Betbaba Overview

Betbaba, "Na you be boss" betting site, brings the local betting experience to Naija bettors, but does it do a great job?

For a relatively new bookmaker, launched in 2023 by One World Unity Projects Limited, the site gives bettors access to football and other sports, live betting, virtual games, casino games, Aviator, and jackpots. It also has some useful betting features, including Cash Out, Bet Edit and accumulator bets, so you're not limited to simply picking a team to win and waiting for the final whistle.

Payments are another area where BetBaba gets things right for Nigerian bettors. The betting site supports local options including OPay and PalmPay, alongside bank transfers. In our latest hands-on testing, OPay withdrawals were particularly impressive, with three withdrawals arriving in an average of around 15 minutes. That's the sort of thing that matters when you've won a bet and don't want to spend hours wondering where your money is.

There is also a regulatory issue we think bettors should know about. BetBaba has an NLRC permit, but its Lagos State licence was reported to have expired in October 2025 and had not been renewed when the public register was checked in July 2026. That doesn't automatically tell us how a user's individual betting experience will go, but it is something we'd want to see resolved before putting BetBaba in the same trust category as Nigeria's more established bookmakers.

So, is BetBaba worth trying? It has some genuinely good things going for it, particularly its local payment options, fast withdrawals and decent selection of betting markets. But licensing questions mean we'd not call it one of Nigeria's best betting sites. It's a bookmaker worth keeping an eye on, but there are still a few things BetBaba needs to sort out.
