One of the most underrated betting sites in the country, Australian import ClutchBet is one of the most impressive smaller sportsbooks that we have reviewed in the US.

Arriving to the US in 2022, ClutchBet started their operations in Iowa, but have since expanded to Colorado and Lousiana as well.

While their expansion plans have been much more conservative than other foreign imports like bet365 and Betway, ClutchBet has been slowly winning over American bettors thanks to their surprisingly robust betting platform.

When it comes to what matters most - the betting experience - you can tell that ClutchBet truly understands what makes sportsbettors tick.

During our extensive tests of their product, we encountered a great offering of popular betting options like Same Game Parlays and Micro Betting, as well as some genuinely game-changing and unique betting features, such as ClutchClash, which allows you to pit individual player performances against each other.

While their offering for niche markets could definitely be improved, we found their markets on the major US and international leagues to be quite deep, offering tons of great betting options at very competitive prices.

One of the first things we noticed upon joining Clutchbet was their superb roster of existing customer promos.

Coming in many different shapes and forms, including all sorts of boosts and insurances, ClutchBet does a great job at offering promos for local teams, such as the Avalanche in Colorado or the Iowa State Cyclones, making it an additional perk for bettors looking to bet on their home team.

While ClutchBet still needs to improve their payment options and niche markets if they plan to compete with the big boys, our feeling throughout our review was that they were truly not far off - making it a great option for any bettor looking for an alternative to the major national sportbooks.

While we find ClutchBet to be one of the most promising new brands in the US, there are still a few aspects that it must improve in order to be mentioned in the same sentence as established leaders such as FanDuel Sportsbook or bet365.

ClutchBet currently holds a license to operate in the following 3 states:

• Colorado
• Iowa
• Louisiana

ClutchBet Louisiana is the latest state to open to the public, opening their doors on April 2024.

ClutchBet is set to expand its presence in the United States by entering the Indiana market through a strategic partnership with Horseshoe Hammond, a Caesars Entertainment casino. This partnership secures ClutchBet a crucial foothold in Indiana, where online sportsbooks are required to collaborate with local retail casinos to operate.

The deal, which spans a decade, aims to give ClutchBet a long-term presence in one of the nation's key sporting markets.

There is currently no set date for ClutchBet to launch in Indiana, however, it is expected that they launch sometime in 2024.

As a smaller brand in the US, ClutchBet does not offer the huge variety of payment methods you will find in leading nation-wide betting sites like DraftKings Sportsbook or Caesars.

However, despite their limitations, they have managed to build a collection of payment methods that most sports bettors will find pretty amenable and easy to navigate.

If you would like to use your credit/debit card or transfer funds directly from your bank via eCheck, you'll be able to do so easily, as well as use cash in convenient locations such as 7-Eleven, CVS or Walmart via Paysafe Cash.

If you prefer the greater security/anonymity that comes from using 3rd party eWallets, popular options like PayPal and Skrill should give you what you are looking for.

Even if their payment method variety is somewhat limited, ClutchBet offers multiple easy and convenient ways to fund your betting account - including popular methods like bank cards, PayPal and eCheck.

Deposits are free and the funds hit your account immediately once approved.

When you're ready to cash out your winnings, you can easily request a payout on either the ClutchBet app or website. ClutchBet takes around 1-3 business days to process your request.

All ClutchBet withdrawal requests are reviewed and approved in a FIFO (first in, first out) basis. Once the payout is approved, PayPal and Skrill withdrawals will be processed within 10 minutes.

When it comes to ACH transfers, for participating banks (70% of US banks), if the withdrawal is approved before 3pm then you will get the funds in your account the same day. If your bank is not a participating bank, expect an additional 2-3 business days for the funds to hit your account.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the first time you request a withdrawal on ClutchBet, they may ask you for further documentation to verify your age and identity.

When it comes to Customer Support, ClutchBet is one of the smaller sportsbooks that have impressed us the most, as they offer some of the most accessible and personalized service we've found - even beating out some of the major national betting sites.

ClutchBet offers 24/7 support via Live Chat, as well as a dedicated phone hotline where you can speak with helpful support agents. In our tests we found their response times via email to be faster than average, and they are also active on X.

The one area we would like to see them improve is their FAQ, which offers good information but is very thin, and could use an expansion to help players find information on many topics without the need to contact support.
