DragonBet and BVGroup have announced a partnership that will see the Welsh betting brand migrate its sportsbook and casino onto the BV:360 platform in early 2027.

The deal will see BVGroup power DragonBet’s online operations, just as it does for talkSPORT BET, Betano, Parimatch and, of course, BetVictor, further expanding its portfolio of prominent betting brands.

For DragonBet, meanwhile, the news means the brand will remain completely independent and preserve its Welsh branding and identity, while essentially securing its long-term future.

But what does the agreement all mean for bettors in Ireland?

Changes won’t be noticeable for DragonBet users in the short term; the brand will continue to serve users as normal on its existing Playbook Gaming-powered platform.

However, work is already underway behind the scenes to move the site over to the BV:360 platform and ensure the migration is complete by the first quarter of 2027.

Once the transition to BVGroup is fully rolled out, DragonBet will resemble existing BVGroup brands in payment options, features and promotions.

The new DragonBet sportsbook will also look different from how it is now and most likely adopt the same appearance and layout as other BVGroup brands, while still maintaining the DragonBet identity.
