Betfair launch prediction market platform
Betfair has unveiled a beta prediction market-style platform, available to a select group of UK users.
The Flutter-owned operator has added a new layer to its Exchange product, called ‘Betfair Predicts’.
The product uses Betfair’s existing exchange liquidity, allowing customers to predict the outcome of events across politics, sport and other markets.
However, rather than placing a traditional bet, users pick between ‘yes’ and ‘no’.

Legal Polymarket and Kalshi Alternative?
Neither Polymarket nor Kalshi are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, despite growing rapidly in popularity.
Betfair believes there is demand for a regulated UK alternative based on customer feedback.
The interface also features a ‘trending’ tab, similar to both platforms. Betfair previously supported FanDuel with its US ‘Predicts’ launch.
“We’re constantly testing new innovations and Betfair Predicts is an example of this work," The spokesperson said. "This is a BETA product that will evolve based on customer feedback.”
