Stake No Longer Available to Irish Users

GRAI blocks all access to Stake
Stake.com is no longer available to users in Ireland.
As reported by the Irish Times, the sports betting and casino website has blocked Irish players from accessing its platform as the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) continues to enforce its new licensing regime for remote online bookmakers.
The new system, which came into effect on 1st July, requires licensees to follow strict requirements around verification, spending limits and safer gambling measures.
According to the GRAI’s license register, Stake does not hold an Irish license and, under the new rules, can no longer offer its product to Irish players.
Stake has now geoblocked its service, meaning users who try to access the platform within Ireland will now see a message explaining that the service is unavailable due to local licensing laws.
