About Us

MyBettingSites.com - where punters in the UK come for betting site reviews, recommendations and guidance.

What we do

Our job is simple: we help punters in the UK find and compare online betting sites.

We test, review and rank UK bookmakers for a whole range of intentions to show you the differences between one bookie and another.

Whether you want to find a new bookmaker, check out the best bookies for football or horse racing, or, you just want a plain old list of the top UK bookies, our experts provide their top recommendations.

How we do it

Ultimately, we do this by testing betting websites and writing a review about our experience.

Every bookmaker featured on MyBettingSites.com is tested by one of our experts who measure the strengths and weaknesses of the site and demonstrate how it compares with the competition.

Our betting site reviews focus on the following areas:
  • Licensing
  • Payment methods
  • Choice of sports & competitions
  • Variety of betting markets
  • Customer support
  • Design & user experience
  • Mobile app
  • Sign Up Offer
  • Existing customer promotions
  • Betting site features
  • Other user reviews
  • Responsible gambling help & guidance

Who are the betting site experts?

The bulk of the content you see on My Betting Sites UK is produced by Nick and Del, both of whom run the website, test and use the betting sites they review and write the bulk of the content.

Mason also contributes to the site with the odd wise word! But since Mason's main job is to steer the MyBettingSites project in several GEOs, his role in the UK is more of a backseat one.

The trio all have experience working for bookmakers previously, and they’ve each visited enough bookies - in-person and online - to know what they’re talking about when it comes to betting.

We’re also in a fortunate position to get the view of a professional punter and UK betting industry expert, Ben Smith.

Nick has been working in the iGaming industry since 2017, initially on the US sports betting market before switching to the UK & Irish markets.

Nick’s time is spent testing bookmakers and writing reviews, with his eye for detail ensuring readers have the most accurate information available.

Away from his desk, Nick can be found pounding the streets training for his next marathon or reminiscing about that day West Ham finally won a trophy!

Del knows sports betting sites better than the back of his hand. His knowledge comes from over 11 years of working in the industry and also betting in his spare time.

There isn’t a bookmaker that Del hasn’t heard of with his interest in sports betting going way beyond reviewing betting sites professionally.

When he’s not working or wagering, Del enjoys nothing better than playing his latest Football Manager save with a big mug of Earl Grey.

Mason Kelliher
Mason Kelliher Betting site expert

Mason is our resident Aussie but we don’t hold that against him (apart from when the Ashes are on).

His main role involves helping to keep the site ticking over on a technical level while overseeing the My Betting Sites project in other English-speaking territories including Australia, South Africa and Nigeria.

In his spare time, Mason can often be found wiping the floor with someone at chess or showing the office his latest magic trick!

Ben Smith
Ben Smith UK betting industry expert

Ben has been a recreational punter for many years and is now able to pass on his knowledge and experiences of betting sites to our readers.

He was involved in the creation and launch of My Betting Sites and has contributed a significant portion of the site's content.

When he's not working on the site, you'll find Ben watching darts or trading on the Betfair Exchange.

Who owns MyBettingSites.com?

My Betting Sites International

MyBettingsites.com is UK-focused, but we also have pages for a number of other countries, and you can find them below:

We aim to provide our readers with the best and most up-to-date information about betting sites all around the world. We have staff based in many countries, meaning that our content is localised and we are able to provide educated and honest insights.

How we make money

We operate in the affiliate marketing industry which means we may get paid when a visitor clicks on a link to a bookmaker.

The same business model is also used by comparison websites that help millions of people book flights or hotels every day. This way of making money does not affect the content we share in our reviews, however.

We promote online bookmakers based on our independent research, expert knowledge and individual testing.

All of the recommendations made on MBS UK are driven by our genuine expertise of betting sites and our transparent method for testing betting sites.

Responsible gambling

We promote betting sites and, therefore, promote betting as an activity.

However, we are wholly committed to responsible gambling. Every betting site we review has a set of tools available that allow punters to control their betting and take action should their gambling habits become a problem.

All the betting companies we recommend provide several gambling control measures. This includes:

Safer gambling tools
  • Deposit Limit - set the maximum amount you can deposit per day/week/month
  • Loss Limit - set a limit on the maximum amount you can lose in a day/week/month
  • Session Limit - set a limit on how long you should play
  • Wagering Limits - set a limit on how much you can wager on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Reality Check - monitor the amount of time you are betting & get notified when you hit that limit
  • Time-Out - take a break from your betting account for anywhere between one day & six weeks
  • Self-Exclusion - take an extended period away from your account for between six months & five years, determined by you.
  • Budget Calculator - work out how much you are spending on online gambling
  • Self-Assessment - take a test to assess your gambling habits

In addition, each bookie also has information and links to organizations for you, or, somebody you know, to get immediate help and advice with online gambling addiction.

Here are the best of those organisations:
