New Betting Sites Ireland

So far in 2026, we've seen three new betting sites launch in Ireland: DragonBet (January) and Fitzwilliam.Bet (February) and the most recent addition to the market, 3et, which launched in April.

With the new gambling regulations set to take effect on July 1st, we expect to see some new additions to the current options in the coming months.

But as of June 2026, these are the newest names on the market:

Ireland's Newest Betting Sites

Newly Licensed Bookmakers

Fitzwilliam.bet

New since February 2026

Fitzwilliam.bet is an online extension of Fitzwilliam Sports, the bespoke bookmaker based in the heart of Dublin. Upon launch, the brand was initially known as Fitzbet; however, it appears that the company is now going with Fitzwilliam.bet instead.

Users of the new sportsbook can expect the same high standards and high-quality service that Fitzwilliam Sports has delivered to its clients since opening in 2021, with a comprehensive sportsbook covering all popular UK & Irish sports, with a strong focus on horse racing and, of course, football.

As one of Ireland’s newest bookies, Fitzwilliam.bet, has seen a surge in new customers opening accounts, which is hardly surprising.

Those discovering the brand for the first time can’t help but be impressed by the site's sophisticated look and simple layout. First impressions are everything, and Fitzbet certainly succeeds here.

Those impressions continue the deeper you dive into the site, too. There's a raft of football promotions - 2 Up, Superb Sub, Acca Boost, Red Delight - an easy-to-use bet builder and a generous refer-a-friend program for members to benefit from.

New since January 2026

“The Bookmaker of Wales”, as it’s known, is one of a handful of newly launched betting sites in Ireland that have caught the attention of many Irish punters in a short space of time.

DragonBet's main focus is on horse racing, which is unsurprising given the company's roots in the sport under its original name, John Lovell Racing.

The family run, local bookmaker based in Wales featured prominently at racecourses for nearly 50 years, but has since transitioned into an online betting brand.

Its sportsbook is naturally geared towards racing, but it offers far more than just horse and greyhound betting!

Users can take advantage of the many value football odds boosts (aka DragonBoosts) and trebles on offer and create tailor-made wagers via the bet builder feature. Market depth and competitive pricing are also big plusses when opting to join DragonBet. Meanwhile, the company is also known for its high level of customer service, something you can almost always expect from an independent bookmaker.

For balance, there aren’t many (if any) promotions to speak about, and payments are extremely limited, but we believe these areas will improve as the brand becomes more established.

Bar 1 Betting

New since November 2025

With over 60 betting shops across the Republic of Ireland (and Northern Ireland), Bar One Racing has a huge presence across the Irish region. The Dundalk-based company has recently taken on a new look, rebranding in late 2025 to Bar 1 Betting, marking a new chapter in the bookmaker’s history.

The change has brought a new website and mobile app, launched to deliver customers a much faster and smoother betting experience. But how does the new sportsbook stack up?

Well, as the name Bar One Racing suggests, the focus is very much on horse racing and greyhounds. Bar 1 covers UK and Irish racing as well as most Irish betting sites, with money back promos like Fairplay Payback and Full Stake on Dead Heat worth highlighting. Live streaming is possible, but if we're honest, there aren't many racing features to mention.

It feels like there's a bit more going on when it comes to football. Members can pick up weekly free bets and rewards, receive odds boosts for accas, and get paid out early if the team they backed pre-match goes 2 goals up.

There are also great value odds boosts for the day’s biggest games, while pre-built bet builders make life a bit easier for the ones that can’t make up their mind (like me)!

Bar 1 Betting may not come with the bells and whistles of Ireland's most established betting sites, but the sportsbook has enough to pique the interest of most Irish punters.

Bookies That May Be New To You

In this section, we're pointing you in the direction of betting sites that aren't necessarily new but, for one reason or another, may have passed you by.

Midnite

  • Founded: 2018
  • Launched in Ireland: 2000
  • Operated by: Dribble Media Limited
  • Licensed and regulated by the Revenue Commissioners (Licence No. 1019666)

Midnite’s approach to the UK gambling market has been measured since going live to the UK masses in 2018 and, latterly, in Ireland. So, if you haven’t heard of the name before, you are forgiven!

Owned and operated by Dribble Media, Midnite is an independent bookie with an esports first focus. The site has done a terrific job of capturing what was a fairly untapped market at the time to become one of the leading esports bookies today.

It's not just about eSports, though. Midnite’s fresh, easy-to-use sportsbook is an excellent pick for betting on Ireland’s most popular sports, such as horse racing, football and rugby.

