Big Brother Season 28 Winner - Odds Shifting To Dee Valladares

Big Brother Season 28 is already producing shifting alliances, an emerging showmance and an early favourite to win. Dee Valladares currently leads the prediction market after winning the first Head of Household competition, but her close alliance with Rick Devens and central position in the house could eventually make her a major target.

Big Brother Begins With Early Power Shifts

Dee Valladares came into Big Brother Season 28 with a strong start, winning the first Head of Household competition.

Dee nominated Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown and Yash Patel for eviction. However, Mallory won the Power of Veto and removed herself from the block, forcing Dee to name Ashley Trail as the replacement nominee.

Ashley was ultimately evicted by a unanimous vote after her campaign reportedly caused other houseguests to question whether they could trust her.

Rick Devens then won the second Head of Household competition before also securing the Power of Veto. He used the veto to save Lyric Medeiros and placed Rome Seymour on the block as the replacement nominee.

With Jason De Puy, Melody Morris and Rome becoming the final nominees, Rome appears to be the primary target heading into Thursday’s eviction.

The move has also created some of the season’s first major drama, as Lyric and Rome have developed the most visible showmance so far. By saving Lyric while targeting Rome, Rick has placed their relationship directly at the center of this week’s eviction.

Dee Valladares the Early Favourite

With Season 28 still in the early stages, and many more weeks to go before true finalists become apparent, online markets are already wagering on who will win this year's Big Brother U.S.

Dee has been sitting as the most likely winner since July 13th with a probability of 17%, with Drew and Barrett as close runner ups.

Jason, Rome, and Latrice currently sit last in odds, which makes sense with their participation in this Thursday's eviction.

What Could Change Dee’s Position Moving Forward

The biggest challenge for Dee moving forward will be the outcome of upcoming Head of Household competitions. If someone outside the current majority gains power, members of Dee’s alliance could quickly become early eviction targets.

Rick has played an open game so far, revealing information about overlapping alliances and making a visible move against Rome. Although this may make Rick the more immediate target, Dee could still be caught in the crosshairs as his closest strategic partner.

The majority alliance may also be less stable than it currently appears. If the house reaches a week without an obvious target, internal divisions could become more apparent, particularly among players like Drew, Barrett and Angela.

In fact, Dee’s strong position could eventually become her biggest weakness. If other houseguests begin comparing notes and recognize how many alliances and relationships include her, she may quickly be viewed as dangerous players in the house.
