could end, especially considering the Chiefs currently lead this same market.

Even if the Raiders upset Kansas City, Buffalo arrives only two weeks later. Las Vegas has done enough through two games to enter the conversation, but no other team in this market faces a more concentrated group of contenders over the next month.
