Bresbet Licence Suspended 28/8/26

BresBet LTD, which operates bresbet.com, had their operating licence suspended by the UK Gambling Commission on August 28, 2026.

The suspension comes after UKGC enquiries revealed suspected social responsibility and anti-money laundering failings.

According to the Commission, the suspension will remain in place while a review of the licence under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 takes place and until they are satisfied the business is compliant.

BresBet has been informed that they are 'expected to treat consumers fairly and keep them fully informed of any developments which impact them'.

UKGC Statement on Bresbet Suspension

The Gambling Commission has suspended the operating licence of BresBet Ltd which runs bresbet.com.

The suspension of BresBet (operating licence no 065252-R-340096-002) follows Commission enquiries which revealed suspected social responsibility and anti-money laundering failings.

The Commission is now carrying out a review of the licence under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 and the suspension will remain in place until the Commission is satisfied the business is compliant.

The operator has been informed that during the suspension, they must treat consumers fairly and keep them fully informed of any developments that affect them.

The suspension, which takes place immediately, does not prevent the operator from allowing consumers to access their accounts and withdrawing funds. The business can be contacted through their websites.

On 4 September 2026, BresBet Ltd surrendered its operating licence. The operator has been reminded of the Commission's expectation that it has plans in place, and to take all necessary steps, to make sure consumers are not unnecessarily disadvantaged.
