Outmatched Review

Outmatched's Matched Betting Academy is where you will learn the basics, and more advanced concepts, surrounding matched betting - basically everything you need to start profiting from deposit matches and other Australian betting promotions.

It's well written, concise and explained for beginners although we would love to see more explainer videos (there is one, but more would be appreciated).

We found their post about account longevity especially helpful (i.e. strategies to keep your winning betting accounts from being restricted).

The Odds Matcher is the main drawcard of Outmatched (at least in our eyes). This is where you get get real-time odds for 2, 15 or 100+ bookies (depending on if you use the free or paid versions). You can use this software to find the optimal markets for matched betting deposit bonuses. In theory you can even use the software for arbs.

The tool has filters for bookies, leagues, min/max odds, time until match and a search function for finding specific events. 

The biggest downsides seem to be that only main H2H markets are covered, and only for top leagues (think EPL, La Liga, NRL, AFL, Boxing etc.). This isn't the worst (since mugs also bet on these leagues/markets) but it makes finding arbs virtually impossible. We'd also love to see some more sports, like golf, covered.

Like their sports Odds Matcher, the Outmatched Horse Racing Chrome extension shows you the live racing odds for the bookie of your choice vs the live lay odds from Betfair. This tool is optimal for matched betting Money Back for Second racing promos when used with their Cash Back calculator.

It's not quite as smooth as the Odds Matcher tool given that you need to install the chrome extension (so it can continually update with live odds). You will likely also need to be logged into Betfair to get the most accurate odds information.

Whether you are totally new to matched betting or a self-professed pro, you'll need a handful of calculators. Outmatched has the following matched betting calculators:

• Back/Lay - For calculating how much to lay on Betfair when placing a qualifying or bonus back bet at a bookmaker
• Dutching - For calculating how much to bet on the other side of a qualifying or bonus bet at a bookmaker
• Cash Back - For calculating the expected profit from betting horse racing money back promotions
• Multi - For calculating the EV (expected value) of a multi bet with a money back refund promotion
• True Odds - For calculating the true odds of an outcome based on the bookmaker's odds and their margin (overround)
• Long Term EV - For calculating the long term EV of different matched betting strategies

Outmatched's Discord is not the biggest, nor is it the most active, matched betting Discord in Australia (400 or so members at time of writing). 

However, it is free for all members, regardless of payment plan. Patrick, the main mod, is also generally very active and quick to get back to anyone with questions or requests.

Outmatched launched in February 2024, so we only expect this group to continue growing.

There are a few things you expect from a good matched betting service;

1. Educational resources to teach you how to do matched betting
2. Tools to find the best back/lay odds i.e. Outmatched's 'Odds Matcher' or BonusBank's ATM
3. Calculators and other supplementary tools
4. Discord community for questions/issues/tips

Both Outmatched and BonusBank have these things but access to BonusBank's resources are either more limited or cost more than access to Outmatched's.

1. Many of Outmatched's educational resources are not behind a paywall whereas most of BonusBank's are
2. At Outmatched $35 gets you access to odds for all 100+ bookies whereas at BonusBank $39 only gets you access to odds for 10 bookies
3. Full access to tools etc. at Outmatched costs only $35 per month whereas advanced calculators and tools cost $99 to $149 at BonusBank
4. Full access to the Outmatched discord is free but costs $99 per month on BonusBank

So while it is true that BonusBank has more extra tools like their 2up and middle software - it's up to you whether this is worth the extra cost.
