Coral Racing Super Series - How to Play
You'll now be presented with a screen showing information on the first of the seven races selected by Coral. There's some info on:
- Race location and time
- Track going and distance
- How many horses place
- Info and prices for each runner (Spotlight overview is also available on selected races if you click 'Show Info' above the list of runners)
Simply select a horse that you think will place in each race!
That's it - your seven picks are in. You'll be presented with a screen with the following options:
- Place a bet suggested by Coral based on your selections (you don't need to do this if you don't want to)
- Edit your selections (highlighted in the image): You can only submit one set of selections each week, but one of the great things about the Coral Racing Super Series is that you can go back and edit your seven picks as many times as you like, right up until the first race is underway.
Coral Racing Super Series Tips
This competition follows a knockout/placepot format. If one of your horses doesn't place in its respective race, you're out. No consolations. Nada.
If you manage to correctly call a horse to place in each of the seven races, then you'll win a share of the jackpot.
The jackpot is guaranteed by Coral at £25,000 in cold, hard, cash. That means if you're the only one to pick seven runners to place, you'll scoop the entire twenty five grand. If more than one player picks seven runners that place, then the pot will be split equally between those players.

Given that the jackpot is shared between all winners, there are two basic strategies to follow:
- Moonshot Strategy: Pick unlikely selections in the hope that you're the only winner, or one of a few, so that you maximise your potential winning prize payout.
- Little 'N' Often Strategy: Pick favourites in each race to maximise your chances of getting all seven correct, even if that means sharing the payout with a greater number of winners.

The most crucial thing to check is the number of runners that place in each race.
The image below shows the place information for three races in a typical Racing Super Series Week.
As you can see, in the larger races (in this example a Gold Cup race), additional places are paid out on. For less prestigious races or races with fewer runners, only three or even two runners can place.
Make sure you check this for each of the seven races, as it could impact your selection strategy. For example, you might feel confident going for an outside pick if up to 4 runners place, whereas in a race with only two runners placing, you might prefer to keep things tight and pick the favourite.

Picking a non-runner is not a disaster!
Remember, you can change any of your seven picks at any point up until the first race in the Series gets underway.
Once you've made your picks, Coral shows you a handy countdown timer to let you know how long you've got to edit your picks:
A lot can change in 1 day, 3 hours, 41 minutes and 32 seconds so you might think that leaving it as late as possible is the best approach - that way you'll have the most knowledge possible and you can avoid picking a non-runner.
However:
If one of your picks is a non-runner, your selection for that race will automatically revert to starting-price favourite (or the SP favourite with the lowest race card number if there are joint favourites).
That means you don't necessarily have to sit glued to your screen with seconds to go until the off to make optimal picks.