In addition to competitive odds, members can also look forward to fast withdrawals and daily boosts and promotions. Those playing with Midnite for the first time can claim free bets and free spins to the value of €25.

Novibet

  • Founded: 2010
  • Launched in Ireland: 2021
  • Operated by: Novigroup Limited
  • Licensed and regulated by the Revenue Commissioners (Licence No. 1020856)

Novibet has been around since 2010 and is well-established in Greece, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, and Chile. Just like in the countries mentioned, Novibet has become a favourite in Ireland since its launch in 2021.

And it’s clear why. There’s a generous bet 10 get 70 sign-up offer on the table, and there are heaps of existing customer promotions to benefit from, including free bets and its free-to-play football game, NoviLeague.

Greyhound racing is a notable omission from the list of sports you can wager on. However, we feel Novibet more than makes up for it with excellent coverage of the most popular Irish sports: football (including the LOI), horse racing and GAA.

LV Bet

  • Founded: 2015
  • Launched in Ireland: 2021
  • Operated by: Fairload Limited
  • Licensed by the Revenue Commissioners (Licence No. 1016541)

LV Bet isn't included on our list of Ireland's top horse racing betting sites because it isn’t offered! But while that's not the best way to introduce a new bookie to an Irish punter, LV Bet actually does many things very well.

Football is one such area. You get abundant markets, an intuitive bet builder plus ‘SuperDuper’ odds boosts for the day’s big fixtures.

As is becoming standard these days, eSports is a big part of LV Bet’s offering. There’s a range of markets for CS:GO, League of Legends, Dota 2 and live feeds of the most popular games via Twitch.

LV Bet is also renowned for its mighty impressive casino; the selection of slots is huge and new games from top casino providers are added frequently.

Why Choose a New Online Bookmaker?

In many ways, joining a new betting site is a no lose situation. You get to try a new bookie and see if what they offer is any different from the other online bookmakers you use.

If you like what you see, happy days - you have another option to add to your list of go-to bookies. And if you don’t like it, you move on.

We’re sure you don’t need any convincing to join a new betting site. But if you’re on the fence about trying something new, these points may help:

(Another) New customer offer

Ultimately, a new bookmaker gives you another betting welcome offer to claim.

Given the competitive nature of the Irish betting market and the need to stand out from the more established bookies, betting sign-up offers in Ireland can offer good value. Free bet offers like bet 10 get 50 are not uncommon and some other offers will have friendlier wagering terms on qualifying bets (like low minimum odds and more flexibility on what you can bet on).

New, innovative features/markets

New betting companies come to market with a fresh pair of eyes. This can sometimes mean never-seen-before features and markets and existing features improved.

Sky Bet for example is the first bookie offering bets on goalkeeper saves, while at LV Bet you can wager on VAR (also a first). We also feel LiveScore Bet has taken the bet builder one step further with its Quick Bets feature.

Kwiff has been responsible for arguably the most innovative move of late. Instead of crediting its users with bog standard free bets, customers can get Surprise Bets and Supercharged Cash Outs generated by Kwiff’s algorithm. The free bet could be on any particular sport or a specific bet type, it's completely out of your hands. Meanwhile, odds can be ‘Kwiffed’ (i.e. significantly boosted at random times).

More banking methods

A new betting site may, at times, be found wanting in certain areas. But that’s not usually the case with payment options.

To appeal to as many potential new customers as possible, new bookies tend to offer a range of banking methods including popular E-wallets like Skrill and Neteller along with traditional methods like debit cards and PayPal.

And if you’re really lucky, you will find a new bookie that offers some of the more widely used options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The chance to try something new

It’s an obvious one! But if you’ve already tried every betting site in Ireland, or, you're fed up with your usual bookie, then it may be refreshing to switch to a new bookmaker.

What’s more, there’s no limit to the number of betting accounts you can have so you can just as easily go and find another new bookie if you want to.

The Drawbacks of New Betting Sites

It’s good to bear in mind that for all the good things you get with new bookmakers, they can have their disadvantages too.

  • Low-value welcome offers with unrealistic wagering requirements

Yep, we’ve seen a few of these in our time. Offers that are generally unclear and for good reason - they’re low value and unrealistic.

What we mean by this is the number of hurdles you need to overcome to claim and use your bonus. Some new bookie offers can come with a high minimum deposit that requires you to spend a sizeable amount.

Others may have a high turnover requirement, meaning you have to wager your bonus a set number of times before it can be used.

  • Lack of betting features (like live streaming)

It is rare for a new sportsbook to come with all the bells and whistles you’d expect of an online bookie in 2023.

Sometimes, companies new to the industry may opt for a considered approach before going all-in and spending huge sums on improving their product.
